What types of characters would you like to see around personality-wise?
Hey there! We don’t have any specific personalities in mind, but we always love characters who are able to interact (whether they are timid or hostile or anti-social) with other characters, and has their own goals, problems, initiatives and/or challenges that they can explore in the game with other characters.

Can witches fly in this RP?
Using their magic, they could! For example, a wind witch could summon the winds to help them fly. Or a levitation spell that could make the witch light like a helium balloon. Or even charming a good old-fashioned broomstick or an umbrella or a nun’s cornette to zoom around, depending on what movie they want to reference!
Please note that flying can’t be a witch’s main or frequent method of travel, only an occasional thing; it would pull too much energy from their ley line otherwise :)

Overall we’d love some businesses with a supernatural and/or magical twist to it, that has quirks aimed towards or regarding supernaturals and their eclectic needs! Some specific ideas:

is there a cure for a werewolf who was turned into one? same with vampirism? is there a cure?
Short answer: nope!
Long answer: possibly? But only to the extreme detriment/damage (mentally and/or physically) to the werewolf or vampire, respectively. Therefore a ‘cure’ is a situation that could happen to NPCs for the purpose of furthering a character’s plot. It would not work for a playable character.
It’s possible for a werewolf or a vampire character to believe there is a cure, and try very hard to find a one! But the outcome would be like humans trying to find Utopia; those who try either give up or die trying.

What kind of personalities would you like to see more of?
Great question anon! Standard disclaimer that we welcome all sorts of personalities! What matters most is interaction between characters.
But some ideas I can throw out:
The Darling: a popular person (in their group - like a coven or a wolfpack - or perhaps outside of Soapberry) who has confidence and charm. Generally beloved and/or easy to love. Might have a secret or a hidden fear etc.
The Soldierly: a person with a strong sense of duty, or loyalty. Responsibility and morality are important to them - in themselves primarily, but a hope for others as well. Might have a vice, or insecurity, or skeletons in their closet.
The Hippie: a person who is dedicated to their skill/craft, the happy-go-lucky, free-spirit artistic type who embraces love for all, has a strong positive philosophy. Might have a darker side, the price they pay for wanting so badly to be happy.
The Listener: a person who feels an obligation to help their fellow townsfolk, a listener who can provide advice, perhaps even on a professional level. Might get a high off of holding secrets, craves a sense of control.

Most wanted connections and face? Any particular connections that have been around for a while and need some love?
We have no particular face claims in mind, but we do have a list if any of those face claims catch your fancy!
So far on the WC page we have @thisbrutalbelle‘s connection. And if anyone else in the game is interested in a connection, comment to this post and let the anon know!
For my characters, I wouldn’t mind a selkie connection for @avitejsharma. Either a sibling or a selkie from his past (friend, lover, frenemy, whatever works!)

I've never been in a plotless rp...how fo you drive character development? Sorry if this sounds dumb.
It’s a great question, not dumb at all! Soapberry will have some scattered plot drops here and there (an upcoming one for Summer 2019) but for the most part characters in a plotless game drive development in a couple ways:
getting acquainted (and inspired) by other characters, and plotting between RP partners
using the the world/universe of Soapberry to further your personal character goals
Most characters come with backstories that are open-ended, allowing for progress either in resolution(good, bad, traumatic, or cathartic...) to a problem, or potential for drama/adventure/trouble cropping up from their past, or elements introduced because they are settled in Soapberry and have to learn new perspectives, aspirations, etc.
Everyone approaches character goals differently, so if you ever want to DM to talk about it, please do! We’d be happy to elaborate and bounce thoughts based off of your ideas.

What is the tag for bios? How do we find them?
Great question! We’ve made some changes regarding character bios:
All bios are the responsibility of the Player. Many characters have a Bio or About page. Soapberry Springs links to these bios on our Masterlist. Hover over a character, and click on ‘Bio’ and it’ll take you to the character’s bio page. We did this so that Players could update their character’s bio as they see fit, and outdated bios aren’t on the Main.
Anyone who needs their bio link updated on the Masterlist, please message the Main and we’ll update it!
New characters to the game also have their in-character application posted on their Follow post on the Main (tag: #sbsfollow). The mods use that as the default link for Bio on the Masterlist, until the character account makes a bio/about page of their own.

What's the best way to go about choosing a FC for a potential half-sibling of my character that might be of mixed race (they would share a Caucasian father with my character)? Does the FC need to be of mixed race as well? I just want to give several different options for any new characters/players, and not make a faux pas in the process! Thanks!
Hey there, I’m assuming this is for a Wanted Connection? Or do you mean the character you’d like to app is mixed race? Either way, if the father is white then a half-sibling could be full-white or mixed race.
I’m not really sure what the faux pas would be here, but you could choose an FC for the half-sibling from both white and mixed race (with white) FCs. If this is for a Wanted Connection, then you’re always free to leave it Up To Player (UTP for short), provided it’s established that the father is white.
