To attract a mate, males of the genus Micrixalus—also known as dancing frogs—get their groove on. They wave their feet at females during courtship rituals, a behavior known as foot-flagging. If one male interrupts another males’ dance, he might even get kicked! There are more than 20 species within the genus Micrixalus, and all are native to India’s Western Ghats.
