HELLO MAC PLS PLS PLS TELL ME MORE ABOUT MAI I AM KIND OF IN LOVE WITH HER I THINK.......... u had me as soon as i heard small town ufo type beat 👀

OK OK OK OK THE BASICS.

Sammy and Neil Parker r brothers living in a small desert town (does not have a name yet bc I'm bad at those. thinking a one word adjective name like Oasis or Radiant or smth like that. Some beautiful word and then u look at the town and it's . tiny and a desert. that kinda vibe)

Sammy is a college dropout, working as a mechanic to earn money to take care of himself & his brother. he knows SO much abt machines and how they work he's rlly good at that. He is very much a realist and doesn't indulge in fantasy or anything like that. he does not believe in aliens or ghosts or anything. UNLIKE. his little brother

Neil is likeee 14-15 and OBSESSED with space. he loves aliens and space travel it's basically all he ever talks abt. He's kinda like the boy who cried wolf tho bc every time there's a meteor shower hes convinced a ufo is crashing and drags sam out in the desert at ungodly hours of the night to look for the crash site. ofc they never find anything.. until they do

Mai is on the run from the rest of her planet- she tried to stage a one-man revolution in order to take over her own home planet which. obviously failed. so she stole a ship and ran and ended up on earth :] she's bad at flying though and crashed the ship out in the middle of the desert.

blah blah plot stuff happens Mai realizes if she can't become queen overlord of her home planet maybe she can conquer earth instead. she learns abt bees and ants and how their little bug societies are 'ruled' by queens and it goes to her head a little bit. She's like evil >:] energy but also she's basically harmless bc she's not reallyyyyy. good at anything hBGNDNSS.

she needs sammy to fix her ship bc they're a mechanic, sammy is rightfully scared out of his MIND at first but neil is absolutely fucking enamored with a REAL ALIEN being in their house. neil eventually befriends Mai bc she's not as evil as she says she is and Sammy warms up to them too.

he basically has to learn how alien technology works from scratch though bc mai is no help ("I had more important things to learn about than spaceships obviously. do I look like a nerd to you") so it takes a REALLY long time to fix her ship.

Eventuallyyyy when it does get fixed mai is less concerned w taking over a society and being an evil overlord and more concerned w like....exploring space and finding new planets and things like that. (she's still evil tho dw :). neil has just rubbed off on her). so when she leaves she offers to take neil and sammy with her. spoilers tho. neil stays on earth and sam leaves w her.
