#same with muu. she doesn't seem all that changed. after all she knows for a fact she's the most handsome guy at the party
Text
Milgram fic idea: the prisoners are bored (as they always are) and they've already celebrated every holiday imaginable. So someone suggests doing a cross-dressing event for a change. Mahiru, Mikoto and Muu help everyone find the perfect fit (Mahiru sews half the clothes herself to make it look perfect).
A bunch of gender crisis ensue.

I'd joke about this interrogation question and how I've written a whole post about her Kazui parallels and how the 0308 parallels are so very real and we have the 020708 + 06 sometimes and that isn't even going into the 0809 parallels and the 050608 family parallels, but also I'd like to take a moment to mention how isolated Amane is actually.
It seems partially self-imposed but even before this she seemed to be the most withdrawn out of all the cast members. Not only does it seem like she was alone before the prison she says herself her upbringing isn't the standard.
Amane: Aren’t we the same? Me and Warden-san. You know, I’m aware that I’m out of the ordinary. That my environment was peculiar, and that everyone [else] is normal.
Amane is so far away from everyone, both physically since in T2 she isn't really willing to talk to anyone. And uh...metaphorically I guess. I don't really know a better word for it.
Amane is so young and the stuff she's experienced is so non-standard I'm not surprised she feels excluded and isolated. Part of a cult's indoctrination process is to isolate it's victims, and the more isolated you are the harder it is to crawl out of it.
Not to mention the ways the other prisoners make her Feel Excluded. Shidou does this often by making her feel Looked Down Upon.
22/10/24 (Shidou’s Birthday)
Amane: ……Kirisaki Shidou. How long do you plan on continuing this foolish behavior? Shidou: I wonder what you might be referring to there. I’m just doing what I need to do. If anything, I’d be happy if you would lend me a hand. Amane: I warned you. I can no longer turn a blind eye to this wickedness taking place right in front of us. You’re bringing ruin unto yourself. Do you understand? Shidou: No, I don’t understand. It’s my job as an adult to teach you that throwing a temper tantrum isn’t going to make everything go your way. If it’s a test of endurance you want, I’m happy to oblige, Amane.
He doesn't Mean to hurt her but it doesn't really change the outcome does it?
Notably the people she talks recently to are the ones that ask her for advice or her opinion. Fuuta has done that multiple times and Yuno did it recently.
23/06/27 (Amane’s Birthday)
Amane: What is it…… Kashiki Yuno. Don’t sit so close to me. Go away. Yuno: Sorry for barging in when you’re getting into your worldview thing. But Mahiru-san’s finally managed to get to sleep. Humour me with some small talk while I take a break. By the way, Amane. Have you ever wished you were never born? I’ve thankfully lived a pretty fun life so far, so haven’t really. But you seem to be struggling with something. So I kinda wondered if you thought like that. Amane: ……I don’t think that. Being born into this world is the first miracle any person experiences, and is something to celebrate. Even if after birth I was put through trial after trial, the value of that will never disappear. Yuno: Hmm. Ok. ……happy birthday, then. It’s good that you were brought into the world, I guess.
It seems like Amane appreciates being listened to and being asked for her opinion, which tracks with things she said in her in the T1 VD.
Amane: I see. Then, are the things that I as a twelve-year-old think irrelevant? Are you going to cast aside the feelings that I know I have in this very moment, purely based on the fact that I have not yet lived for a very long time? Judging these things based on someone’s age will not take you very far. Do I, at age twelve, not have my own will? Does Muu-san, at age 16, have more of a free will than I do? Does Yuno-san, at age 18, have more of a free will? Does Fuuta-san, at age 20, have an entirely free will?
It makes sense to me that she appreciates this, for most of her life it seems her wants and feelings are discarded and considered unimportant.
You might notice this makes Shidou's treatment of her worse. I'm so sorry Shidou but calling her actions a "temper tantrum" was one of the worst things he could of done in this situation. At this point if you get bitten by her it's on you.
(I wonder how much of Amane's hatred of Shidou is because of her cult and how much of it is because of this behavior. Thinking about the 050608 family parallels again...)
Really, no wonder she thinks nobody is like her. The only reason why I can make all these parallels is cause I have access to her magic mind MV and the rest of the material.
Kazui does not know how much Amane lies to protect herself. Amane doesn't know that Mahiru conflates love and pain together. She doesn't even know about Fuuta and Kotoko's crimes for justice! All these people she could relate to and she can't reach out to any of them.
Their so far away from her, it seemed fine in T1 but now the distance is so much bigger now. She's guilty, most of them are innocent, and the ones who are guilty are going through their own pains. Of course nobody is like her, she doesn't know anything about anybody here.

Yknow I feel like I should have a main post where I share my Milgram opinions/verdicts (thought of this bc i was writing my sister's opinion on the milgram characters). So I'll go character by character.
Will anyone read this? I don't know but its here
Haruka: I relate to him a bit (shitty mother, intrusive homicidal thoughts, neurodivergence). I def feel bad for him but hes still really guilty in my mind. I just think the whole killing for attention thing is a really dangerous mindset you can't just get out of, especially if you're being told you're not in the wrong. And it definitely seems like he doesn't actually feel bad for the girl he killed, just feels bad because people are mad at him for it. Idk. But I enjoy his dynamic with Muu a lot, even tho its toxic i just think its really interesting. But I wish him the best and he deserves a hug. His songs are mid tho (/hj i like them)
Yuno: I love her personality and I think shes so fun, but I honestly don't think about her a lot compared to the others. But I love her and specifically enjoy her dynamics with (obv mostly in fan content) Kazui, Mahiru and Fuuta. Her and Fuuta are such a good platonic ship (romantic is fun too). Innocent vote, obv. I like her songs, but Tear Drop moreso than Umbilical.
Fuuta: Oh my god I wonder what I think of him. In all seriousness he's a major hyperfixation of mine at like every given moment. I adore him and i think he deserves better and to be innocent. Like he feels so guilty for what he did and he didn't know any better, everyone around him was encouraging his behavior and praising him for it. But then it got too far and all his friends abandoned him and blamed him like. Poor fuuta :( and he's like 100% right when he says him and es are exactly the same. On another note, major fan of 0309 (romantically, but either way works), and also love his dynamic with Haruka, Yuno, Mahiru, Amane and Es. His songs are both in my top three (backdraft being #1)
Muu: Tied for my fav character(? Fuuta might beat her idk) I love her personality and vibe and everything just ❤️❤️ queen shit. And her queen bee design is gorgeous. Typically my favs are men but shes one of the first women ive hyperfixated on this much. Again, love her dynamic with Haruka, not from a like. healthy relationships could make the characters better standpoint, but from a story perspective its interesting. But yeah guilty. As for her songs, INMF is my #2 and i like After Pain
Shidou: Honestly I used to be kinda indifferent about him and just found him to be boring but then I rewatched his voice dramas and read some fics and I like him more now. I feel really bad for him bc he went through a really shitty situation which he felt he had the power to change and was stuck in a shitty moral dilemma bc of it. And in the end he did shitty things to save those he loved and it didn't even matter. He feels so guilty and doesn't deserve it. Innocent <3. Also romantic 0507 ftw (0506 is cool too). Him and Amane are silly too. As for his songs i like them, but they're not my fav
Mahiru: i like her, but im not too like. invested in her ig. But i feel bad for her :( she just wants to feel love and like. clearly she did something wrong but she didn't know she was. She never intended to hurt anyone. So innocent. Unless we find out she like. did something really fucking bad then maybe guilty. But in I Love You it implies it was a mutual toxicity so it probably wasn't something super terrible? But anyway. I love her with like all the characters cuz shes just so fun to see interact w others, but specifically with Yuno, Fuuta, Shidou, Amane and Mikoto.
Kazui: Hes so fun i love him. Like all he wants is to be honest and be himself but he feels pressured to lie and then finally he tells the truth and his wife fucking kills herself like- jeez- poor guy. Like following the gay theory, i get why she mightve done it (imagine being told the romance you built your entire life around for like 20 years was all a lie, and that your husband never actually loved you and just pretended to and every time you kissed or something he was just pretending like. that sucks poor hinako) but its so awful that he had to go thru that. But anyway innocent, kazui come out we accept you. And stan 0507. Song wise cat is easily #4 but. half is ok ig
Amane: Yknow i love amane but I also hate her and i think part of that might be the fandom? idk. I feel sorry for her bc she grew up in such a shitty situation but also i think shes beyond the point where we can uninstill those ideologies. Like shes 12, not 5. And amane says it herself that she has as much of a free will as everyone else and that her decision to kill/stay in this environment should be valued. Not that i think she should remain in this abusive situation, but she's not just some innocent kid whose being manipulated, she knows what she's doing. Hence, guilty. I don't think either vote will change her or anything so im voting with my honest opinion. As for dynamics, i love seeing her interact with all the other prisoners, but especially Shidou and Fuuta.
Mikoto: I love mikoto a lot but im so on the fence about his verdict. Ive been voting him innocent but theres still a part of me thats like. debating it. Bc he shouldn't have to be punished for John's actions, and it sucks that that's the situation hes in, but its that or more murders are left to occur. The main reason i say innocent is under the idea that John could go dormant or just stop fronting as much if we reduce mikoto's stress (like he says will happen i think). But hes so complex and fun i love mikoto. Specifically i love romantic 0309 but also his dynamic w the smoking group and mahiru. Also i love his songs.
Kotoko: I love her but also fuck her for hurting fuuta (and mahiru too but mainly fuuta). She annoys me bc she was so quick to almost murder several people based on a preliminary verdict that was made using little information. Like she knew this wasn't a concrete verdict, but attacked them anyway. I get her ideology of "kill people who evade justice to protect the weak" but only when they've actually done bad things (ie. the guy kidnapping the little girl). But when she doesn't know what they did and knows the person accusing them doesn't either???? Like bruh. But i like her character shes fun. I like seeing how she interacts with es and everyone she attacked. And songs, harrow is okay and i really like deep cover.
Whew im done.

I wonder if Muu, someone with very little allies, would be comfortable with the only one willing to listen to her disappearing on her now that she's guilty. I wonder how many people like Mu outside of Haruka. How many are willing to help her and who will just think, "It's karma right; what goes around comes around as she said that has nothing to do with me". I know Yuno doesn't/wouldn't want to be bothered, and Futa has learned to stay in his lane. So, he wouldn't concern himself over either of them as they seemed to have not with him. Well, if his second written interrogation holds true, that is.
It's interesting to wonder if Muu can keep the same flippant attitude over what Haruka said he'd do now that it played out this way. It would seem Milgram doesn't have her or Haruka's best interest in mind. It's a bit fun to see someone who could only get as far as she did through having people beneath her indulge and at times do the work for her so willing to lose someone that meets what she's been asking for.
So, does Muu really support whatever her friends want to do or was all that talk just that talk. Now that she's having issues will she still support Haruka doing that or will it turn into a I need you so you can't do that situation. I wonder what will happen either way as guards it's best to prepare and recognize that no matter where the pin drops the blame will be put directly on our heads.
At times like this, it's important to know ones own resolve well. A person can't change what other people decide to do, only how they react to it after all. I'd rather do what I believe I should than something I think everyone else believes is the right course of action, but I'd personally regret. So, what Haruka did and Muu didn't try to stop was bound to get mixed reactions. I wonder what will come first Muu's continued comfort since she may only have Haruka on her side at this point or stinging those who betrayed her out of jealousy.
I mean this is Muu we're talking about. She may not even see this verdict as a response to her murder but a bunch of people lashing out because she's Haruka's favorite. Since all people proved was they like Haruka oh so much but what about Muu? Muu says we could just vote everyone Innocent crickets Haruka begs people to vote Muu Innocent her Innocent percentage goes up. It wouldn't be difficult for her to interpret that as "I overheard I found out...how much I'm not needed." I guess Haruka was actually the one meant to be pitied in the end.
She told us what would happen if anyone betrayed her out of jealousy. The sad thing is people like Muu tend to assume everything that happens to them that's bad is because someone is jealous. So, will Muu rely on Haruka or leave him to the birds... I guess it's more pitiful for her to lose a friend over something that could have been easily avoided then blame us for it like this is your fault guard you're so mean, right?
It's a real win/win situation regardless of how Muu let's it play out. It could easily turn into a situation similar to Futa's what if Mahiru had died then you and I would be no different scenario. Except Muu may be more than willing to not only let it happen but conveniently ignore how she was complicit in allowing it to get to this point. She may go I guess some of it is my fault like in After Pain or cry for minutes on end like in her first interrogation.
Either way, in my eyes she deserved every bit of that verdict, and I don't feel bad for her at all. Sucks to be Haruka, though. I mean having to tie something that simply isn't about him to his own wellbeing the level of commitment is wild but still sucks. Well, if she wasn't validated to begin with, then maybe things would be different... However, if you feed beasts and run out of food, something is getting eaten. At that point, the best a person can do is hope it's not them.

Showed my father (80 yrs old) Milgram trial one yesterday, and his takes are scalding.
Haruka- Guilty (he saw him bludgeon someone with a rock.)
Yuno- Abstained (He asked if he could not vote on people, and I said yes. He explained that he wasn't voting on her because he didn't know what happened.)
Futa- Guilty (Due to him being my friend's favorite, did not watch the video fully. Decided solely off that.)
Muu- Guilty (stabbed a person on screen)
Had this fun conversation though-
"What does she mean sorry spells? She's casting spells like doing magic-"
"You know when someone apologizes for doing something but doesn't really change their actions after."
"Oh, like your sister."
"Yeah, like her. I mean, you said that, not me."
Shidou- Guilty (He asked to be voted guilty. Then said regardless of what happens, he'd still be guilty when the morning came. Did what I did and assumed verdict wouldn't change his mind and if he was that adamant about it what he did was fucked up. You don't say shit like that when you've done good things.)
Mahiru- Innocent (Told him this was Star's favorite character he jokingly said Guilty then switched to Innocent. Commented on Mahiru's in his opinion large feet said her hands were nice, though. Stated after that, he hadn't seen what she did or her kill anyone, but since Star liked her, he was willing to say Innocent instead of abstaining.)
Kazui- Innocent (He didn't see him kill anyone. However, this did not mean he didn't drag the old man from the position of someone older than him. Forty is half my dads age when he was forty he was very much still fucking around and finding out.)
"This character reminds me of you a bit he's the oldest here going on forty."
"Hm, okay-" seconds into Kazui's video.
"What the hell is wrong with his pants?" Me internally, huh?
"What do you mean?"
"In the part there! Something was wrong with his pants." Rewound and paused.
"Oh, they're tight." Directly in the crotch area causing a very literal bulge to be seen if he moves a certain way. Huh, "Isn't that how fitted suits work-"
"No, they're supposed to be smooth/relaxed. not tight. Guilty he can't even get his suit pants fitted correctly-" He basically explained that suits that are fitted correctly shouldn't have that tightness in that area. They are supposed to well ya know fit the shape of one's body, making them more comfortable to walk in and cover it in a more natural way.
Which is something we see in Kazui's Birthday art-
Tumblr media
As he's sat in a wide spread position, but it's significantly less pull than what he wears on stage in Half. So, my fathers' comment literally pointed out that Kazui may be wearing a suit that was made for someone else. In a same snake, different skin way.
Amane- Abstained (Didn't see her do anything wrong explained the cult aspect, and he still abstained but laughed at Amane's belief that her murder was religiously right, which means it can't be wrong.)
"Oh, she's adorable- how could she have killed someone?"
Me making swinging motions
"Oh... she seems like a good kid, though."
His response was very much she seems like a good child. So, I have no questions here. I didn't see her kill anyone and the cult thing doesn't really change my mind. So, I'm abstaining. For context sometime earlier "Oh this is that friends favorite guilty hang him by his balls-" Futa had a good life before guilt by association ruined it again.
Mikoto- Guilty (Saw him commit murder.)
Before even starting the video-
"This character is my favorite."
"Oh, yours- Guilty, guilty as sin if you like him he must've done that shit probably the most fucked up one here."
"Hey, you're right, but hey!"
Kotoko- Guilty (Saw her commit murder.)
He was tired of all my nonsense by this point but it was very fun.
