i love it when supernatural does slow plot builds. like the buildup in s4 to learning about deans time in hell is great. you already get the hints along the way that dean remembers hell w his flashbacks and dreams but that part in yellow fever where the ghost targets people who used fear as a weapon being an early point towards deans time torturing in hell.. i love it.

#*#im certainly not against the 8-13 ep tv show season thats become more of the norm nowadays but theres something to be said about the way #a 22 ep season is able to very slowly build arcs. not every episode needs to have a shattering discovery or event but having small things #build up over time and when you actually get the full information it all clicks. i love it #same thing w 1-3 and the building of the yellow eyes plot. was it incredibly convoluted and ultimately doesnt make a lot of sense?#yes. but still i love deep lore built up over time
