A drabble thing based on something @gaiaxygang mentioned about Kang and Pimfah’s friendship. I’m a big sucker for string male female friendships in stories and I think Kang and Pimfah’s had a lot of potential.

In the near distance Sailom is taking photos with Saifai and his friends, goofing around with their hats. Kang’s sitting on a wall watching them as Pimfah comes and hops up next to him, her long legs gently swinging back and forth. They’ve known one another for so long now that their silences aren’t awkward, just comfortable and easy.

Pimfah scoots a little closer, knocking her shoulder against Kang’s.

“I’m proud of you.”

Kang glances at her, shooting a little half smile. As bashful as he’s ever able to be.

“Sailom helped.”

Pimfah nods and makes an affirmative sound. “You had to want to do better though. He’s just your reason. You did the rest yourself.”

She’d been this for Kang for so long now. His sturdy, determination before Sailom entered his life. She never accepted any of his bullshit, always saw him as more than the hurt boy acting out. Had faith in him when he didn’t. One day he knows he’ll tell her that, when he’s older, wiser and a touch braver. For now he just reaches for her hand and squeezes it tightly, earning him a smile and a nod before Pim rests her cap in her lap and leans her head on his shoulder. To anyone who didn’t know they look like a perfect couple, the picture perfect example of moneyed son matching with moneyed daughter. But life isn’t a picture and they’ve never felt anything but platonic feelings for one another.

Kang clears his throat, “So, girls huh?” Pim snorts but doesn’t move her head from Kang’s shoulder.

“Yea, girls.” She bites her lip, thinking before speaking. She’s always been that way, considered. Says what she means. “I think…it’s always been girls Y’know? It just took Napdao for me to realise.” A breath and then she continues “What about Sailom. Just him? Or, like, boys generally. That Jack Grealish obsession something more?”

Kang hmms and laughs a little, running his thumb over Pim’s knuckles where they’re still holding hands. “She seems cool.” He agrees thinking before addressing Pim’s next query. “Both I think. I thought I liked you, I really did, but you’re like a sister. I don’t think it matters to me anyway. Sailom is forever.” He clears his throat and flushes a little “The Grealish poster was definitely a sign I should have considered guys sooner.”

Pimfah makes a nawww sound and slaps a sloppy kiss against Kang’s cheek before lifting her head from it’s shoulder position. “You deserve one another Kang. He makes you better and you help share his burdens. Some people search forever for that.”

Kang nods but stays silent. He’s so aware how lucky he is, how surprising it is that he still has Sailom even with the way he behaved. “You’re my best friend Pim. I know I don’t show it well but you are. Cradle to grave right?”

Pim smiles and nods at him, swinging their still joined hands. “Cradle to grave Kang.”

Why r u , finishing ep three i think now, first of all, i like it, in a weird way, i think if they'd cut or even just changed the whole fanfic about my brother and his friends thing this wouldn't have many other problems other than the stuff that mandee just likes to do. Its been a weird day for me so im not jumping up and down a lot but i wouldn't be watching it if I didn't really like a lot of the things they do, i get how this could be like a comfort show

Still cant believe his sister's doing this but it was easier to watch the second time , without the shock of it,(watched the first three eps again) , cant believe she asked permission from cutiepieguy , like she cares, good god

The whole "lowkey bullying cause i like you" was hard to watch in cutie pie, if they do it with them here too, while tutorfighter are already somewhere on that spectrum , that mightbe too much for me, at least when they short of went there (with the 2nd cutie pie dudes) the others called it out, it just brought back cutie pie feelings, both good and bad ( i like seeing them though, i like that they're here and i really want them to have more screentime)

They're kind of touching on Fighter dealing with his internalised homophobia and i expect they'll do more of it , i think it would be interesting to see Tutor kind of ,you know its just.... Zon's panic phase is usually around Tutor, Saifai just laughs it off and doesn't take it seriously but Tutor doesn't, he tells him to calm down and i just think it would be interesting to see kind of how this whole atmosphere around queerness is affecting him , cause he seems a lot more comfortable than everyone else with it up to this point and there's the added layer of his friendship with Hwahwa while fighter flirts with him

Hwahwa and Day are adorable and i like her, the DRAMA of FighterHwahwaTutor WAS AMAZING, ESPECIALLY IN THAT SCENE WHEN SHE TELLS TUTOR THAT SHE AND FIGHTER HAVEN'T EVEN KISSED the three of them are decent actors and they're really making this whole thing work

(edit: Im enjoying the casual relationships , Tutor and Zon being friendly but not besties, the existence of various friend groups with varying degrees of familiarity, feels realistic and im loving it)

Im ignoring everything plot related for obvious reasons but im not skipping anything (football club-cute boy stuff)

Once again wondering if the cutie pie spinoff being a sequel, which means a whole season of the same problems they already kind of worked on, would be better or worse than a parallel story, literally the whole thing all over. Cutie Pie jumped between "i like it, i love them, miscommunication and all, if they make sad face ill start sobbing i just want them to be haaapppyyyy even though the drama is fun" and "i swear to god ill fucking kill them" a lot and im...short of seeing how this could go a little bit that way and mentally preparing for the spinoff.
