This is Sage! She's a very calming, soothing character who has a little garden and sells flowers and tea and stuff. She's very much a peacemaker, and a little shy.

While I know what I want her personality and colors to be, I have some details I can't decide on, so here we are! Mostly I can't decide if I want her to be a mouse puppet or a rabbit puppet, so what do you guys think?

New certification mark for solid fuel stoves and fireplaces

ClearSkies Mark has announced the launch of clearSkies, a new independent emissions and energy performance certification mark for solid fuel stoves and fireplaces.

The scheme has been designed to demonstrate appliance manufacturers’ commitment to improving air quality by developing low carbon, low emissions and high efficiency domestic heating solutions.

All appliances certified under the new clearSkies label meet or exceed the efficiency and emissions requirements for forthcoming Ecodesign 2022 regulations, and all Level 3 or above clearSkies certified appliances are also Defra Exempt for use in smoke control zones, a statement said.

A total of 222 appliances from 16 different brands can be found on the clearSkies product listing, with the number set to rise to over 300 in the coming weeks. Independent tests show that a clearSkies appliance produces up to 90% less emissions than an open fire and up to 80% than a stove that is 10 or more years old.

The scheme has been initiated by the industry through the Stove Industry Alliance.

Chair of clearSkies, Morley Sage, said: “clearSkies has been over three years in development and is the first objective and independent emissions and energy performance certification scheme of its kind. This ground-breaking initiative is clear evidence of the commitment of the stove and fireplace industry to ensure that its appliances are as clean and efficient as possible. This will mean lower emissions and improved air quality, whilst providing low carbon and heart-warming heating solutions that families can be proud of.”

Phil Cleaver, director of the Federation of British Chimney Sweeps, added: “The Federation of British Chimney Sweeps welcomes the launch of clearSkies, which should help consumers easily identify those appliances with the lowest emissions and best efficiency. These appliances will be beneficial for the environment and also cost less to run – your local Association and FBCS chimney sweep can advise.”

Finally got around to making Sage/Rosemary's Neighbor Chart!! Maybe now I can finally get myself to do her official Neighbor description XD

Here's a further description of all of their relationships for you guys! ⏬

Wally: Sage isn't very close to Wally at first, though he does make it known that he is looking out for her in little ways. Though sometimes it seems almost as if Wally is sad or wistful around her. Despite this and some of his weird behaviors, they end up as rather good friends until Sage starts remembering Rosemary. Wally and Rosemary are very close. When Rosemary was alive, Wally was one of her closest friends and confidants. Now, Wally acts as a guide and companion as Rosemary remembers herself and tries to work out who she is, and Rosemary teaches Wally about the Outside and about himself and all the new things he learns and experiences. The two of them have the closest relationship, and love each other very much. One could potentially call them soulmates @:3

Barnaby: Barnaby and Sage are pretty good friends, though they aren't particularly close at first, They become much closer when Rosemary starts coming back. Barnaby and Rosemary become practically besties, as both of them adore making horrible, horrible jokes together. He's also an older sibling/father sort of comfort figure for her at times. The two of them and Wally hang out a lot.

Sally: Sage and Sally are very close, and end up dating each other! Sally prompts shy Sage to do more things, while Sage is Sally's voice of reason. However, the relationship between Sally and Rosemary is complicated. Though Rosemary and Sage end up as one person and still love Sally, and Sally still loves Sage, their relationship is strained with the introduction of Rosemary. But no matter if they stick together or break off their relationship, Sally and Sage/Rosemary will always be close.

Poppy: As always, Poppy plays a generally "motherly"-like role for both Sage and Rosemary. She and Sage often share recipies, complete with ingredients from Sage's garden. Poppy was also very key to helping Rosemary adjust when she finally came back to herself. When Rosie would have panic attacks or get overwhelmed, Poppy, Barnaby, and Wally were the main three able to help her step away and calm down again. Rosemary finds Poppy's company very comforting and cozy.

Frank: Frank and Sage are really good friends! Frank enjoys being around Sage as she's much calmer and less energetic than the others, and listens whenever they like to talk. The two share lots of gardening tips and ideas, and Sage gives them recommendations on what plants to try out in their garden. While Rosemary is noticeably more energetic and chaotic than Sage, Frank is still pretty close friends with her too. With Rosie's new confidence, she and Frank can now enjoy sassing each other back and forth XD The two are still gardening buddies all the way, and Rosemary even helped Frank with setting up an apiary once for him to study bees!

Howdy: Whether Sage or Rosemary, the general relationship between her and Howdy remains pretty much the same: she's one of Howdy's suppliers! Whether it be flowers or herbs, syrups or supplies, Howdy and Sage pretty much engage in a "tradesies" sort of deal. Sage, of course, still runs her own shop, but a lot of her supply also goes to Howdy's store. A bonus, however, of the addition of Rosemary is that Rosemary now engages in jokes with Howdy and Barnaby, typically resulting in the three of them dying of laughter on the floor!

Eddie: Eddie is probably the neighbor Sage/Rosemary has the least relationship with, though they're still good friends and enjoy spending time together. However, between Sage/Rosemary's work and Eddie's hectic schedule, the two don't normally get to spend time together unless it's in a group. Unfortunately, they're both workaholics 😅

Julie: Julie's bouncy personality typically overshadows Sage's calm and quiet demeanor, so while Julie and Sage are pretty good friends, most people wouldn't particularly recognize it. Sage is pretty good at helping calm Julie down when she gets overexcited however, and Julie -- like Sally -- pushes Sage to come out of her shell. Julie and Rosemary, on the other hand, are very obviously good friends. Paired up with Frank, the three of them can start a teasing spree that never ends! If Rosemary isn't with Wally and Barnaby, you'll absolutely find her with Julie and Frank.

And here's the Reboot version of Rosemary!! Unfortunately no Sage for the puppet versions, but there is a Sage for the human ones! :D I'll show you guys soon ;3

But yeah, here's the gorl!! A shorty lil rabbit full of energy, sass, and focus, with the mind and mouth of a steel trap! She very much plays on the "#girlboss" vibes of the early 2000s, but I think she pulls it off -w- Also! She's a fashion designer in this AU! She mostly started out just making clothes for herself (cause she smol lmao its either make clothes or scour the toddlers' section XD) but gradually grew to making all sorts of clothing for all sorts of puppets! Julie and Frank would probably be the two who use her services most, I think -- Julie just cause the two of them will make the most outlandish, awesome outfits known to puppetkind, and Frank because Rosie can help them design some really nice androgynous outfits that they like -w- Also maybe Sally, for costumes.

oh! and! about the strings they've got tied around their fingers: it's a reminder thing! they've got a promise between them, and the strings are supposed to be like a little reminder, or a sort of sense of security it's got story implications!! but is not necessarily romantic, dw -w- it relates more to Rosemary and her memories and stuff

feel free to ask questions if you guys are curious about them, or about the difference between Rosemary and Sage! they do look alike (they're the same person with the same body after all >:3), so it can get confusing as to when to refer to her as which 👍

Some of our beautiful baby boi -w- Wally is so pretty and also quite possibly on his last fucking nerve XD Fun fact! Roses are a big symbol in my lil story, especially in the presence of Sage. A pretty direct symbol of Rosemary's existence, but one that I love to use none the less -w- "Peanut" and "goober" are common nicknames that Rosemary uses for Wally (peanut is actually one Clown used to use for him as well, I think!) :D I can't take credit for coming up with "manzanita" though, that one I got from a lovely discord user who has quite literally the best nicknames for our silly lil bean (idk if they follow me or will see this, but if you do, hello!! <3 you can absolutely let people its you i'm talking about >w<). However, Rosemary uses it cause she's half Hispanic, so some of her nicknames are in Spanish :D "little apple" is very very fitting for Wally hehehe

"Though there isn’t much known about Sage’s past before moving to the neighborhood, a couple old scripts mention her working in a previous flower shop in a far-off city before deciding to move away to run her own. In these scripts, she mentions preferring the quiet and closeness of the neighborhood over the loud city life.  "Though Sage is noted to be a gardener, she’s more often depicted in her shop or in situations with the other neighborhoods. Despite there being few scripts that have Sage actually placed in her garden, many of them describe her growing a variety of plants, from flowers to herbs, teas, and other such garden life. Sometimes she trades her produce with Howdy, sometimes she gifts or shares it with the others, and sometimes she sells it in her little shop. She often gives the others gardening advice if requested, typically Frank and Julie. "Sage is characterized as an excellent listener and loves to help the others as best she can. Other neighbors often go to her when stressed out or in need of a calm space to talk, and many scripts have her helping to settle disagreements between the others.  "Concept artwork for Sage depicts her as a hand puppet similar to Julie and Sally, with a mechanism similar to a small, finger-operated pulley system in her head to help move and lift her ears while puppeteering her head and face. HERE SHE IS!! ALMOST 6 MONTHS LATER SHE FINALLY HAS A NEIGHBOR REFERENCE!!! (here's her old reference!) god this literally took way too long to make TwT 5 whole days you guys. 5. days. BUT ITS SO WORTH IT!! 🤩🤩🤩 look at my lil rabbit go!! Rosemary will have one soon too! I'm gonna make a similar template to use for her, but with a different background -w- so it might be a bit. keep an eye out! :D

part 5 of my doodle dump! lordyyyyy 😅 I have. so many doodles. of Welcome Home XD this is probably gonna take 2 posts aflksdjfslfsdjf so this one will probably be dedicated to the concept doodles I did for Sage when I very first found out about Welcome Home (which feels weird to say, cause it hasn't been that long -- maybe 2 months? 3? -- but so much has happened since then, and Sage and Rosemary's story has changed so much!)

these are the first two groups of doodles I ever did for Sage when coming up with her design! Originally I wanted Sage to be a mouse, but then I came up with a rabbit design and wound up unable to choose between the two 😅 But you guys helped me out and now we have our lovely lil rabbit gardener!!

these are really old, from when I first was thinking of Sage's story. neither of them are true to her story now (except for the "waltism" one XD), but really was just me messing around with Wally and what would be happening with him :D

These ones, however, are much more relevant to their story now! (though not necessarily true word for word 😅) These are my concepts for Rosemary, along with her and Wally's relationship and how they interacted before Rosemary became Sage! It's a lil spoilery tbh, mostly with those last two, but generally with this part of their story I'm exploring Wally's abilities, as well as the idea of relationships (of any kind!) and support across like...spaces? existence? dimensions? i'm not entirely sure what Home/the Neighborhood is in relation to reality/Outside yet. I think I'm waiting for more information on it all from Clown before elaborating -w-
