Dear TDW,
Chief Mod Edgeworth: Yes, it was getting out of hand and he was going too far with breaking the rules and all. Still trying to slither through. At least Dawsongfg tried to get better with their letters.
Mod Gregson: As someone who likes every ask to have a "point" or a good joke, the Hotti letters also just have no material to work with? So it's no skin off my back.
Mod Zieks: Yeah, even as someone who overdoes a joke all the time, it was dragged out way beyond the 'still funny but stale' point.
Tumblr media
Dear Rogertheegg,
Chief Mod Edgeworth:
Tumblr media
Hard to say, because the thing about the Investigation games is that they're entirely focused on investigations, not trials. There'd be no point if it was called Miles Edgeworth Investigations with trials taking center stage like in the Ace Attorney games. I say that kind of hypothetical game of Miles Edgeworth having his own trials as a prosecutor should be treated as separate games from the investigation ones.
Co-Mod: Most of the characters I create are based on already existing characters in some way (not the least of which are Ace Attorney characters), so I'd probably create someone who looks and acts like Calisto Yew -- smug, apathetic, and calm until things stop going her way. Her "Objection!" would likely sound like Calisto's, too -- quiet, but firm. (Sorry I can't offer anything more creative than that.)
Mod Zieks: I really like this prompt! My general idea for a 'villain defense attorney' would be a high-charging-rates style business man, (Red White style.) Victoria Scarletti. Defense Attorney. To give a description of how I believe her character would be written:
Background: Victoria Scarletti's journey to becoming a renowned defense attorney was far from easy. Born into poverty, she experienced homelessness and struggled to make ends meet from a young age. Determined to escape the cycle of poverty, Victoria dedicated herself to her studies, excelling academically despite facing numerous obstacles along the way. Her drive and determination eventually earned her a scholarship to Ivy Law School, where she graduated at the top of her class.
Personality: Victoria's difficult past has left its mark on her, instilling in her a deep-seated desire for financial security and stability. She is fiercely ambitious and will stop at nothing to achieve her goals, even if it means resorting to unscrupulous methods. Despite her charming exterior, Victoria harbors a sense of resentment towards those who have never known hardship, driving her to crave wealth and success above all else.
Appearance: Despite her humble beginnings, Victoria presents herself with an air of sophistication and elegance. She dresses impeccably in designer suits and accessories, using her appearance to project an image of wealth and success to the world. I could definitely see her with long, dirty blonde or ruby red hair, well kept into a bun, with a silver spoon in place of the classic chopstick look (referring to the 'silver spoon' of wealth, of course.) Oh, and bright red stilettos. She is a tall girl in high heels.
Modus Operandi: Victoria's troubled past has made her relentless in her pursuit of wealth and power. She has no qualms about using her legal expertise to manipulate the justice system to her advantage, often representing wealthy clients who can afford her high fees. Victoria is not above bending the rules or exploiting loopholes to secure a favorable outcome for her clients, regardless of the moral implications.
Motivation: Victoria's tumultuous upbringing has fueled her desire for financial security and success. She sees the legal profession as a means to achieve the wealth and status she craves, and she is willing to do whatever it takes to climb the ranks and establish herself as a prominent figure in the legal world. Her troubled past serves as a constant reminder of where she came from, driving her to never settle for anything less than the best.
Tumblr media
Dear Anonymous,
Chief Mod Edgeworth: The Signal Samurai wasn't in the game and no the anime is NOT canon. In fact, I hate the anime. It keeps changing things from the game that are pointless and adding things that ruin certain aspects of the game such as Edgeworth admitting that his death note was him metaphorically saying he was dead, Edgeworth being adopted by Manfred von Douchebag and Celeste Inpax being Adrian's sister.
Edgeworth claiming his note was not a suicide note defeats the purpose of the second game and character growth. Sure, he may've not given us an explanation for the note, but that's because the game knew when to allow the game to tell the story. Edgeworth being adopted was also stupid, since again the game allowed us to come to our own conclusions about his relationship with Manfred von Karma. Not to mention it defeats the purpose of Franziska von Karma being the heir to the von Karma's. Sure, she sees Edgeworth as her brother, but it's common in Japan to call someone your brother even if you're not their brother by relation, adoption or the like.
Tumblr media
Celeste Inpax being the sister of Adrian defeats the point of their relationship and how it connects to the overall arching plot. Their relationship represents Edgeworth's relationship with his mentor Manfred von Karma and what led him to write a suicide note. Making them sisters defeats the point of Edgeworth's relationship with his mentor, what led him to write that note, makes us question if the note was legit and feels more like a comparison to Franziska, which makes no sense being that she was supposed to be a reflection of Phoenix Wright and the troubles he's going through.
The only good things I've heard about the anime were mostly the stand-alone episodes that weren't connected to the game, which makes me wonder why it couldn't have just be it's own Defense Attorney show like The Extraordinary Attorney Woo. The anime is a shell of the original game and feels like a cash grab at worst. My suggestion is to watch the live action Ace Attorney movie. It's more faithful to the games, doesn't make pointless changes and the changes it does make are because of the low budget.
Mod Zieks: It's good for what it is. Hot take, it's not as good as the games, sure, but it's a well-done voiceover that illustrates the basic plot points, while providing us a more fleshed-out version of the character's backgrounds. Also, it gave us perfect smear frames. Like this one from the Will Powers case of Miles throwing the spear, edited to look like he's being held up like a cat. (Apologies if the edit is bad, I did it myself.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dear Youryingyangjesse,
Chief Mod Edgeworth: Erm... I'm assuming you're sending this to a character with a mouse? Unless you give us a name, it's going to be sent directly to the mods. Otherwise, the only character I can think of with a mouse is a character that has a mouse as an avatar, not a pet.
Mod Zieks: (I do believe they are referring to this character: https://aceattorney.fandom.com/wiki/Vilen_Borshevik)
Tumblr media
Chief Mod Edgeworth: OH! I forgot about him! I'll answer this after this is sent.
Tumblr media
Dear Memiokoa,
Chief Mod Edgeworth: Where.
Tumblr media
ACK!
Co-Mod: I still need to play that game sometime...
Mod Gregson: Let's just be glad there's no screenshot of Phoenix calling someone sus...
Mod Zieks: Yet. There is no Phionex Wright 'Sus' screenshot.
Yet.
Tumblr media
Dear Anonymous,
Chief Mod Edgeworth:
Tumblr media
Which letters are you talking about. I can't find any letters you're referring to.
Tumblr media
Dear Anonymous,
Chief Mod Edgeworth: Believe me, I haven't answered any Hotti letters for months and thank GOD for that.
Tumblr media
Dear Anonymous,
Chief Mod Edgeworth:
Tumblr media
You mean was and I was possessed by my evil twin I had forgotten about from a decade ago. I don't know how to feel about that.
Tumblr media
Dear Steadypapersharkprofessor,
Chief Mod Edgeworth: I'm assuming you mean "design"?
Tumblr media
Artistically, in my opinion, Barok van Zieks has the best character design from the outfit, to his hair, eyes, body shape and facial expressions. The worst would be Phineas Filch, but that isn't saying much, considering all the characters introduced in Duel Destinies are all fugly. It took maybe a year for me to get used to Duel Destinies' Defense Phoenix Wright sprite. I can't be the only one getting uncanny valley feelings whenever I see Phoenix's sprite from Duel Destinies.
Tumblr media
Co-Mod: I repeat myself, but...
Tumblr media
Second place would go to Susato, whose simple yet ornate design matches her personality all too perfectly.
Tumblr media
I honestly can't decide which hairstyle I like most. That one's a tie, I guess. (No pun intended.)
Mod Gregson: To stay away from the main characters, who I think all have excellent designs... I gotta go with the de Famme twins for my favorite. Both their designs tell you everything you need to know about their personalities, and being themed after two magical animals is extra great!
Tumblr media
For the worst, uh. Sal Manella. No questions. Spark Brushel is up there too for me, but in kind of a funny way?
Mod Zieks: I really like Van Zieks. And Edgeworth. Their designs scream 'pretentious prick' in all the right way. I'd say the most recent Edgeworth design is my favorite variant. He's such a shit-eating bastard and I adore his design for it. He picked 'Victorian era vampire' as his vibe and WENT with it. Props to him.
Tumblr media
(Also I have a massive bias towards vampires, being one myself, so, grain of salt.) Also, Sal Manelia is awful. I will not be taking questions at this time.
Tumblr media
Dear Gumshoe "Letty" Fan,
Chief Mod Edgeworth: Let's see... Tucker Foley from Danny Phantom, Seto Kaiba from Yugioh and... yeah, that's about it. Any fictional crushes after that came into my adult years.
Mod Gregson: Jenny from My Life As A Teenage Robot sticks out to me right away! Other than that, uh... Naoto Shirogane from Persona 4 and Celestia Ludenberg from Danganronpa were big ones.
Mod Zieks: I'm not ashamed to admit that when I was 7, I saw my older cousin playing A.A. on their DS, and I crushed HARD on both Phionex and Miles.
Tumblr media
Dear Miraz van Nohhr,
Chief Mod Edgeworth: If anyone wishes to apply as a mod and take it, they may. But, you can't decide if Modfred should be taken or not. Either you can apply and see if you qualify so you can take it yourself (when we have another Mod Audition) or you can sit there like a log singing Untitled.
Mod Gregson: I should've taken that title... eh. Gregson's cool anyway.

Tumblr media
Dear Gumshoe-letty-fan,
Chief Mod Edgeworth: Agreed. Klavier got the short end of the stick when it came to his character. Though, he’s not the only one. Franziska also lost her father to prison and has to carry a damaged reputation because of it. If we were to go by location, which is in Japan, there’d have been great shame upon the von Karma’s to the point where Franziska would only be seen as the daughter of a criminal. Thankfully, she did develop from that, but I believe there is a huge character arc missing from Franziska and one I think a lot of fans wish to see.
Tumblr media
Though the one I’d have to choose that had the saddest things happen to him or her, it would be Maya. She’s lost her sister, then was arrested for it. That’s got to be traumatic for her. I don’t know what I’d do if I lost my sister and found myself convicted for her murder in one day, let alone five minutes. I mean the girl was so traumatized that she fainted and Phoenix had to carry her to the couch. Then, to find herself arrested because her name was on the receipt her sister supposedly wrote? It doesn’t even end there. A year later, Maya gets arrested again because her Aunt wants to get rid of her to make way for Pearl to be the new Master. Morgan Fey had raised Maya throughout most of her childhood. To find out that someone who is supposedly a second mother to you wants you arrested and possibly dead has to be one of the most dreadful things to swallow, not to mention a serious betrayal. And, just when you think it couldn’t get any worse for Maya, her Aunt makes a pact with her daughter Dahlia WHILE IN PRISON to set up a plan to trick Pearl into channeling Dahlia to kill Maya. Not only is that traumatizing for Pearl, but that is an extra burden on Maya from her end. That’s not counting her mother being killed because she was channeling the very person that was trying to kill her and her sister’s fiancé had to step in to save her. This is just the trilogy. I haven’t even got to the Inmee’s and that whole debacle.
To this day, I do not know how Maya could move on from that. Most people would be suicidal at this point. Yet, she’s able to pick herself back up and move on. I’m convinced Phoenix and Pearl are the reason, but I cannot understand how Maya can go through all that shit without developing some form of PTSD or Depression. It’s one thing to think you killed your parent, but to have your own family try to murder you is another kind of trauma I would not wish on my worst enemy. If I had to choose between Edgeworth’s and Maya’s backstory for anyone, I’d choose Edgeworth’s because he at least can move on knowing he didn’t kill his father and that his mentor is a bitch. I’d like to ask anyone how they’d be able to move on from knowing their secondary mother and Aunt tried to kill them over a leadership position? Edgeworth barely was able to move on from DL-6. How Maya was able to move on from all this shit is a godsend.
Co-Mod: That’s a tough one, but for me, I’d say it’s a tossup between Maya and Athena.  Both of them lost their mothers and were apparently abandoned by their fathers, but unlike Maya, Athena had to actually see it happen during her childhood (and it sure wasn’t a pretty sight), which was so traumatic for her that she didn’t even remember most of it until years later when she had to confront it in order to prove her innocence, and she even had to face the possibility that it might have been her who committed the murder on top of that.  To not only come out of that okay, but to have a constant can-do attitude afterward is nothing short of an incredible feat.
A close second would be Simon Keyes, who developed trust issues at a young age and came to believe that even the law was against him.  As cruel as he became, he was someone in need of saving, as Edgeworth pointed out, and that rescue didn’t come until the very end.  Better than nothing, but it’s still hard for me not to feel for him, or for anyone with that level of mistrust.
Tumblr media
Dear Charicla,
Chief Mod Edgeworth: I’ve never used it, so I wouldn’t know.
In any case, I’ve already decided to delete any letters that look or read like what that troll had been putting out. Even now, they’re trying to sneak in letters from Hotti under different Anonymous names. Thankfully, it’s easy to know which is them, because of their writing style alone.
Tumblr media
(Referenced Link)
Dear Anonymous,
Chief Mod Edgeworth: We never get to the letters in the inbox for a month or a few weeks. Either way, it seems you guys didn’t need our help for Shoe and Wagahai to win against the Baron.
(I’d have voted for both to be honest. I love The Cat Returns.)
Tumblr media
Dear Anonymous,
Chief Mod Edgeworth: Clay Terran. Apollo kept mentioning him throughout Duel Destinies and we never get to see him. I think we should have seen Clay instead of just being told of his existence by Apollo.
Co-Mod: Cindy Stone comes to mind.  I’m not a big fan of models, but it’d be nice to know why she had a soft spot for Larry despite having so many other men who admired her.
Tumblr media
Dear Charicla,
Chief Mod Edgeworth: I’ve never used the block tags on here, so I don’t know what to do about that. As I have said before, the Hotti letters from that troll are gone now, so it shouldn’t be a problem anymore.
Tumblr media
(Referenced Letter)
Dear Anonymous,
Chief Mod Edgeworth: Yes and no. The Squid Game letters were going around at the time and I couldn’t come up with better ideas for Gant’s response.
Tumblr media
(Referenced Letter)
Dear Pun,
Chief Mod Edgeworth: I wasn’t a mod at the time. I’m assuming this is from Co-Mod. If it is, he’ll answer below. Either way, your words are appreciated.
Co-Mod: Yep, that was me.
Tumblr media
I probably wouldn’t have noticed it myself if you hadn’t pointed it out.  It’s always fun discovering things you didn’t notice before like that, so I’m glad I was able to create that moment for you.
Tumblr media
Dear Anonymous,
Chief Mod Edgeworth: Honestly, all of them. I did mention in your previous letter about not telling the same joke more than three times. This is one example of how it could be done if you were to break that rule. The reason it works is because you’re using the same joke to multiple people, each one of them being different from the other.
Tumblr media
If you really want to start doing letters again, I’d start by either STOP making Hotti letters altogether or writing letters that do not involve Hotti. Take a lesson from Dawsongfg. If you want to write letters again, stop writing the very letters that got you blacklisted in the first place.
Co-Mod: Do old ones count?  If so, I’d probably go with this one.
Tumblr media
Dear Rogertheegg,
Chief Mod Edgeworth: To be honest, I’m not sure. However, someone on here did create an OC that is close to an ideal Prosecutor for Athena. The only thing I remember is that her name was Steele. I loved her design and how she has that Old World/by-the-books mentality that opposes Athena’s New World/technological views. It’s an interesting idea and something I feel we need more of in Ace Attorney: Prosecutors that aren’t assholes and just have a different perspective on things. Sure, we had Klavier, but it’s clear he was only there to represent a reflection of his brother, who was the asshole villain.
Tumblr media
This is why I’m excited about having Kazuma being a Prosecutor because this means the third game of TGAA will give us a Prosecutor that isn’t an asshole. I think Kazuma would do better as a Prosecutor that isn’t an asshole (the unlikable kind anyways) and is just a Prosecutor with a different set of views. The last case gave us an idea of what that would look like. Just get rid of the revenge thing and you have a Prosecutor who’s stubborn with his views and how he views a crime scene that would be an excellent opponent to Ryunosuke with an overarching conflict that would flow well with it.
Co-Mod: Simple -- use Franziska’s sister (or her niece if she’s a prosecutor by now, which wouldn’t be surprising).  In the words of Phoenix, it’s scary when women fight, and who wouldn’t want to see women like them in a face-to-face courtroom brawl?  I don’t even know what Franziska’s sister or niece are like, but I’m still willing to bet it’d be pretty epic.
Chief Mod Edgeworth: Why does every von Karma have to be a Prosecutor? Can’t we have female prosecutors that are original?
Tumblr media
Dear Anonymous,
Chief Mod Edgeworth: I think your letters with Phoenix acting stupid are great examples of this. The reason your letters with Phoenix acting stupid work is because he often does this. Granted, there’s context behind it, but it’s because he’s done this before that even Edgeworth can believe those letters are from Phoenix, even if it makes him OOC or more stupid than he normally is. That’s usually the key: it has to be something other characters could believe the character you’re writing would say/do. I will give you one example by using another character known for doing stupid stuff: Dick Gumshoe.
Dear Mr. Edgeworth,
Man, that Wright character ain’t never gonna win this one for sure. The man I just arrested was the only one found next to the victim inside the bathroom. Sure, the fingerprints don’t match the weapon, but he probably wiped it off or something. It couldn’t have been anyone else but him. Let’s see Mr. Wright try to beat us this time!
- Detective Gumshoe
Tumblr media
Now, while this one does put Gumshoe OOC for arresting someone, knowing the fingerprints don’t match the gun, it is like his character to arrest someone because their name is on the back of the receipt. He also sees Phoenix as an opponent and someone to prove that he’s a good Detective, given how many times he gets his salary cut. You could have him arrest Oldbag because she lost her temper and it would work. Then, you have this:
Dear Mr. Edgeworth,
I just arrested Mr. Wright. I always knew that guy was up to no good! You can count that we’ll get that guy in prison in no time!
- Detective Gumshoe
Not only is this OOC of Gumshoe, but this is not the kind of man he is. He’s not someone who arrests or finds joy in arresting anyone he considers a friend. Hell, he couldn’t even think straight when he had to testify to his crush being a murderer TWICE. He demanded Phoenix to defend Edgeworth the moment he was arrested and he defended Kay when she was accused of murder while amnesic. He might be reckless when arresting someone, but when he has to arrest a friend, he’s going to investigate and find anything he can find to prove his friend didn’t do it. If he has to testify to his findings that point to his friend being the killer, he’s going to be sadder than Ema Skye eating snackoos.
That’s what you do right with Phoenix. Yes, you’re having him point to everyone being the killer except the killer, but it’s closer to the kind of person he is. He does tend to do that under pressure. You also make sure that he’s not pointing to every character in the games and only points to those who testified in court (like he’s not pointing to Larry and Maya when neither of them testified. I don’t even think you had him accuse Ema since she kinda was in the middle of the trial and Phoenix pulling that stunt would make him seem less stupid and more cruel). Does this help?

Dear Ms. von Karma,

If I may add in something, didn’t you call Mr. Wright ‘Foolishly foolish fool’ for how long and NOW you compliment him?
Are... you okay, Maim? I don’t know, it just feels weird when you’re praising the boss of all people, even if he did build a name for himself.

Okay, back to the serious topic at hand, if this is the real Franziska von Karma speaking, then bring it on!

These are letters regarding the situation that recently transpired. After this, we will no longer be answering any letters regarding politics. All of us agree that this blog needs to strictly stay out of politics. In truth, politics should never have been the center of this blog. After this, any letter regarding politics or the situation will be deleted.
This is a blog that focuses on answering letters to Ace Attorney canon characters. It does not discriminate anyone or any mod based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, politics, etc. and such actions are not tolerated. If you believe one of our mods is discriminating for whatever reason, show solid evidence and we will handle this privately. A support for a former or current president of a country is not proof of discrimination and neither are political memes posted on a personal account.
(More Politics Ahead)
Tumblr media
Dear rogertheegg,
Co-Mod: Nope. Everyone’s welcome here, regardless of political leanings.  I’m afraid I’m as clueless as you are about what exactly happened with the two former Mods (they didn’t even say anything to me about it), but it’s all water under the bridge as far as I’m concerned.
Mod Edgeworth: Absolutely not! I have never tolerated political discrimination. You are allowed to believe whatever politics you want.
Tumblr media
Dear kunaiman,
Co-Mod: High five.
Mod Edgeworth: Thank you very much for your support.
Tumblr media
Dear Mistakes,
Mod Edgeworth: I’m not going to go into anything else regarding my politics, but I will state my reason for outing myself: I’m doing this for Co-Mod.  I do consider him a friend of sorts and I do not wish for him to have to suffer this blowback alone. So, if you want to state your grievances, go ahead.
Know this though, I am still the same mod you have met and have never hidden my character from any of you. My politics do not define my character and neither does Co-Mod’s politics define his character. The same goes for anyone else. I’m just someone that leans Conservative and voted for Trump. If that makes me a bad person, even if I do stand against any discrimination, then I will gladly accept it.
Co-Mod: So, here’s the truth about me, Donald Trump, the MAGA Committee, etc. (and this is from the horse’s mouth, so anyone who says otherwise is lying) -- I’ve never been a huge fan of the guy, but I supported the good things he did and wanted to do during his presidency -- creating jobs, draining the political swamp, promoting patriotism, and so on -- and for that, I feel no shame.  I also wished he could’ve kept his big mouth shut about a lot of things, but overall, I saw him as someone who stood up for people who’d been largely ignored before he came along -- namely, middle class Americans. If you see him and his presidency differently, I won’t hold anything against you for it, so I respectfully ask that you do the same for me.
Tumblr media
Dear Anonymous,
Mod Edgeworth: Don’t worry, I know who you are. You maybe under anonymous, but when we receive your letter, it isn’t anonymous lol. What we do is place your letter in photoshop and get rid of all your identity. Thank you for your support and I agree.
This blog will continue, even if it’s under a very few of us. I will allow everyone to display their grievances in the comment section. They have just as much right as Co-Mod and I do.
If there’s anyone I wish for you to support, it’s Co-Mod. He’s the one being the most effected by all of this. I don’t believe politics should have been involved or that we should have to justify why we believe in our politics. Neither have to do with our love for Ace Attorney.
Tumblr media
Dear I’m still surprised,
Mod Edgeworth: I’m guessing this is for Co-Mod, because it doesn’t seem like you’ve read my own defense. I literally stated that both Co-Mod and I support LGBT and that the letters deleted because of shipping had nothing to do with any political beliefs. Beyond what I stated in my defense (despite what Co-Mod states below), I won’t say anything more. Non of us have to justify why we support a former president. I have my reasons just like anyone else. It doesn’t make me a terrible person and I will forever stand for everyone’s rights to believe whatever politics they believe.
Co-Mod: It’s a shame I have to say this on an Ace Attorney blog of all places, but where is your proof that I or anyone on my side of the aisle takes any enjoyment in seeing anyone dead or oppressed, whether in a minority or otherwise?  I can only assume you’ve been listening to some skewed sources, or that there’s something huge I’m missing, because I’ve yet to see any right-wing groups reach that level of hatred.  (And if you know of any, please fill me in.  I mean that honestly.)
As for why I left same-sex attraction out of this blog, it’s simply because I see it as a divisive topic rather than a simply controversial one, (i.e. the death penalty, game piracy, etc.).  I’ve also proven several times that I’m not very good at addressing it without people getting rubbed the wrong way, so I decided to play it safe and not discuss it at all.  I’m happy to talk about it anywhere else, but a blog about Ace Attorney didn’t seem like the right place for it to me.  On top of that, there are plenty of blogs about peoples’ same-sex ships all over Tumblr, so why complain about this one?  If there’s a rule stating that Ace Attorney-themed Tumblr blogs are required to include those ships, I sure haven’t heard it.
I’ll admit this much -- like Phoenix, it’s something I can’t claim to understand, so maybe I still have some learning to do about it, but if I’m going to be accused of bigotry, I’d like to see some solid evidence of it.  Assumptions don’t count in my book.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dear Dailystir,
Mod Edgeworth: Thank you. I’m not going to address anymore than I already have. I will not and refuse to mention anything else on my politics. Just like how you said, I am more at the center in the political world. I lean more Conservative, but I am Independent. I consider both Republicans and Democrats to be two different wings from the same bird.
I’m also glad you do not consider being a Trump supporter to be in the same basket as being a racist, bigot or any of that. These days, I can declare myself as a supporter of Andrew Jackson (I’m not btw) and not be against Natives, even though he was the reason for the mass genocide of thousands of Native Americans. I can openly support Martain Luther King, yet not be considered homophobic, even though he was against LGBT. I can consider myself a Bill Clinton supporter and not support raping women, even though that’s what he did in office. Yet, the moment I declare myself a Trump supporter, I’m automatically Anti LGBT, a bigot, a sexist, a racist and a phobe of some sort, because Trump supposedly is? What a world we live in! I can’t remember the last time supporting a political figure or celebrity made you a terrible person.
As for Mod Vera and Mod Maya, I still wish they could’ve said something to me or Co-Mod, if they truly felt uncomfortable. I’m still willing to talk to either of them and hear them out. I don’t blame them for doing what they did. I don’t know them or what life they live in. I have talked to someone, who had faced bigotry  and hate from Trump supporters in their area to the point of fear. I’ve even seen a Trump supporter bully an Anti Trump Supporter and I ended up reporting the bully, then calling them out for their behavior. I can say from experience that when you face real discrimination, it puts you in a state of fear to never express yourself or your identity. My family faced that and so did I. It’s the reason I’ve never revealed my race, gender or sexual orientation and can understand where Mod Maya and Mod Vera are coming from.
I think the real takeaway is to not judge anyone based on their politics, but also to not hate anyone who does. You will find bigotry on any side of the political spectrum from any group. To say there is none on any side is spouting ignorance.
Tumblr media
Dear Anonymous,
Mod Edgeworth: It is sad, though even if I do understand where Mod Vera and Mod Maya are coming from, I still can’t justify them not talking to either of us first. They never spoke to either of us and assumed the worst out of both of us. They never asked us anything or mentioned their concerns. I’m certain, even now, they’re still assuming things.
Had they mentioned their grievances, I would have been willing to talk with them and work things out, but we were never given that chance. It kinda hurts, because they said they understood when I told them I was staying out of politics and was willing to admit that I supported Trump and am an Independent Conservative. Then, they pull the rug from under us and claim we are against ethnic minorities and LGBT. That’s why I wish they could’ve said something.
I’m still willing to talk to either of them, but I doubt they’ll want to hear from me. No amount of context is going to change that. If it did, they would’ve talked to me about it before leaving.

P. S. Co-Mod: As ugly as this can of worms is, it’s been a fun practice in defending my beliefs and decisions.  Never underestimate that skill, everyone.
Mod Edgeworth: I still can’t believe this was brought out at all. I’m so sick of politics!

Dear dawsongfg,
Mod Edgeworth: I think there should be an extended version of this and there isn’t any!

Dear dawsongfh,
Mod Edgeworth: Using letters from nine years ago is not evidence. Even we don’t consider our letters canon.

Dear Someone,
Mod Edgeworth: Dawsongfg hasn’t gone that far yet and I do see that they’re trying to calm themselves down. You’re only not seeing it, because the letters from Dawsongfg are from May and June. The ones released that were to us before were before we placed that rule in. You will see a difference in moment’s time. That, I can promise you.

Dear Anthony,

I’m doin’ all right for the most part, and I hope the same (or better) can be said for you.  It’s always nice to hear some approval every now and then, even if it’s just from one person, so thanks a bunch!  It helps more than you know.

Dear Anonymous,
Mod Edgeworth: I’ve only seen a Let’s Play of it, though I can’t remember the Let’s Player.
Co-Mod: I’m not too familiar with it, but I watched the trailer video.  The story looks...

Dear Rogertheegg,
Mod Edgeworth: I have to disagree with that or else you’re mistaking Kristoph Gavin to Calisto Yew - a Defense Attorney who was a great concept with horrible execution. I find Kristoph Gavin to be ten times more evil and much more intimidating compared to Manfred Von Karma. Believe it or not, Kristoph Gavin is one of my top five favorite villains of AA. Manfred Von Karma is only my favorite villain, because he hits me on a personal level. If anyone can send me a character essay on Kristoph Gavin, I would totally do it. In fact, you can send me a character essay request, if you’re interested to know why I love Kristoph Gavin as a villain.
Tumblr media
As for how I would do it, if I was to write a fan fiction with a Defense Attorney as the big bad, I would likely give the villain a personal connection with the main character, a motivation to make that villain a foil, use their job as a means of being that foil in a unique way, place them in a position of power higher than the main character and execute it in a way that makes them a terrifying villain that is a foil to the main character. That’s my basic blueprint. Since Kristoph Gavin was already done, I doubt I could do anything better than that. Mine would likely take inspiration from Calisto Yew, since she is a villain that was a great idea with bad execution.
Co-Mod: I’m mostly in agreement with Mod Edgeworth, but I just remembered another defense attorney who could potentially fit the category of the “Big Bad” if one were to add a few more details to his story -- Robert Hammond.  All we know about his career is that he decided to leave Grossberg’s office and start his own firm, and that he cared more about himself and his reputation than his clients.  He may have already received his comeuppance for it, but for all we know, Yanni Yogi was only one of several people who suffered injustice at his hands, so if we were to turn back the clock a bit, I imagine we’d have a good place to start for creating a bad guy defense attorney.
...That doesn’t count as cheating, does it?

Once again, I can use the encouragement (as can we all, I imagine.)  I’ll miss all y’all as well, but hopefully I’ll be able to find a different avenue for providing some form of entertaining/educational content.  I’m also very grateful to have been able to share my love of Ace Attorney (and comedic writing in general) with so many awesome, fun, creative-minded...

Co-Mod: Now there’s a good question.  I wish I had a good answer to go with it.  One thing I know for sure is that I’d probably do a lot of profuse sweating.

Dear skibot99,
Mod Edgeworth: Are you talking about the anime and manga adaptation of Ace Attorney? We don’t consider either of those canon. I especially do not consider the anime Ace Attorney canon. Now, I have used the anime and live action movie as a reference in my Manfred Von Karma Character Essay, but it was specifically talking about the game adaptation of the character, not the anime or live action movies.

Dear dawsongfg,
Mod Edgeworth: Your letter never specified. If you want us to answer a letter to a character that takes place in a specific timeline, you need to let us know where it takes place in the letter. You can do so by posting “Post AAI2″ or having Simon mention about his own or his father’s arrest in the letter.
Tumblr media
Thanks for the compliment. I did most of the Father’s Day letters, since I did feel it was unfair that non of the Holiday letters were getting answered. There are still some that we will save for next year, but I’m glad people had fun. I want to encourage everyone to send letters for the Holiday, since I suspect many aren’t that enthusiastic due to not being able to predict when those letters will be reached by the time the Holiday starts. I think having it done three days in advanced before closing it at the end of the Holiday will work the best.
Co-Mod: An obligatory thanks from me as well!

Dear dawsongfg (again),
Co-Mod: I take no responsibility for Edgeworth’s naturally scary facial expressions.
My favorite book overall would be the Bible, but if we’re talking about non-religious texts...probably J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit, since it was one of the first novels I ever read through on my own.  And my favorite season?  Summer, no question.  Water parks, swimming pools, fireworks...  How can you not love it?  Well...when we’re not recovering from a pandemic, that is.
Mod Edgeworth: I don’t really have a favorite season or book. I have read some good books, but I’m no bookworm. I do get invested in reading the Bible.
Mod Justice: Favorite book is actually a series of books: “Big Nate” for the win! Favorite season? Depends on where I’m at when it hits. I mostly prefer Fall and Spring (not too hot, not too cold), but in Texas, GIVE ME THE LAST TWO SEASONS OF THE YEAR ALREADY! GOOD GOD, I’M BURNING UP!

Mod Edgeworth: Hehe Phoenix has never had the best fashion sense, has he? The moment he walks out of the courtroom, he automatically becomes a fashion disaster. Just ask Beanie Phoenix.

Speaking of Blaise Debeste, we never really did get a reason for forging that autopsy report on Isaac Dover. Dear dawsongfg again (again (again)),
Co-Mod: That’s called cheating, first of all.  I actually do like plain cheese pizza, for the same reason as Mr. Engarde, oddly enough.  I’m afraid I have no idea where that tag came from, though.  Ask Tumblr.
Mod Edgeworth: Sorry, but I already gave the cookie away to the one who actually got it right... I prefer chicken and spinach with Alfredo sauce on my pizza.
Mod Justice: I’m more of a “Meat Lovers” kind of guy. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!
Tumblr media
Dear Blaise,
Co-Mod: Your mail’s here.
Tumblr media
Mod Edgeworth: Personally, I wouldn’t mind having a new female or male villain. Though, the worth of any villain, protagonist, side character, etc. should not be determined based on gender. I honestly hate the concept that there should be more females in Ace Attorney, because they’re women. I don’t enjoy Dahlia Hawthorn, because she’s a female villain, but because of how she uses her beauty to manipulate everyone in her wake. Same with Morgan Fey, Dee Vasquez, Gar’ran, Cammy Meele, Calisto Yew and Patrica Roland. I love them as villains because of what they bring to the table, not for their gender.
Tumblr media
I think this whole there’s not enough women in Ace Attorney is a concept based off of the number of male vs female characters, believing it’s male dominated and thinking there should be more females. That’s a very flawed way of thinking and borderline sexist in my opinion. In every story or game, the quality of the female and male characters should be the center focus, not the quantity. You can have 100 female characters that suck in a story and I will always prefer a story with well-rounded characters, even if there’s only one that’s female in that story.
Now, I do think there should be more memorable hot villains, but that’s my hormones talking.
For your second question, I think Manfred Von Karma is in serious need of an established relationship with Miles Edgeworth and Franziska Von Karma. I’d also like to know more about the Von Karma family. Everything else, I think a majority of people have already brought up.
Mod Justice: I think if there’s anything that needs more elaboration in the Ace Attorney series, it’s the motives of the killers whose motives are not stated (not including “implied” motives), i.e. Luke Atmey’s motive for killing Kane Bullard. As for the-

Co-Mod: I’m tempted to say more female villains would make Ace Attorney more interesting, but...they tend to be a lot creepier than the male ones in this series.  I mean, it’s not just me, right?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then again, maybe that’s my mild fear of women talking, but there’s a limit to how much femme fatale I can take.

Dear dawsongfg again (again (again (again))),
Co-Mod: Correct!  I used good old Google Translate to come up with that term.  And I’d love to hear anything our subordinates the characters have to say to us.  We’re all friends/acquaintances here.
Mod Edgeworth: I believe so. We’d treat them no differently than any other letter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Referenced Letter)
Dear Anonymous,
Mod Edgeworth: Yes. We don’t consider Dawsongfg a bad troll or at least I don’t. I think he was just teasing Mod Justice and took it a bit too far.
As for the insults against Co-Mod and myself, you’re going to have to ask Mod Justice on that one.
However, one thing I must clarify is that Dawsongfg is not a harmful or bad troll. They often do stuff like this as playful banter. Mod Justice was answering letters for the first time, unaware of any of Dawsongfg’s shenanigans. It took him by surprise and we agreed that Dawsongfg took it a bit too far, if only because name calling was involved and Mod Justice was new. Had it been towards Co-Mod or myself, we’d likely have played along like usual. On top of that, these letters were taken off of the mobile devices, which were invisible to us at the time. All of Dawsongfg’s letters had gone unanswered that were a month’s worth, so it’s likely that Dawsongfg thought we were ignoring their letters.
Tumblr media
One thing everyone needs to keep in mind about new mods is that they are still trying to adapt to their new environment and understand how everything ticks. It’s okay to mess around and be a playful troll, but each of us are different and may take it differently than the other. Luckily, Mod Justice didn’t take it personal and sees now that this is just their shtick. Another thing to keep in mind is that not all trolls are bad or troll for their own amusement. I once created a troll account on YouTube to make others laugh. I believe Dawsongfg is that kind of troll that is trolling to make us THE MODS and you THE AUDIENCE THAT READS THE LETTERS laugh. A majority of the popular anonymous letters that had the most likes were from Dawsongfg. I think we can forgive them for taking things a bit too far, wouldn’t you say?
Mod Justice: Yeah, he was. At that point, it turned from “teasing” to “insulting.” I mean, if someone hates Apollo, fine, to each their own. That does NOT give them an excuse to throw insults at people who love him.
Although... I understand he was joking at these times (and he did make me laugh), but then again, there’s a difference between “joking” and “blatantly and verbally attacking” someone and saying it’s a joke. Let me tell you guys something:
IT’S ONLY A JOKE IF EVERYONE IS LAUGHING WITH YOU WHEN YOU TELL IT.
When you actually insult someone and they are hurt, maybe you should apologize instead of dismissing it as a goddamn joke. Call me sensitive all you want, but it seems that “treating others the way you want to be treated” is starting to become optional nowadays.
Tumblr media
Dear Anonymous,
Mod Justice:
Tumblr media
Yeah, quick reminder: with the exception of these “Mod Letters” and characters that AREN’T related to Ace Attorney whatsoever (i.e. Mario, Sonic, Pokémon, etc.), all submissions to the AA characters themselves that mention the terms “Game,” “Characters,” or anything else that implies they aren’t “real” get deleted into Cyberspace. Also keep in mind that the “April Fools” letters from this past year don’t count.
Co-Mod: That’s true, unless we can find a way to work around it.  I’m afraid I don’t which letters you’re referring to, but you’re forgiven nonetheless.

Dear bluedragoncody,
Tumblr media
Mod Edgeworth: I’m not usually one for countdown videos, but I suppose I can check these out when I get the chance.
Co-Mod: I only had time to watch the “Top Fourteen Ace Attorneys” video and I just have to say, anyone who places Athena in their top three clearly knows what they’re talking about.  I also enjoy it when someone puts effort into editing a video (especially one that involves original art), so I appreciate that as well as his insight into the characters.
Tumblr media
Dear Vivyn,
Co-Mod: It’s actually pretty simple.  Just click the gear icon in the top-right corner of your editing window (for lack of a better term), then go to the drop-down menu next to Text Editor, select HTML, and place the text you want to be small between the tags <small> and </small>.

I hope you’ll make good use of it!

Sorry, but nobody out-styles the Cykester.  I welcome any challenger to her superb styles in the courtroom (as would she, I’d imagine).
Tumblr media
Dear Rogertheegg,
Mod Edgeworth: I’d like to have known more about Gregory Edgeworth. He’s the best Defense Attorney and Best Dad.
Tumblr media
Co-Mod: I'd love to know more about Detective Arme’s background, too, now that you mention it.  The attitude she displayed upon discovering Ted Tonate’s bomb-selling business makes you wonder what she was like on the job.
I’d also kind of like to know a little more about Cinder Block Cindy Stone.  I’m not exactly a huge fan of models with a bunch of Sugar Daddies, but she apparently felt some attachment to at least one of them, as pointed out by Phoenix.

And to top it off, it’s the Butz, of all people.  That takes a special kind of girl.  I almost (almost) want to see what their relationship could’ve become if not for her cruel fate.

Co-Mod: Can do!  His tag is now #British Judge.  With that in mind, we may have to pick something else for the judge from Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.  That’s become my main strategy for new things here, anyway.
Mod Justice: Perfect. Thanks!
Also, regarding Co-Mod’s response above: here’s an idea for the PLvsAA Judge: “English Judge” (I mean, he DOES appear in “The English Turnabout,” after all).
Tumblr media
Dear dawsongfg,
Mod Edgeworth: ...... they’re alright. I prefer the ones with chocolate chip or from Dennys.
Co-Mod: I’m more of a waffle fan.  Pancakes are nice, but...kinda boring to look at, in my opinion.  Of course, that might just be because I once worked at McDonald’s, where I saw more than my fair share of them.
Mod Justice: They’re fine, but I always preferred the “Fast Food Breakfast Staple”: the Breakfast Sandwich. I especially love the ones at McDonalds with the “Griddles” as the bread! That with sausage, egg and cheese between them are definitely my favorites out of all the variations.

Ahem...  If she wasn’t one of my favorite performers in the world, I’d probably be suing the panties off her.
Tumblr media
Dear dawsongfg again,
Mod Edgeworth: I personally don’t mind, but I think Mod Justice was kinda like
Tumblr media
Co-Mod: I’m guessing you’re referring to letters that are intentionally rude.  So long as you’re not purposefully insulting a specific person or a specific group of people, you can be as much of a troll as you want.  The good kind, that is.
Mod Justice: Yeah, we really need to get some more clarification regarding “Troll Posts” here. Don’t worry, they should be up soon enough after this post makes it out of the queue.
Tumblr media
Dear Anonymous,
Mod Edgeworth: HOLD IT! (turns on this song) Proceed.

Dear dawsongfg again (again),
Mod Edgeworth: Yes. In fact, I have the full set of Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth mangas, including the two casebooks.
Co-Mod: I haven’t, actually.  I might have to do that sometime soon just so I can protect my Nerdiest Ace Attorney Nerd title (which I just made up).

Tumblr media
Dear rogertheegg,
Mod Edgeworth:
Tumblr media
Not posted yet. I’ve seen it when scrolling down the list of letters. You submitted this on April 16th and we are still on April 12th. It doesn’t break any rules, so you’re good. However, there are letters I’m now getting to that did break the rules... the no spamming letters rule. One did confess to it and apologized for it, while the other has since not made any spam letters. Not to mention April 12th was the day I first announced my arrival, so there will be a ton of letters for the first few days until we get to yours.
Unless you’ve sent 11 letters on the same day or 21 of the same letter to 21 different characters, no deletion of your letters are going to happen.

Dear dawsongfg,
Mod Edgeworth: Where did I say there was anything wrong with it. I personally find Phoenix’s disaster sense of fashion cute.
Tumblr media
Do you have a problem with it?
Co-Mod: Sorry, you’re too late.  “Qwertrude” is canon, at least until we start answering letters to characters from the Chronicles games.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dear dawsongfg and a1tam0nt,
Mod Edgeworth: Is that why you keep using childish insults like “poopyface”? You do realize that we are adults that don’t give two shits if you curse, right? You can ask the mods, we’ve had conversations far worse. At worst, we’d likely put a warning, but that’s only if it goes past the Ace Attorney rating, which is rated T.
As for the DGS2 letters, they actually should be accepted now, since they won’t be answered in another three months. I did say in my previous post that letters for DGS are the only letters you’re allowed to have spoilers. I’ll likely zoom over them the moment I see a DGS character.
Co-Mod: If all goes well, letters to characters from both of the Chronicles games will be allowed sometime in the middle of September.  We’ll just have to see.  In the meantime, please at least use proper English when you insult us.

Mod Edgeworth: Apparently, you do, dumbass. Also, FYI, Co-Mod knows my original account and knows I don’t go by Anonymous when writing my letters. I also don’t use “stupid” when insulting others for low intelligence. I’m from Texas, so I use a bit more colorful language sparingly.

Dear Anonymous,
Mod Edgeworth: It changes as we add them, but I’d say over 50.
Co-Mod: Yep, thank God we finally have some buffer!  Oh, and thanks to the Mod team as well.
Tumblr media
Dear Anon,
Mod Justice:
Tumblr media
HOKUTO HYAKURETSU KEEEEEEN!!!!!!!!
Tumblr media
WAAAATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATA, AAATAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tumblr media
That... *gasp* took a lot... *gasp* of... *gasp* energy... *gasp* out of me... *gasp* Come on, Mod Justice, breathe...
Tumblr media
They’re on the ground, Co-Mod. Would you please finish them off for me while I relax on the couch?
Co-Mod:
Gotcha covered.
Tumblr media
Thought we were joking, didn’t you?
Tumblr media
Dear Anonymous,
Mod Edgeworth: I’ve played it once. My parents and siblings were the ones that often played it. I did play Runescape.
Co-Mod: I didn’t get into Minecraft back then, I actually rebought the game recently, and I’m mostly enjoying it.  I still can’t seem to make in any decent progress in Survival mode, but I do love the feeling of coming back to my blocky home after a long day of exploring, mining, and fighting for my life.  It’s a very unique experience.

(Referenced Letters)
Dear Inferno,
Mod Edgeworth: No, I wrote those letters. What you are seeing is a difference in mods and how we answer letters. I mentioned this to 35apollo in the comment section. That’s why I placed that tag on there. It had nothing to do with following or not following rules. It’s just me placing my reason for why I answered it like that, despite all other letters responding differently.
So yes, different mods have different ways and styles of answering letters. Of course, if you wish for a specific mod to answer a letter, that’s what the mod tags are there for.

Dear Starry,
Co-Mod: Sorry for almost missing this letter, first and foremost.
As an introvert, I don’t show much personality most of the time, but I do see myself in the quirks of the Ace Attorney cast every now and then.  Sometimes I just want a break from what I’m dealing with, like Phoenix...
Tumblr media
...sometimes I get overemotional when things don’t go my way, like Larry...
Tumblr media
...sometimes I get too excited when they do go my way, like Pearly...
Tumblr media
...and sometimes I struggle not to explode in a fiery inferno that’s visible from space, like...well, like a lot of characters.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But the character I relate most to, as I’ve mentioned several times before, is good old Ms. Cykes.
Tumblr media
She’s got skill and ambition, but still struggles in her self-confidence every now and then, and right now, that describes me perfectly.  (I hope the first part does, at least.)
Tumblr media
Dear Anonymous,
Co-Mod: Thanks, I guess.  *blows a noisemaker half-heartedly*
Tumblr media
(Previous Letter)
Dear Anonymous,
Co-Mod: I might be willing to share that ship, oddly enough, except for the fact that I've already played through most of the Professor Layton series, so...yeah.  It’s probably not gonna work.
(I still need to finish it, don’t I?)
Tumblr media
Dear Starry again,
Co-Mod: I...honestly can’t say I know.  If things go my way, I’ll be doing something I love (or at least enjoy), like drawing/animating for a TV show or video game, writing music, or possibly even working on a game development team.  If Ace Attorney (and life) have taught me anything, though, it’s that no one can predict the future, so maybe I’ll be doing something completely different.
Tumblr media
As far as TV shows go (I’m allowed to answer both, right?), most of my favorites were the classic ones, like Green Acres, The Andy Griffith Show, and just about any Looney Tunes cartoon.  I also enjoyed a lot of Nickelodeon’s shows, like Hey Arnold!, Doug, and that one about the sponge who lives in a pineapple under the sea.  What was his name again...?
Mod Paups: Mmm for TV shows I’d say Dragon Ball is what I mainly watched, and maybe Pokemon, but that’s about it. I’m not certain where I see myself in 10 years, hopefully it’s good!
Tumblr media
Dear Starry again (again),
Co-Mod: I’m guessing you mean this one.  Thanks for waiting to see if it showed up.  For anyone else who’s wondering if your letter fell victim to Tumblr's glitchery or not, letters now take roughly 3 weeks to get answered, so feel free to resubmit it if you don’t see it after that long.
Tumblr media
Dear skibot99,
Co-Mod: Technically, DGS2 letters are still off limits, but I sometimes dance around that rule if the letter is only about DGS2, and not addressed to a character from that game.  Let’s just say that letters like that may or may not get answered, so only send them if you’re feeling lucky.
Tumblr media
Dear springtime562,
Co-Mod: My mistake!
Tumblr media
The other Mods are starting school, so I’ve mostly been on my own, and I’m balancing this blog with two part-time jobs, so...you (collectively) can probably expect a few more errors in the near future.
Tumblr media
Dear d0midink,
Co-Mod: Let me just start by saying that if this isn’t one of the nicest compliments we’ve received (and we’ve received quite a few), it’s definitely a contender.
Tumblr media
I’m just happy we’re still able to do it with everything else we’re going through (not to mention everything the world’s been through lately), so thanks a million for your support!
Tumblr media
Dear Anonymous,
Co-Mod: None in particular, but I do sort of miss answering letters to the Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney cast.  They have their own unique sort of charm.
Mod Paups: Well in my case I looove love answering letters addressed to any of the antagonists, specially Damon Gant. He has to be my favorite character to write as, he’s just so fun!
Tumblr media
Dear rogertheegg,
Co-Mod: I’m guessing what they’re referring to is the “culprit feels remorse in the end” concept in each case.  I definitely prefer Marlon’s breakdown over Acro’s, mostly because Marlon put up more of a fight, plus he showed a lot more emotion.  We also didn’t have to cycle through a bunch of profiles and evidence just to remind a clown about a magician’s three symbols, so there’s that, too.
Mod Paups: Honestly? I don’t feel as if Turnabout Reclaimed succeeded or was better? And if I had to choose, I prefer Big Top over Reclaimed. I guess it’s just a matter of tastes.
Tumblr media
Dear kxhyuns,
Co-Mod: I repeat myself, but...thanks a million!
Tumblr media
It’s been an honor to take what Ace Admin and the Mod created and keep it going for so long.  I’m just glad we’re still gaining followers and make the characters sound like themselves.
Here’s the letter you mentioned, by the way.  Pretty trollish, if you ask me.
Tumblr media
Dear TGSPLS,
Co-Mod: Me too, pal, me too.  Looks like it’s finally time to accept this certificate of death for the Ace Attorney series.
Tumblr media
(I could be wrong, of course.)
But hey, at least the fandom’s still as alive and well as ever, as evidenced by this very blog!
Tumblr media
Never let the flame die out, folks.
Tumblr media
Dear mungeondaster,
Co-Mod: Are you kidding me?  My answer to both ideas is YES!!!  I’d like to see a shopping scene and I’d LOVE an open world Ace Attorney game!  Heck, I’d be fine with an anime retelling of AJ, DD, and/or SoJ, an Ace Attorney-themed chess game, Lisa Basil Teaches Typing...  JUST GIVE US SOMETHING, CAPCOM!!!
Tumblr media
*huff, huff, huff*
While we’re on the subject, I once had a dream where I was playing a point-and-click adventure game similar to King’s Quest VII, with Maya as a playable character.  I’d pay a huge sum for that if it became a reality.

Dear rogertheegg,
Tumblr media
I honestly hadn’t thought of it that way, but perhaps there were parts of that case that subconsciously reminded me of the time when I was in the defendant’s chair, believing that I had killed my father.  My main motivation for pressing Ms. Cykes was to see if any new truths could be unearthed, but perhaps my own experience was a part of that motivation as well.
Tumblr media
Thank heavens for people like Wright who know an opportunity when they see one.
