Fossil TINKATINK, Fossil TINKATUFF & PTENKATON (Fairy/Rock)

And here are the next fossil forms, this time is the TINKATON line, who now uses the many fossils from the ravine to create digging tools.

Their hands and feet are covered in dirt from digging so much in search of more bones, and with time this dirt has become a protective layer, like boots and gloves.

TINKATINK uses the skull of an Austriadactylus and a fossilized egg as a shovel and pail, the sand around its feet resembles flip-flops

TINKATUFF uses the skull and bones of a Pteranodon Sternbergi as a pickaxe and the dome of a Pachysephalosaurus as a helmet

PTENKATON has made a Jackhammer out of several bones, with the skull resembling that of a Tropeognatus, and the dome of a Stygimoloch as a helmet

They have an ability called "Earth Mover" that boost the power of ground type moves, so, despite being rock types they have acces to all the "bone" and "drill" moves

when I was in high school, I wanted to make a fakemon region based on Canada. I still kinda do, but not nearly to the extent of interest I did then. Anyway, I have drawn and designed some fakemon that I am pretty proud of and thought it would be neat to share some of em

Geodot, Ohkoden, Minerodon > this pseudo-legendary line is based on the idea of a dragon with a den and hoard of gold, except the dragon is both! It starts as a smol geode, similar in appearance to Roggenrola. > ohko stone (aka dragonstone) is a rock that has a unique texture from water erosion. Erosion and refinement plays a role in this Pokemon's evolution, as it reveals the treasure hiding within. > the wing talons (?) gave me some trouble. I knew I wanted rocky, cavernous wings, but they originally looked very disconnected. Then I figured that, instead of having the talons on some arms from the serpentine body, I'd put them on the ends of the wings, giving this dragon similar anatomy to that of a wyvern. That choice really made the wings look cohesive. > I was originally going to have it be different colours rather than just gold, one for each stat (based on what its nature boosts). The forms would be called Amethyst Form, Ruby Form, Gold Form, etc. The thing about this was that I thought gold was the most relevant, since it is a dragon and gold is the goal in alchemy and all that fun stuff.

Migopu > Ice/Flying bc it lives in cold climates. > ptarmigan + lagopus makes its name. This is a mix of ptarmigans and the snowshoe hare, with ideas of snowshoes and skiing. The genus name Lagopus comes from hare+feet, based on how fluffy ptarmigans' feet are. That inspired me to give it the feet of a snowshoe hare, which are big enough to spread the hare's weight so that it does not sink in snow. > the colours are meant to reference rock ptarmigans, which have a bright bit of red on their faces in winter plumage. These Pokemon are excellent at walking on and sliding across the surface of deep snow.

Arboreelis > an eel that flies in the night skies of the region! it is meant to look like the colours of an aurora. There are two theories to how these Pokemon work: either they are drawn to the electricity that creates auroras, or they use their electrical powers to form auroras. > name comes from aurora borealis and eel. Ice/Electric because auroras are electrical phenomena in polar locations

Glubmerge, Glubmarine > fish + compass + sun dial + toy boat + submarine. kinda a random mix, but I think it's really cute. Water navigation fish! > Water type. glub + submerge, glub + submarine

Inkuaill > ink + inkwell + quill + quail > quills come from birds. this bird evokes paper, ink drops, inkwells, and the inking pens > I know I know I KNOW I already have a game bird but. they're completely different concepts ok > Normal/Poison because ink?? and because while it can fly, game birds are more known for being on the ground and running.

Frigeret, Boreabbit, Harfrost > HOARFROST! I mean mr rime has rime in its name which is the same thing just formed differently but,,, IDC we need some hoarfrost rep > what is winter throughout life? As a wee baby, it's a threat. The ears are meant to be like muffs or mittens, working to protect the blue-nosed baby. Frigeret (Normal) does not yet have mastery over ice. Even when awake, this little guy looks like it is permanently asleep, as if frozen. Frigid + leveret. (Note: hares are born with their eyes open. Frigeret can open its eyes tho?? idk i wanted it to look more frozen and cold, so the closed eyes thing is closer to rabbits here) > as a child, winter is the season of fun! Snowmen, snowballs, snowforts, sledding, skiing! When I was a kid, winter was my favourite season. The fun in this form is also based on Jack Frost, a sprite-like figure meant to explain the snow and cold in winter. This is what makes Boreabbit an Ice/Fairy type. Boreas + boreal + rabbit > getting older (even just as an adult), winter becomes more of an inconvenience. From driving to the cold to the later sun, the fondness of winter fades even before the aching bones from changing weather. Grouchy, Harfrost is meant to be closer to the idea of Old Man Winter. Still Ice/Fairy. hoarfrost + hare (ALSO the 'hoar' in hoarfrost means showing signs of aging!)

Nimbark, Halestial, Cirruscruff > cloud dogs? CLOUD DOG EVOLUTION LINE > Nimbark (Normal) is a lil spaniel with the big ears! These ears are so fluffy, they evoke clouds! One must be very careful when grooming because the ears are delicate but tangle easily. > Halestial (Normal/Flying) is a papillon dog! The big rounding ears are colourful, based on sun halos, also called sun dogs! These are rainbow circles around the sun, indicating a very cold day. > Cirruscruff (Normal/Flying) is a Newfoundland dog! Super big fluffy boy. It's super reliable and loyal to its trainer. These clouds are darker bc every image I see of a Newfie has dark fur > these bred dogs also represent the two main colonizing forces in Canada! Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are British bred dogs, and Papillons are French bred dogs. Newfies are Canadian dog breeds. > the idea of a fluffy, loyal, guardian angel cloud dog is based on my own dog, Merlin. He is a Morkie Poo, which doesn't really relate to this, BUT he is whitish and fluffy and soft and makes me think of clouds and I love everything about him and if I have a guardian angel dog it's this boi

So I got these ideas from a random generator, the type being rock poison the animal being starfish so, presenting Starbu!

Now Starbu probably to some degree is convergent evolution/regional variant as I'm running with the theory the staryu line are actually aliens similar to Deoxy so they're just a different form of this rock crystal that creates a physical form, now Starbu is mostly it's gem and is rock type because of that and lives outside of water likely on rocks soaking up the sunlight to fuel its gem. Its based off baby starfish and those fat chunky limb starfish and name is obviously star and bu like babu for baby or like baby babbling cause its just a baby star.

However it's body around the gem is probably flesh and unfortunately very yummy and they suffer from heavy predation and thus can evolve into what I like to call, the horrors.

Gangly limbed little freak, for this I wanted to make them seem as unsettling as possible, I'm response to predation they have reduced the thickness of their limbs though using the readjusted mass they have more legs now with poisonous tendrils so that anything that tries to eat them will be poisoned for attempting to eat such unsatisfying thin limbs. He should actually have 10 legs like how it doubles in the Starmie Staryu line I just was dumb and couldn't fit it in but he is the horrors a little freak comes walking at you aggressively. A rock poison type starfish, I'm thinking Starthru like star through with your shit.

BUT WAIT THERES MORE. Starbu has an alternative evolution!

What's this a rock fighting alternative evo? Hell yea let's go, based off I think lion starfish the big boys. The concept for this is basically you have a Starbu and defeat a load of other Starbu essentially cannibalising them to make this beefy brawler whos much bigger due to well eating other Starbu ect . He's meant to have like rock cracks in his body and the weird tendrils on his upper limbs are crystal rock formations for extra punch like knuckle dusters, as you can probably tell I wasn't sure how to show they were fighting type so I was like slap on knee pads give em knuckle dusters and I'm pretty sure the bands on his 'arms' are like sweat bands I honestly forgot, I think the lines as well around his 'hands' were to meant to be glove bits again can't remember drew these a while ago. I think for funny he might be Starthrew like threw the first punch, threw you through a wall, just because it sounds like Starthru.

Reefeon (Water/Rock)

On rare occasion, an Eevee can be affected by more than one environmental factor, and reacts to grow into a new, rare evolution. Reefeon, Water/Rock Eeveelutions, inhabit warm, shallow, tropical waters, predominantly in the pristine southern seas alongside colonies of Corsola. Thriving on a diet enriched with minerals from ocean rocks and sand, Reefeon develop rocky, coral-like growths on their bodies, with the unique coral formations on each individual reflecting their distinct diet and health status. Their coral reefs often become places of refuge for smaller fish Pokémon, who take shelter in the coral and are shielded from larger predators. As long as the individual is in good health, broken coral will be regenerated within days and additional coral can be grown quickly in emergencies, such as during battles. Pieces of broken coral are valuable to collectors and Trainers alike, and can be presented to domesticated Eevee in the hope of inducing evolution into this Water/Rock type. Featuring a lengthy and robust tail, Reefeon wield formidable, long-range attacks against their opponents. They leverage the prehensile appendage to latch onto substantial seaweed and rock formations, anchoring themselves securely during periods of rest.

Redrawing my eeveelutions part 9: Obsideon! The final one!

After working on them for years, I finally have settled on the final starter evos for my Okeno dex! Yipee! I decided to try making full design sheets for them. It's such a fun exercise to really hone in on the details and making sure the design works from different perspectives. Getting the details to be all "on-model" throughout them is also very rewarding, I hope I did a good enough job! Batornado is Grass/Dark the Salamander is currently unnamed, and it is Fire/Poison Vinagruff is Water/Rock You'll be able to see more of them, dex entries, movepools and such on pokengine! Introducing a new regional variant and regional evolution to Qamor, Sandygast and Pallostone! These Rock/Ghost type Pokémon spend most of their time around construction sites or on the sides of roads, while Pallostone are often found in abandoned buildings or junkyards

ASTRALOID (Solrock/Lunatone+Minior fusion) It comes in 2 types: Solar ASTRALOID and Lunar ASTRALOID Each has 2 forms: Asteroid form (Rock/Psychic) and Celestial form (Flying/Psychic) They are the same pokemon with just very little differences in the moves they learn by leveling up (Ex: At the same level Solar ASTRALOID learns Morning Sun and Lunar ASTRALOID learns Moonlight) Ability: Celestial Body - When its HP drops to a half or below it will change its form and type, its SPD rises and DEF decreases

When using Astraloidite: Mega ASTRALOID (Flying/Psychic) Both Solar ASTRALOID and Lunar ASTRALOID share the same Mega Evolution, similar to how FLAPPLE and APPLETUN share the same Gigantamax Ability: Gravitational Pull - Using thei strong gravitational pull they attracts all rock-type moves to themselves and keeps them floating around their bodies in a small orbit, using them as a floating shield, DEF rises.

Petreon (Rock/Flying)

#??? - On rare occasion, an Eevee can be affected by more than one environmental factor, and reacts to grow into a new, rare evolution. Wild Rock/Flying Eeveelutions, named Petreon, often live in small groups in the caves along cliff sides. Exposure to nesting bird Pokemon in the rocky cliffs is believed to cause the evolution into Petreon, though Trainers can encourage their Eevee to evolve into this Rock/Flying type by giving them a Sharp Beak and enriching their diet with heavy minerals. These nocturnal Pokemon are most active at night, where they descend into nearby forests to hunt; occasionally they will wander into towns and cities, taking roost atop tall buildings. If a building has been claimed by one of these Eeveelutions, it can be very hard to remove; they take great pride over their territory, and will protect it faithfully from trespassers. If Petreon are stumbled upon during the day, they will stay rigidly still, pretending to be a statue until the intruder’s back is turned. A diet supplemented with rocks and minerals builds up and supports their durable, stone-like exterior, which easily protects them from most physical attacks. Damage to a Petreon’s rock-like hide is healed over time; however, major injuries will leave a scar. These Pokemon wield their cracks as a badge of honor, a symbol of an intense conflict survived.
