Billy headcanon: Whenever it's Steve's shift at the video store, Billy goes in and puts all the videos in the wrong sections so that Steve has to fix them (and thus interact with the troublemaking teen who keeps ruining Steve's sorting system)!

Hear me out: from the moment he meets Steve Harrington, Billy's number one goal is to be as annoying as humanly possible just to get a rise out of him. It's like a hobby, and after a few months Steve has honestly just accepted his fate.

Of course, Billy has to clear his tyranny with Robin beforehand. He promises her that he's only doing this to mess with Steve and that he won't do anything to fuck with her job or create more work for her. Honestly, she thinks they're cute as hell together, so she obviously gives the okay and even helps Billy wreak some havoc by conveniently going on break or slipping into the back to count inventory the minute Billy walks in so that he gets Steve all to himself.

It gets to the point that Billy walks in and Steve looks at Robin all, "I guess you'll be leaving now?" and she just bounces off because, yeah, obviously, have fun with your boyfriend, she'll be back later. And Steve tries SO HARD to be annoyed because, "You know, this is my actual job, Billy. I have real work to do."

At which point Billy looks around at the otherwise empty store while slowly and deliberately moving an entire stack of tapes three shelves to the left. And Steve can't even be mad at that?? Like it's harmless, and Billy is having so much fun, and it does make Steve's shift go by faster, so okay, fine. He’ll put up with Billy’s antics.

(And when it becomes obvious that those two need a minute alone together, Robin pops back out to inform that Keith has either left for the night or that she's successfully distracted them and they've got the break room to themselves. "Do your worst," she tells them, and then immediately follows up with, "I didn't mean that. Keep it tame." and Billy is all, "You heard the lady," while dragging Steve into the back and yeah okay I might love this whole little trio a bit too much but listen THEY'RE CUTE.)
