Per quanto riguarda invece il numero di premi assegnato dalle Associazioni dei critici americani spicca il dominio di #EverythingEverywhereAllAtOnce che ha conquistato il maggior numero di riconoscimenti per il miglior film e la miglior regia (41), miglior attrice (36), supporter maschile (54), miglior montaggio (27). #Glispiritidellisola ha ottenuto il maggior numero di premi per la sceneggiatura originale (29) (mentre EEAAO 28), miglior attore (36), miglior attrice non protagonista (20). Mentre il film RRR (che come sappiamo non è stato scelto dall'India per la gara internazionale) ne ha vinti 21 contro i 6 di All Quiet on the Western Front e i 16 del sudcoreano Decision to Leave che però non ha conquistato la candidatura. Road to the Oscars: A Journey Completed

Someone should write a movie about me and my journey on the Road to the Oscars, because it was a dramatic roller coaster of emotions, hard work, and determination. Out of the 15 short films nominated, I saw 15. Out of the 37 feature films nominated that aren't animated, I saw 36 of them. Sadly, I could not find The Missing Picture anywhere, so I failed at reaching my goal. Unlike (SPOILER ALERT) the Hobbits, Sandra Bullock, and Mark Wahlberg, I am a complete failure.

But if you watch Oscar winning Italian film The Great Beauty, you'll see that it's the journey that matters, not the trophy at the end. And on this glorious journey I encountered a talking British dragon, a science oven, Louis C.K. twice, the nothingness of outer space, midget tossing, Jared Leto, royal chickens, a Belgian bluegrass band, boxing glove art, and 35 dollars.

The Oscars are important and meaningful, so was my journey. 

In the race for the #Best, the name of #WillSmith for King Richard immediately emerged from the first predictions and then confirmed itself as the leader with the key awards: from the Critics Choice Award to the BAFTA, from the Golden Globe to the SAG Award. La gara di quest'anno per il #Migliorfilm è diventata a senso unico con la conferma dei Producers Guild Awards, laddove #EverythingEverywhereAllAtOnce, che intanto aveva conquistato numerosissimi Film Critics Awards, ha vinto la partita più importante prima degli Oscar, dato che negli ultimi 10 anni 8 volte il vincitore del premio del sindacato dei produttori (PGA) ha conquistato anche l’ambita statuetta. Rispetto alle primissime previsioni del mese di aprile, frutto di speranze e aspettative da parte degli addetti del settore, e successivamente rispetto a quelle di ottobre redatte dopo i principali festival che aprono la Stagione dei Premi, a cambiare è stata la corsa di due film inizialmente dati come principali frontrunner: The Fabelmans e Women Talking (rispettivamente 1° e 2° posto per il People’s Choice Award al Toronto International Film Festival. Parallelamente è iniziato il percorso di Everything Everywhere All At Once che dopo aver vinto 7 HCA Midseason Awards, ha conquistato di volta in volta un numero sempre più corposo di premi assegnati dai critici americani, innescando una gara a tre con altri 2 titoli pluripremiati come Gli Spiriti dell’isola e TAR. Poi è stata la volta del National Board of Review che ha aperto la strada al campione di incassi Top Gun: Maverick, supportando un titolo che metteva d'accordo critica e pubblico.
