Your ikevamp OC is soooo cute! She looks super smol next to Leonardo. Did you give them a height difference? 👀
Thank youuu!!!
Yesshh, i made her an angry gremlin 😆 Height difference is one of my favourite tropes!
My oc’s height is based on this one conversation i had with my cousin, where we realized Leonardo is basically the height of my bedroom door, and we barely reached where his shoulder would theoretically be 😂

*slides in... like a very sneaky cat during zoomies who has slipped on a newly polished lacquered hardwood floor*
I was wondering... Do you perhaps have any tips for people with the basic knowledge of anatomy trying to learn how to draw poses? Perhaps some resources to look into?
I feel like I'm asking for a lot, so thank you in advance for your consideration 🙏
Lorei!! Hi hi!
That beginning of the ask reminded me of my little gremlin of a cat 😂 He’d nyooooom on freshly cleaned ceramic tile floor to chase the floor wiper and slipped.
Thank you for asking, and it’s not too much to ask so don’t worry! In fact i’m honored that you asked me for tips! I’m still learning myself, so this is kind of just how i do things. I’ll divide this question up into 2 categories: for specific illustrations and for practice.
✨For practice✨
Look up references, break the poses down to the most basic shapes —> draw those shapes out (helps with observation skills + building your own knowledge library of poses)
More anatomy practices, focusing on how major joints work (ex: neck, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, etc…) —> it helps with understanding how the muscles flex, relax, or turn in different poses
Resources:
Proko (very technical, great for anatomy practices)
Taco1704 on Instagram - they also have a book that compiles and categorizes their posts if that’s what you prefer (simple break downs of poses - in Korean but commenters translate to English)
✨For illustrations✨
Reference is always your friend - look up a reference you need (you can also mash up different references to get a pose you want) and break them down into shapes
I like to take videos of myself posing what i want to draw and use it as reference (super awkward, but sometimes you just can’t find a specific reference)
These are just some things that i personally do when it comes to poses. My anatomy and posing skills are still developing (there’s always room to improve 😂) so if anyone have something else to add, feel free to chime in!
Patient is definitely key, and be gentle with yourself. We’re always our toughest critics, but these skills take time to build up along with lots of failures, so go at your own pace, and most importantly, HAVE FUN 💖💖
I hope this was helpful! Thank you for the ask and i hope you have a good day!

Rina!! How are you doing? I've seen you post about life getting busy, so... ^^" Call me curious and happy to see you post!
Loreiiii *wipes a tear* thank you for the ask :,D
I’m doing ok, just super duper busy (and slightly overwhelmed lol). Uni classes started, and i just started my new job as a lab prep so i have to learn and memorize a lot, but i’m having fun learning and doing new things so i suppose it is a good stress!
I unfortunately am the type of person to go off grid as soon as i feel overwhelmed since it’s one less thing i need to worry about 😂 But hopefully i can keep working on Ikeseries art because i have so many ideas i want to share (and also work on my request box too).
How are you, and how is everyone doing lately :3

Hello!
Ikemen x flowers is such a lovely idea. I imagine no matter what people pick, it's going to look amazing. How about...
Mitsunari with either hydrangeas, lilacs, or wild lavender?
or...
Shingen with either Chocolate Cosmos, burgundy calla lily, or red amaranth.
hi hi~!!
sorry if i sound too aggressive but YES MITSUNARI WITH LILACS OR LAVENDERS, ESPECIALLY LAVENDER. He has such a calming presence for me, and i’ve just cling to that one aspect of his character and associate him with lavenders 😂
I’m not very familiar with calla lily and amaranth but i had to search them up and also take a peek at their symbolism… the calla lily (from little research i did) apparently can symbolise beauty (from greek myths), devotion (as they can be seen in wedding bouquets), sexuality (romans), and fertility (egyptians). I do see some that def associate with Shingen. Of course take everything i said here with a grain of salt since this is like 5 minute of googling 😂 I do know that amaranth tends to last for a very long time and can symbolize immortality, which is almost ironic considering his route (gosh it’s been a while since i played it).
Honestly i’m starting to be open to the idea of 1 ikemen with multiple flowers 😂 it’ll just be more complex to plan out compositions but anything for good art for the boys am i right??

Sending you some flowers 🌷🏵️ for the ask game!
Hello! Thank you for your ask and the flowers 🥺💖💖
🌷 favourite current hobbies or ones you would like to pick up if you could?
My favourite current hobby is probably watercolour painting (it has been for 5-6 years now surprisingly - it’s hard for me to stick with one hobby but this one has somehow stuck with me). Also playing Minecraft with my friends 😂 (I love building nice houses for my friends while they go do the exploring)
Another one i’m currently learning is gouache painting! I always have a hard time working with opaque paints like oil and acrylic (i hate acrylic 😂 it’s like painting with literal mud, and i envy people with skills to make gorgeous acrylic paintings). I thought that watercolour gouache, having the ability to be layered and watered down like watercolour and the opaqueness of acrylics, would help me get better at using opaque paints! Also i’ve seen gorgeous illustrations with gouache and i adore its texture and flexibility, so i’d like to give it a try!
🏵️ what flower symbolizes you? if none come to mind, what’s your birth flower and do you identify with its meaning?
My birth flower is larkspur and waterlilies.
Apparently, larkspur represents an open heart (specific colour symbolism: pink - fickleness, white - happy-go-lucky nature, purple - first love/ sweet disposition). I think i most relate to the pink flower meaning haha. I’m a very specific person in a lot of aspect, which can comes off as fickle to other people. Not much of a happy-go-lucky person since i’m an overthinking anxious mess most of the time 😂
Waterlilies represent birth and resurrection. Which i don’t think i can relate to much right now, but maybe one day, when i’m older, i can look back and go “Damn Rina, you really made a come back despite so-and-so setbacks. You’re like a waterlily” or something? I’m not sure haha

Ikemen Vampire Shakespeare + 🥀
YESSSSS.
I feel like with his aesthetics, a really deep red rose mixed with withered ones would make for such a cool atmospheric piece U_U The romance and drama of it all

Oh, oh, oh! Okay!! *may the rambling begin* (Please, ignore it if you so please, I just saw an opportunity and ran with it -- no hard feelings if you save yourself from my rambling, haha.)
Hmm... It's not much flower symbolism, but I personally associate Masamune with cornflowers ^^" Partially because they match his colour scheme, but also because they're... a bit rough yet still beautiful? They're wild, growing in the wheat fields, unbothered by wind and sun alike... And so, they add so much colour to what otherwise would be bleak, while also having a hidden side -- below that blue, there lies a possibility of them turning pink. (Quite fitting, considering Masamune's hidden softer side?; They're lovely pH markers.)
Ieyasu... He reminds me of marsh marigolds. The yellow matches, but again, that's not quite it -- I've went to pick them quite often when I was little, and it often was quite a trip. That "marsh" bit isn't an exaggeration, they were always surrounded by puddles upon puddles, if not a river itself... So it wasn't exactly easy to get anywhere near them.
I have some for Chev... White lilac and lilly of the valley... Maybe blooming elderberry too... But those all are mostly there because of my OC.
When I think of Clavis, it's... foxgloves. I mean, they're kind of bizarre, aren't they? They're persistent. They will plant themselves wherever... And they can be both an enemy and a friend -- a medicine or poison, depending on the dosage.
Ay, I better stop now ^^" It's really showing that I'm mostly familiar with wild flowers, eh. Oh well ^^"
I hope you're having a lovely day!
Loreiii!! I don’t mind the rambling~ i love reading your inputs, and this has been a goldmine of ideas! I hope you also don’t mind the rambling that’s going to follow haha
Masamune with cornflower is *chef’s kiss* I personally also associate cornflower with him, altho mine is purely for aesthetics reasons 😂 The blue of the cornflower just matches his blues so well o(—( I didn’t know that they can be use as pH markers! Learnt smt new today~
The symbolism of the marsh marigold for Ieyasu sounds perfect i think… The hassle to get through the water to get to the flowers is kinda like how we gotta see through his prickly side to get to his softer sides haha
With Chev, we kinda geeked out about lilly of the valley before. I also strongly associate him with easter lilies (partly because of their colour). They’re so pretty and elegant (like Chev 😂) and they make their presence known in the room before you see them because of their strong fragrance.
Clavis with foxgloves is GENIUS!! I can’t believe i missed this. They’re sooo pretty, and i always love seeing them on my hikes! The associations you’ve drawn there is *chef’s kiss*
Sorry about the long reply, i hope you have a good day too~!

I'm so so so happy I found your blog. I might have shared some of your stuff over on discord, because it's just that awesome. (I mean. WATERCOLOURS. Come on, WATERCOLOURS!)
+Reading about your process was fascinating, and also... It was very grounding in a way, and made it so that I could reevaluate the expectations I set for my own process.
Aancjjdksjss ahhhh 😭😭😭💖💖 thank you so much anon!! I’m really happy i’m able to contribute something to the fandom that can make people smile :,D
I’m glad someone finds my weird process post interesting and helpful! I think social media makes the process of making something (whether it’s music, writings, choreography, illustrations, etc…) seems so perfect and seemless and automatic. It takes some of the messiness, hardwork, and efforts everyone puts into creating something, and can make us compare our process to something that’s been edited and perfected to some degree. But i believe that the process is just as, if not, more important than the final work! And in the end, everyone is just trying their best to improve and enjoy their work.
Ehe, sorry about the ramble :,D Again, thank you so much for your kind words anon, and have a great day 🥺💖💖

How many years have you been drawing? Btw your drawings are very cute 💖
Hello anon! Thank you for your ask and your compliment 🥺💖💖 I’m glad you enjoy my art :3
To answer your question, i’ve been drawing since forever, but i started to take it seriously and worked towards improving around 7 years ago i believe! I started watercolour around a year afterwards and it’s been my main medium of choice since.
