#koyasplace was in it's last legs on the day last year. The last hurrah if I may say so. Sufficient and Fair Funding wasn't coming, my health wasn't improving fast enough, My wife's health was worsening. What a hole I dug ourselves into. My beleaguered brain went from mourning our son, Marcus in one moment will switch its channels. That same brain will soon have me focusing on the emotional, motivational and last but the least financial failure I brought to our home. Look at this bounty, I guess I can take pride in introducing Gamatan to North Texas Foodies. I can take solace in the fact that I was able to single handedly share Kapampangan cuisine with our Kabayans, the same Kabayans that longed for a proper sit-down restaurant that served true Filipino Food. To this day I still get multiple calls and emails daily, when are we re-opening. But there is no joy in what-ifs. No silver lining on a failure. There are no " better luck next time" in real life. So please forgive this self-serving post.
