it has been __ days since my last lemm shitpost

i dont think lemm knows ghost is a descendant of gods. if they were to defeat the radiance and somehow survive they’re selling that trophy as soon as they get it and freak the shit out of some old recluse who probably never even noticed the infection was gone

i think they could have some good conversations :)

yeah bringing this back

it'll probably never be explained how or why, but i'd LOVE to know how lemm didn't get infected.

there are 0 obvious signs to it either -- there's the implications he's not from Hallownest & therefore less exposed to the whole thing, but seeing the collection of things he's accrued, it's likely he's at least been there for a good while.

alongside this, there's no good reason i can think of that he doesn't succumb to the Infection. other characters have a strength of mind because they're warriors: e.g. the mantis tribe or ogrim.

i mean, he may be comparable to other npcs like the mask maker or eternal emilitia.

it seems that having a strong dedication founded within yourself is enough to stave off the Infection somehow -- take the mask maker for example. they don't particularly need to dream when theyve got their life's work cut out for them & a passion. similar with the nailsmith, though he may also be part of a warrior (after all what's a smith without knowing how to use his product) but i think his determination to make nails over submitting to a Dream to make a nail is important.

then, how does this relate to lemm? maybe he's just so dedicated to this history of his & doesn't need to Dream up any foregone conclusions -- he just has the history as is & therefore rolls with it. he simply has a dedication to relic seeking or whatever.

tl;dr: lemm wasn't infected during the events of hollow knight because he's too much of a nerd.
