Decolonization / Indigenous Education Night with Salia Joseph - August 5th

After you’ve enjoyed your long weekend (remember to check the holiday schedule) we’ve got another AMAZING event coming up for you!

Who’s it for?

Anyone and everyone! There is no requirement to be a member, or exercise, or even be associated with Raincity to take part! Bring your friends, family, or anyone who’s interested and/or can benefit from this :)

How much is it?

Attendance is by donation! We’ve setup options to donate $10 / $20 or $50 via Zenplanner, or free & you can bring cash the day of :) 100% of proceeds from the event will be donated to Salia’s choice of non profit!

What is it?

7:00PM Take your seats & crack a bevvy

We’ll provide benches etc but if you’ve got a beach chair or blanket not the worst idea to bring one

BYODrinks - something to sip on during the seminar (optional, but always encouraged)

7:15PM - 8:15PM: Salia Presentation

Learn about Vancouver’s very recent history of colonialization, why land acknowledgements matter (and/or what they are) and so much more

8:15-8:45: Open conversation / Q&A

Bring up your questions for Salia & engage with your community in conversation about everything you just learned

8:45PM - Late: CrossFit Games highlights & Fun

We’ll bring back out the field games or whatever people want to get up to - and we’ll throw CrossFit Games highlights from the past 2 days (they start the wed prior) onto the big screens!
