5. What do you currently have checked out at the library?

I think the last couple of books I checked out were Red Dragon (probably like the 4th time I've done this for this book because I can't buy it right now), The Stand, and Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe.

17. Do you ever write in the margins of your books?

I'm afraid of ruining them so if I have to, I use sticky notes or pieces of paper to put in.

27. Most inspirational book you’ve read this year (fiction or non-fiction)?

I don't think I've read anything that was actually inspirational to be honest but I mean...Stephen King is basically my main inspiration for getting into writing in the first place so I'd say anything by him.

peppermint: what's your favorite holiday and why?

At the risk of ruining my reputation as a grinch, I'll have to say Christmas. I don't have much Christmas spirit earlier than the week of, and I often can't stand the music, but I love winter weather and the flavors and the lights and the warmth. It's really nice. (I also really like Halloween for its aesthetic, I have to say.)

green tea: where do you feel most at peace?

I really like being in familiar places, but when they're empty, like when I have to stay late at the office, or when I used to stay late at school and have to wait for my parents to come pick me up. It's calming to be somewhere familiar and also sort of alien, but in a soft and welcoming sense.

oolong: what are you hoping to be doing in ten years?

I hope I'm a teacher who's accomplishing something good -- II hope students learn from me even outside of conjugation. I hope I'm a good mentor. I hope I live somewhere small in a city with many plants and many cats. I hope I'll have tried many new things and kept all of my dearest friends.

2: I'm not in the habit of making New Year's resolutions; New Year as a holiday is something I have a lot of baggage with. This year's are pretty doable, though, and I hope to keep them. (They are also filthy and will not be duplicated here.)
