i don't go there at all but i keep getting tiktoks from jjk fans losing their goddamn minds over what ships are the most popular in japan and. like the western fandom culture really has changed so much, and i'm not sure everyone realizes exactly to what extent. like it's pure speculation, but based on the anime fandoms i was in during the early 2010s, if jjk had come out in 2013, i really doubt there would be much divide if any between the top ships in japan vs in the west. like the anti vs pro-ship divide is almost exclusively a western fandom phenomenon. everyone else is just having fun and minding their own business like they always have been. pipe down pls.
