if i had a nickel for every time a historical fantasy kdrama paired an ambitious assassin lady who is truly at peace being a nobody in the middle of nowhere (yet is unable to live a quiet village life due to her past & the pull of fate itself) with a seemingly laissez-faire man whose easygoing attitude is, at least in part, a façade to help cover the gaping hole in his chest that yearns to be someone, i would have 2 nickels. which isn't a lot but it's interesting that it happened twice.
