Being in a largely transitional phase in my life has me questioning my footing and doubting myself more often than I’d care to admit. But something that God has been teaching me lately is that courage is not something that we are born with or without. Courage is not something that just happens to us. The Bible tells us to “TAKE courage” and, more than that, to *let* ourselves take courage. • think about that for a moment • • Psalm 27:13-14 says, “I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” • • I am convicted that too often I let doubt and worry run my life, and especially my mind. Even though I don’t know what lies ahead, I’ve got to take courage and believe that it’s all good because it’s in God’s hands (Jeremiah 29:11). This will be my mantra as I step into a new year, a new decade, a new career, and a new phase of life. Do you have courage?
