sometimes you read a post and you just know whoever wrote it has a Very Tumblr™ idea of what punk is
#this definitely might come across very gatekeepy but that genre of post is very annoying to me#sorry but punk is not when you're have vaguely leftist ideals and wear ~cool & edgy~ clothes#punk is a fucking subculture based first and foremost on music#it's not a synonym for leftist#that isn't to say the politics aren't important (they are) but simply being a leftist doesn't automatically make you punk#punk
