February 24, 2021 - Rufous-bellied Mountain-Tanager or Rufous-bellied Saltator (Pseudosaltator rufiventris)

Found in parts of southern Bolivia and northern Argentina, these tanagers inhabit scrubland and open woodland in the Andes Mountains. Little is known about their diet, but they have been seen eating berries from mistletoe and other plants and usually forage alone or in pairs. They build cup-shaped nests from roots, dry leaves, plant fibers, and grasses in scrub, bushes, or trees. Females lay clutches of three eggs.
