Prabel Gurung Spring 2019 Collection

Prabel Gurung has created a neon themed collection. He has taken his inspiration from his native Nepal but including dead leaves and branches from trees on his clothing. This collection is an athletic collection and the models walked the runway in brisk steps. He has colour blocked the clothing this has given off the active/ sportswear theme. Gurung has used a neon colour scheme in this collection therefore this links with the 1980′s theme that I am looking into. As this is a relatively new collection you can see that the 1980s theme is being brought back into todays society. He has shown neon yellows, pinks, greens and blues in this collection and are sometimes paired together into to contrast the colours. 15.3.2020 -  This collection links to my storyline and trend very well because Prabel Gurung has paired his collection with blacks which has clearly broken the neon colours up even if he has interpreted more than one neon shade. Also, as he has used the neon colours shows the bright and playfulness that the colours symbolise which then goes on to further portray the importance of friendships and relationships are to you.

Prabel Gurung in my eye has an expert eye in designing beautiful individual pieces. His transition from light to darkness was hypnotising to watch. From sleek, sheer white dresses, to outlandish bold prints and finally to beautifully embellished black panelled dresses. This journey only enhanced the fact that i am indeed a fan of his designs.
