He’s not sure he’ll be able to fall asleep like this, but lying on his back as he is now, with his field of view entirely dominated by the dim room — all of its (his own) objects, all of its (his own) details — it’s grounding, the ability to reach over and grip Vasily’s hand. He isn’t the only one who is a stranger here.
