#original comic#art wise i really like this page#plot wise...i think this is a slightly more complicated exchange than i've attempted before. so i'm nervous about how it'll scan to you guy#potential incongruities with previous pages are on purpose. but it's not like ennie is lying here#ennie's biggest secret is that he sometimes forgets that the narratives he spins are narratives#anyway it took me a while to figure out which trope ennie is doing here because it seemed familiar#the closest i can describe it is that he's trying to get jack to tame the shrew#and jack's really good at it. ennie was being bad with the song and then jack threw him on the ground and rejected ennie's honesty*#< jack hates this btw#also that's a 2/3 for ennie on being rejected by band members. go ennie
