Being childish about media that has controversial themes or pick and choosing which controversial themes to acknowledge just tells me you’re unintelligent and have bad taste ngl
#I’m super sick rn so I can’t rly go to deep into explaining what I mean but the herd mentality of shunning anything society tells us is#gross and wrong and bad is just so embarrassing to me like I don’t even mind getting hate from people for talking about those themes in#media bc it lets me know exactly the type of people that don’t appreciate or understand what art is truly about and those are not the people#I want in my circles anyway#but also if you deliberately choose to not have media literacy bc it makes you uncomfortable- I can’t imagine why that would ever be a#reason not to explore something but if u feel that way that’s totally fine as long as you’re respectful of the people who do want to do that#this post is literally only calling out people who are like ewww u should die when you point out themes that are objectively apart of a#piece of media you come across like 12 year olds with underdeveloped brains#if fucked up stuff just isn’t of interest to u but u let other people chill with it u r cool af and still big brain
