Italian artist Gaetano Pesce was commissioned to interpret a hectare of olive trees in Carovigno countryside, in Puglia, Italy by creating a series of playful holiday homes.

Commissioned by Caterina Tognon of Caterina Tognon Arte Contemporaneo, the two mini houses are the portrait of the gallerist and her husband with faces full of expression – pink for her and blue for him.

Together with architects Gabriele Pimpini and Cosimo Cardone of Studio Talent, Gaetano Pesce created a playful example of contemporary architecture in a context saturated in history, effortlessly straddling the worlds of visual art and contemporary design.

The houses are clad in tinted polyurethane, a versatile material readily used for insulation purposes. Pesce’s work has often concentrated on the research of new materials, having experimented with polyurethane since the 1970s.

‘Pescetrullo’ has become one of the most innovative examples of polyurethane used in a permanent architectural setting, which affords the houses with passive thermal properties. As a result, they require virtually little heating during winter and conversely, cooling in summer.

3.-Un objeto industrial cuenta mucho más pues habla de tendencias de la actualidad.

Hayón

-Tiene una visión muy precisa:

1.- Artesanía

2.-Romper límites.

3.-Renovar marcas.

-Dice que hay que trabajar industrial, pero no olvidar lo artesanal y siempre mejorar.

-Es sus diseños tanto industriales como en interiorismo, refleja una estética barroca.

-En el Casino de Madrid, crea un estilo muy subreal y fantasioso.

-En sus proyectos usa formas muy suaves y elementos distintivos, replantea los trabajos artesanales.

-Hayón recalca que es importante lograr sentimientos, por lo tanto señala que la iluminación juega un papel importante para crear una buena atmósfera.

Ron Arad

-Arad tiene una estética futurista y orgánica, invierte bastante en tecnología e investigación, y esto se ve reflejado en sus diseños.

-En su interiorismo, la iluminación juega un papel importante, pues gracias a ello logra crear grandes atmósferas.

-En el auditorio de Tel Aviv, respeta la arquitectura que ya estaba , y recubre con curvas y a base de la intercacción humana planea la iluminación.

-Siempre piensa en cómo se va a sentir el usuario, con la atmósfera, puntos de vista e iluminación, es muy bien hecho, pues piensa en cada detalle.

-En la Y´s store en Japón se puede apreciar cada uno de estos detalles ya antes mencionados, donde la iluminación juega un papel importante, donde la interacción humana con el espacio está bien estudiada, pues el diseño del mismo interior se vincula con un mobiliario completamente funcional a la tienda.

Pesce, Hayón & Arad

-Los tres diseñadores tienen la idea de sobrepasar los límites, de la arquitectura y el diseño.

-Lo que los diferencia son sus estilos de diseño, que aunque sean posmodernos, los tres marcan una pauta de diseño muy marcada, Hayón muy barroco, Arad futurista y Pesce mucho más ecléctico.
