you ever come up with some fascinating offhand worldbuilding idea that you can never ever implement because it is far too telling about what you're into. guess i've just got this entire ambiguous pseudofantasy setting now for the sole sake of putting these things in it and then putting poor sunshine in a myriad of situations with them.
some notes:
slimes are NOT SENTIENT and pretty much have the thinking level of a plant, if it were mobile. they seek out heat and moisture and are repelled by light on instinct, and they are incapable of feeling pain or caring if you toss them around.
eating a slime will let you temporarily see in the dark, at the tradeoff of increased light sensitivity.
eating one or two slimes won't result in much activity, but if you eat enough, they'll be repelled by one another's luminescence, which can make for a VERY active stomach until they're broken down enough to stop moving. have fun!!
