I only see it mentioned by other people offhandedly every once in a while, like every once in a blood moon kind of rare, but I would DIE to get to see Scar's oil paintings. SIR PLEASE

Decked Out really is a whole other game. It's running on Minecraft textures and programming, of course, but its visual identity is so distinct (Tango's block palettes go SO HARD) and the structure of the game is so brilliantly designed that it just. It's true. It's a whole other game.

Anybody remember when Doc had some crazy shit happen with his redstone because of solar/electromagnetic activity IRL

Now I'm thinking about how Joe said the best part of Hermitcraft is getting to play with others and how Scar said he loved S8 because he could just open his front door and see what everybody was up to. Or the time Ren talked about the "accidental" demolition of Loser Island in S7 because be wanted to hang out with his friends more often.

I REALLY hope we get to see some sort of collaboration specifically between Pearl and Scar someday because they're both obsessed with creating an environment. Scar's got his amusement park design knowledge and Pearl's got an absolutely breathtaking handle on storytelling and immersion.

Listening to modern technical talk reminds me of when I was checking out some videos from S1 and heard Xisuma telling the viewer that he'd switched food sources because Etho had just proven that the saturation from eating changes based on what food you eat.

You guys ever think about how sad it is that nobody will ever stumble across the ruins of things you've made in singleplayer?
Wait. No, I've been there. I've seen old saved worlds. Sometimes you forget what it was for or when it was built in the first place. Sometimes you forget there's something there at all, waiting to be uncovered.
I guess the person to find it is the future you. They're a different person by then.

I am seeing a glimmer in the dark, the light at the end of the tunnel. I didn't know what I was getting into. I know now.

Something that's been on my mind.
Aromantic folks who enjoyed Lovejoy and Wilbur's music, who felt that he championed aro perspectives which are largely ignored in pop culture and especially music: I'm so sorry. Obviously there are more prevalent forms of hurt right now and very pressing troubles to focus on, but saying this as an individual, to a group who gets few acknowledgements, losing that has to be difficult and I hope you find other comforts to turn to. Take care of yourselves.

Y'know. In case anyone wasn't aware. Zircon FakeZircon is a fantastically talented and witty individual who streams Minecraft (including a custom Origins pack that he made himself (and also sometimes in-game Scrabble)), by the way, nudge nudge, and whom you have to thank for some of my own works if simply being a cool member of MCYT doesn't convince you.
He is simply the most guy. He's Zircon FakeZircon.

I really do love the concept of Herobrine- but it's the classic version of the early ghost stories that I love most.

One last thing because I am in Creative Mode: thinking about the "Xisuma is an AI" jokes thrown around by other Hermits and himself.
X as an AI, hardcoded into the Minecraft worlds they visit, a friend carefully brought along through the updates. Or inhabiting a mech that the other redstone experts help tweak and repair as needed, expertise on enchants and armor forging coming in handy. Or simply a wavering collection of code with a will of its own, a life of his own. Regardless of what kind, he is what he is- in a loose sense, still allowing for room to grow. AI is meant to grow, meant to learn; players are growth incarnate, and the Hermits are the epitome, so it's no wonder he'd be so close with them no matter what his original purpose was. After ten years, you settle into a comfortable knowledge around the people you're with, organic or not.
I have a lot of thoughts on this evidently and they all point at Xisuma with "ROBOT GUY WHO CARES ABOUT HIS FRIENDS [AND VICE-VERSA]" in big red lettering

Being friends with Etho must be like being friends with a dragon. The kind that both breathes fire and gets its head stuck in a bucket at least once per day.
