is there a word for female casually but male professionally
#melon rambles#yes i will elaborate in the tags#first of all i identify as a cis woman#i have questioned my gender tho#but the thing is i feel like professionally#being more masculine is more appealing#like id rather people call me sir than maam#or mr. melon over ms. melon ya know#i like to wear suits#i hate wearing heels and dresses and make up#look im a woman#she/her pronouns are what i like#but id be lying if i said i didnt like the way mr. melon sounds#part of this is deeprooted societal inequalities in language#like she and he are feminine and masculine equivalents in basically every way#but maam and sir dont feel like equivalent terms#on the bright side i am pursuing a phd#so ill just be dr. melon and never have to worry about it again
