(these are basically stick figure doodles but i still had a lot of fun drawing them out so :D)

!!? what 3 ocs would you never put in a room together

paro, onion, and watts, because they would all start infodumping about their interests at the exact same time and nobody would actually be able to hear anything the other was saying

(alternatively, i'd never put savory and any of the crucifix assassins in a room together, because it's guaranteed to end in violence)

dunno if someone’s asked this but which of yours ocs has the best/worst culinary skills?

best culinary skills is probably paro! his parents are away from home often, so he had to learn to cook for himself quite early, and it ended up becoming a hobby to cook and bake. so he's the star authurian's chef of sorts and likes to cook for everyone with the ingredients they find on their adventures!

the worst culinary skills goes to savory definitely. he can't cook anything that isn't an easy 'boil it in water' or 'put it in the oven' so he mainly survives off of instant noodles (his favorite flavor is squid) and those ready made meals/TV dinners (i don't actually know the proper name for them)

what are your ocs opinions on pineapple on pizza

i like pineapple on pizza so they all like pineapple on pizza also <3 (except for clyde and chantry and paro probably)

Which of your ocs enjoy pikmin the most?

hmmm... i feel like paro would be most interested in the game's story because of its spacey themes (and i think a lot of pikmin takes place on a post-apocalyptic earth, right? humans in the ultimate excalibur universe are what aliens are to us in real life, where some people don't think they're real and the like, so it'd be interesting to him to see a "hypothetical" earth in a video game i think!!)

but savory would definitely be the biggest fan of the gameplay when it comes to controlling what the pikmin do and training them to be all powerful (though would probably rage if any of them died)

how exactly did nova & paro make optico??? a shape shifting robot sounds pretty difficult to make for a 14/15 yo kid, even if hes super talented with robotics. or is this a normal thing in the UE universe??

i honeslty don't know how to explain this one because i haven't entirely thought it through myself :_:,,, but the main part of optico that makes his abilities 'believeable' per se is that he was made from an old computer! the only parts that were actually properly built by paro were his transformation forms (only hammer and roller skates in the beginning of the series), which were rudimentary at first and were eventually upgraded and worked on as he and nova improved at robotics and designing. also bringing some seriously unrealistic sci-fi into the mix, but i think maybe optico has some sort of compartment that compresses the parts unique to certain transformations inside of him, which is why he's so small

if you haven’t answered this already- not rlly an art ask but how do you make such great character designs? they’re all so cool what gigabrained magic are you using…

color palettes and motifs - go ham on them!!! it's easier for me because i tend to use very limited color palettes on character designs, but they make or break a design in my eyes so experiment with them (esp based on the emotive/personality associations with different colors). and also motifs - for me the best are the most visual, like certain foods, items relating to the character, or recognisable shapes (such as crescents and stars). study other designs with the same motif and cram as much of it into the design as you can (or as much as you'd like the character's "symbol" to be obvious) !
