Weekly Update #1
Finally got my computer set up, and we've got netplay rolling baybeeeee. Birdman spent a good chunk of the night working with me on shield dropping, pivoting and doing things immediately out of that, and some crouch canceling. Got the first two fairly consistent, but crouch canceling is probably going to be a battle. We'll see how long it takes before I can actually use these during sets!
Heading to the DFW weekly on Tuesday, so we'll see how that goes

On 17th August 2010 Bill Millin, piper to Lord Lovat at D Day, died, aged 88.
Born on 14th July 1922 Saskatchewan, Canada to a father of Scottish origin who moved the family to Canada but returned to Glasgow as a policeman when William was three. He grew up and went to school in the Shettleston are of the city. He joined the Territorial Army in Fort William, where his family had moved, and played in the pipe bands of the Highland Light Infantry and the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders before volunteering as a commando and training with Lovat at Achnacarry along with French, Dutch, Belgian, Polish, Norwegian, and Czechoslovakian troops.
Lord Lovat had appointed his personal piper during commando training at Achnacarry, and was the only man during the D Day landing who wore a kilt – it was the same Cameron tartan kilt his father had worn in Flanders during World War I – and he was armed only with his pipes and the sgian-dubh sheathed inside his kilt-hose on the right side.

Bill began his apparently suicidal serenade immediately upon jumping from the ramp of the landing craft into the icy water on D Day. As the Cameron tartan of his kilt floated to the surface he struck up with Hieland Laddie. He continued even as the man behind him was hit, dropped into the sea and sank.Once ashore Millin did not run, but walked up and down the beach, blasting out a series of tunes. After Hieland Laddie, Lovat, the commander of 1st Special Service Brigade (1 SSB), raised his voice above the crackle of gunfire and the crump of mortar, and asked for another. Millin strode up and down the water’s edge playing The Road to the Isles.
Bodies of the fallen were drifting to and fro in the surf. Soldiers were trying to dig in and, when they heard the pipes, many of them waved and cheered — although one came up to Millin and called him a “mad bastard”.His worst moments were when he was among the wounded. They wanted medical help and were shocked to see this figure strolling up and down playing the bagpipes. To feel so helpless, Millin said afterwards, was horrifying. For many other soldiers, however, the piper provided a unique boost to morale. “I shall never forget hearing the skirl of Bill Millin’s pipes,” said one, Tom Duncan, many years later. “It is hard to describe the impact it had. It gave us a great lift and increased our determination. As well as the pride we felt, it reminded us of home and why we were there fighting for our lives and those of our loved ones.”
When the brigade moved off, Millin was with the group that attacked the rear of Ouistreham. After the capture of the town, he went with Lovat towards Bénouville, piping along the road.
They were very exposed, and were shot at by snipers from across the canal. Millin stopped playing. Everyone threw themselves flat on the ground — apart from Lovat, who went down on one knee. When one of the snipers scrambled down a tree and dived into a cornfield, Lovat stalked him and shot him. He then sent two men into the corn to look for him and they came back with the corpse. “Right, Piper,” said Lovat, “start the pipes again.”
At Bénouville, where they again came under fire, the CO of 6 Commando asked Millin to play them down the main street. He suggested that Millin should run, but the piper insisted on walking and, as he played Blue Bonnets Over the Border, the commandos followed.
When they came to the crossing which later became known as Pegasus Bridge, troops on the other side signalled frantically that it was under sniper fire. Lovat ordered Millin to shoulder his bagpipes and play the commandos over. “It seemed like a very long bridge,” Millin said afterwards.
The pipes were damaged by shrapnel later that day, but remained playable. Millin was surprised not to have been shot, and he mentioned this to some Germans who had been taken prisoner.They said that they had not shot at him because they thought he had gone off his head.
The pictures shows Millin playing at Edinburgh Castle in 2001, on Sword beach, 1994 and his statue there which was unveiled in 2013.

Turkey's ambitious TF-X National Combat Aircraft (MMU) will be removed from the hangar in March 2023, as scheduled, said the head of the Presidency of the Defense Industries of Turkey (SSB).
Ismail Demir, speaking at the press conference "Defense Industry Goals for 2023" held in Teknopark Istanbul, said that Turkey's defense industry is eager to reach its export target of $6 billion (TL 112.53 billion) in 2023, according to the Turkish newspaper Daily Sabah.
An image of what appears to be the aircraft almost completed in a Turkish Aerospace Industry (TAI) factory was shared by the Turkish media (below) and shows significant progress compared to the most recent images of the aircraft published by TAI in November 2022.
The TF-X launch ceremony was scheduled for March 18, 2023, according to Ismail Demir,
According to TAI, the inaugural flight is scheduled for 2025 and the start of serial production is scheduled for 2028.
According to information shared by SSB, the 2023 goals of the defense industry for aviation and space cover several projects.
As part of the Özgür project, the avian modernization of the current F-16 fighters in the country's stock will be completed and the aircraft will be delivered to the air forces. Deliveries of the first batch of the Gökbey helicopter will be made to the General Command of the Gendarmerie. The unmanned aerial combat vehicle Bayraktar TB3 (UCAV), with vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) scheduled for deployment with Turkey's future flagship, will make its inaugural flight.
With the delivery of the sixth and last P-72 maritime patrol aircraft, the Meltem-3 project will also be completed.
In electronic systems, the EASA radar will be used for the first time in an Akinci UCAV and the country will begin its integration with the F-16 for the first time. The F-16 will perform functions by integrating the locally developed Electronic War Pod and the Electronic Support Pod.

i really wonder why Seb won't attend the MTV's 😅 last year when he was a nominee, he didn't go neither and he could've gone cause he had the day free from p&t, i remember Seth attending. Then this year i understand he's not a direct nominee but the show's still nominated and he's in LA, so why not go? I had so much hope to see Chris and Seb at the same place again 😔
I don't remember what was the most likely main reason why Ssb didn't attend last year (the pandemic, or wanting Mackie to have that moment, or something else), but I guess this year, since he isn't nominated, he'd have to be invited in order to attend, so maybe he wasn't? Pam and Tommy isn't even up for best show, so maybe it didn't warrant an invite? I don't know how these things work though, so this might not be it. He could also have a prior engagement, who knows! 🤷🏻♀️

Sugary Drink Consumption Among College Students in New Zealand
I found myself eager for a cold Coca Cola in several points of a day, and that raises my awareness why and how sugary drink consumption are impacting my peer college students in New Zealand.
Look what I have found so far: A 2021 research found that school-age children in New Zealand consume a lot of sugar-sweetened drinks (SSBs), with pupils from socially disadvantaged regions consuming more of them than other kids. 63% of parents or caregivers said they consume sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) fewer than once a week, 18.4% 1-2 days each week, and 9.5% once a day or more (Smirk et al., 2021). For college students, West et al. (2006) reported direct correlation between sugary beverage consumption and college students’ obesity.
Need to call for awareness of this consumption trend!

“Overstuffed” + Palutena
As if it wasn't enough that the goddess would have been degraded by Dark Pit, but he decided to make a game in the next match. How many toys could she fit in her abused ass until she passed out or is forced to have them pushed out. Taking all bets, folks!
Not even EVO could rivalize with the hype surrounding this match, despite pretty much being a one player game.
Palutena was taking center stage in Battlefield while Dark Pit was making mad banks. The nude degreded Goddess as for herself, was shoving toys, after toys, after toys in her stretched out butthole.
The toys came from the audience themselves, throwing them at the buttslut, who crawled around and jam it up her ass.

L - Attack
R- Shield
Z- Grab
X - Taunt
Y - Jump
A - Attack
B - Special
C-stick - Tilt
Tap jump - OFF
While I definitely love having the c-stick as tilt (I can't hit tilt inputs without it oml), it makes things like DACUS and QD JC Up Smash difficult. Still working out the timing with L as my attack button.
