Pirates SMP AU Where...
Acho Denholm was lost at sea in a fight with his rogue pirate crew. A cannon torn through the belly of the ship throwing him into the stormy seas. Weighted down by fighting, Acho wasn't strong enough to swim back to the surface leaving them to slowly descend deeper into the terrifying darkness with a muffled cry for help.
With no air left, Acho gave up hope of surviving as he could see the battle continue to rage on above him. As consciousness floated away, star heard the most beautiful singing he's ever laid ear to. He feels lips on theirs and a gust of oxygen in his lungs as their body tingles with the touch of magic.
When star wakes up, he's been changed. Fins, gills, a tail, sharp teeth, and a sirens voice. The Sea heard his cries and answered in the only way she knew how. Acho was now a part of her depths for the rest of his life.
//I might do a drawing of this tbf but I legit conjured this up right after waking up so.This is a bit longer than I expected but here's some possible plot points for it!//
The Denholms catch wind of Acho's demise (maybe by someone on the crew who came for the Factioning idk) and Scott is rightfully distraught. He goes out searching desperately for an artifact that could bring his brother back but finds nothing
Alternatively, after hearing of his brother's loss, Scott goes adventuring and finds himself under the protection of a siren that never lets him see it's face
Acho gets captured by one of the pirates on the Isles and brought back to their faction base. Scott stumbles in and is brought to his knees and demands to know why the siren has his brother's face. After hearing the siren speak, Scott finds out the truth of what happened
Final note: I like to think that Acho/sirens when out of water long enough to dry off can transform to have scaled legs but they need to be in water at least half of their day

Okay so the Denholm brothers have been on my brain a lot recently, and with the direction this smp is probably going + what I know from outsiders, it's pretty unlikely that both of them will survive to the end. So here are my ideas of what would happen if one of them sacrificed themselves for the other (both written slightly differently because I just went wherever the thoughts took me)
Acho
- Scott would take in Dipper and reminisce with him about the good times he and Acho had when they were kids. Dipper becomes a permanent addition to the Heron faction and can often be seen milling about the tavern or sleeping next to the waterfall. Scott tells him that he was a good boy and he did his best to look after Acho while they were here.
- He would regret not searching harder, thinking maybe if he had found Acho and talked everything out, things wouldn't have ended up this way, or at least he would have had some more time.
- He would look back through his diary and rip out all the pages where he promised to protect Acho. He gathers them all and puts them back where they go almost immediately after.
- Maybe he'd look up and talk to the stars just like Acho used to do. It feels a bit awkward at first, but eventually, it becomes natural, and he finds himself talking to the stars like they're an old friend.
- He would possibly start to grow resentful of his parents depending on their reactions to Acho's death, and angry at them for pushing Acho away from the family.
- He would feel guilty for driving Acho away. If he had realized how they felt, had done more to show he cared, had tried to understand Acho better, maybe star would have never left. Maybe they could have done it together.
Scott
- Acho would be angry at first. He had told Scott so many times that they didn't need protecting, that they could hold their own. So why? Why was Scott gone and Acho still standing here? He told him he didn't need protecting, and yet there he went, throwing himself into the fray like an idiot. Did he not think they could protect themselves? Did he still think they were weak? What had Acho even done to deserve that kind of devotion? He left. He left Scott alone for a year with no message, no warning, and yet he still did it. Acho just doesn't understand.
- Then comes the guilt and regret. The times he told Scott he didn't need protecting, the times he ignored him, ran the opposite direction, blamed him for their parents' mistakes and left him to shoulder the brunt of their expectations alone. He can't say he regrets leaving, that would be disingenuous, but he often spends nights tossing and turning in his bed, wondering what could have happened if they had just left some kind of message. Maybe it wouldn't have saved him, but at least they would have had a little more time.
- Star would deny being upset about it to anyone they weren't close to. Scott made his choice, Acho never asked him to give up his life. He wouldn't have done the same. Graecie, of course, sees right through this and eventually manages to get through to him enough that he admits everything, and it becomes a nightingale secret.
- Acho has another person to talk to in the stars. He thinks about if the two of them would get along, decides they probably wouldn't. He hopes they stick around for him all the same.

And.. like I said, i'm focusing on Pirates smp, sooo...
The last time Acho saw his older brother, he was twelve, and Scott was sixteen. Acho was venting his woes and distress while Scott comforted him. Eventually, Scott exscused himself to talk to their parents, and a few hours later, their parents came into the house, no older brother in sight. «Where’s scott?» Acho had asked, and his parents had brushed him off. Scott did not come back that night, but Acho had witnessed a new boat that hadn’t been in harbor long take off. Eventually, the story came out that Acott had run off in one of the Delholms lesser boats, a runaway from parents and factions.. That was the story the Delholm elders would stick with.
The darker truth could be that what Scott Delholm has said to his parents would not turn into a conversation but a shouting match, one where Scott would be thrown out of favor in their eyes. And while the parents had initially had called their associates In the white cloaks to take youngest off their hands, the parents met with their hires to take eldest away while parents adoring eyes could turn to said younger. Whatever happened to Scott Delholm is mystery unto everyone but himself

p!aimsey p2
i am absolutely going feral rn.
SO. P!aimsey disappeared the day of the factioning and most people really liked them! Guqqie also got kinda.. kidnapped-
AND!!! A bit (like a week or two) after this event, the island (who was purple and full of weird vines) got turned into stone... like Guqqie was.....
But even more recently, in the last few days, two groups went on the aimsey island (at different times).
The Herons (Scott, Owen and Watermuch) went a few DAYS ago and scott noticed purple particules floating around the island. Then he noticed AIMSEY was in it.
The thing is, Owen and Water weren't seeing it. You can go watch from their pov, and aimsey won't appear, but from scott, they will.
But TODAY, the nightingales (Apo, Acho, Michaela, Graecie, Willow and Ros) went and both Apo and Acho saw them. They saw Aimsey in the purple. Others saw the particules too, but not aimsey.
THREE PEOPLE SO FAR SEEMED TO HAVE SEEN AIMSEY!
Also, I just would like to say :
- when Scott said aimsey was here and the others weren't seeing it, they said scott was "seeing things" and maybe was a bit crazy.
- when Apo and Acho were seeing things, the others nightingales decited to chase the particules to try to find Aimsey, and only questioned the fact that they weren't seeing them a bit, but only after having chased aimsey for a while.
AISMEY MIGHT BE ALIVE AND I'M NOT OKAY. IS GUQQIE GONNA BE BACK TOO???
there's Aimsey, barely visible in the first pic (from Acho's pov) and then way more visible in the second pic (Scott's pov). Their skin is a bit weird and the particules really don't help seeing them properly.... BUT THERES AIMSEY!!!
On scott's pov, you can even see the nametag!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pirates SMP Headcanons
(about Scott, Acho, and Owen coz they're the characters I know best)
-Scott and Acho used to catch fireflies together and watch the stars on rooftops
-Owen got incredibly drunk and flirted with a cardboard cut out
-Acho and Scott used to play dress up as kids until their parents would come home and scold them
-Owen calls himself a lone seadog but most definitely prefers company
-Acho dreads facing his parents and doubts if he'd stay if they did return or if he'd force himself to leave Scott again

I believe in the Nightingales are found family + Aimsey & Guqqie. because the nightingales care so much about sunship like more than their own factions seem to care so Im taking it into my own hands
Graecie & Will -> Oldest Siblings, "Twins" in a way i suppose
Acho -> Second oldest
Apo -> Third Oldest
Ros -> Second Youngest
Michela -> Youngest
Aimsey & Guqqie -> Wine aunts in a funny way but also could be Older Cousin & Older Cousins Girlfriend if you look at it in that way.
Michela is reluctant to let herself be accepted as apart of this found family due to what happened in the "In Too Deep" lore. Blames herself heavily and doesnt think she belongs anywhere
The other nightingales are there to reassure her that shes apart of their family, and no matter what happens or what mistakes are made, that wont change because they care.

Aimsey & Guqqie would exist in this family in an au where they didn't die immediately and something else kick-started the lore :)
