I did some sorting of my white oak earlier this week to show some pictures to @sylvanray into long, short, and stuff that will fit through the planer. I have had some interesting conversations with a couple folks about and hearing what they liked about my white oak and what I could do differently next time. Finally cut some maple burls! This was was part of a log that was given to me last year that sat out in front of a fellas place for 3 years. I cut the rest of the log last year but didn't know really how to cut these up. I finally decided to cut them into 3" cookies. This is sone of the smaller odd pieces of white oak I put up late last winter. Based on my experience with my current batch, I am probably not going to bother taking these particular pieces to the kiln and just let them air dry out. These smaller pieces are on the most exposed end of my drying shed.
