Just came across this post from IMPACT on Instagram and find it to be relevant to conversations parts of the fandom have had about DWD.
#I understand DWD is meant to be an entertaining film#I understand that films can and should portray upsetting concepts#I don’t believe in the sanitization of art so people can feel more comfortable#my problem with DWD has always been with the way the director and studio chose to market the film#which is dangerous and completely misleading#I can’t tell you how sick it makes me to see fans showing up to their local theater wearing homemade tshirts that say#‘jack chambers is innocent’#or wb sending out emails directly to Harry’s fans signed by this abusive character#it’s all been a terrible misstep from everyone involved#I could go on and on#I probably have to the annoyance of plenty of people I’m sure#but this is an important observation to make especially now that the film will be released to wider audiences#dwd#don’t worry darling
