#only second to shijima's arc

Note
I just read your theory about Amane's past. The Tsukasa with seal is just a yorishiro, a representation of what he used to be, but he still has all the memories, and he still lives all the current situations and presents vulnerability (last arc). Is it something artificial? Does it affect Tsukasa who was alive? Has he somehow merged with who he used to be? Since he can apparently travel through time. The point- if he is a yorishiro, why does he feel and even act minimally like a human being? Why care about what he feels if he's just a representation? (I love Tsukasa, but I had this doubt since his yorishiro form is just a representation. It's as if there was a basic form that takes the form of what is important for the supernatural? Or what was existing only starts to have another function?) Sorry for the confusing text-
Ps.: Hello from a Brazilian fella! :)
Yeeeeey another Brazilian! hahahaha first thanks for writing the ask in English so that everyone can understand. Second, I will leave the answer in Portuguese for you at the end, after the English version, you can skip to the end if you want.
Yeeeeey outro brasileiro! hahahaha primeiramente obrigado por escrever o ask em inglês para que todos possam entender. Segundo, eu irei deixar a resposta em português para você no final, após a versão em inglês, você pode pular para o final se quiser.
Let's start
About the yorishiros being a representation of the real version, we're not sure about that, it was actually something that crossed my mind because of the appearances of the unsealed Tsukasa and because of Sumire.
The real Sumire died many years ago, but she reappeared as Hakubo's yorishiro, we don't know if her soul returned to become the yorishiro or if it is a representation. I was pondering yesterday about number one's yorishiro.
If it's just one yorishiro or if there are three, and if Akane's yorishiro would be Aoi.
If this is the case, it means that we would have confirmation that the yorishiros are a representation of the real thing, after all Aoi is alive, right?
Yorishiros keep memories, whether they are human or not, they exist to represent in an identical way what their owners love most and want to protect, they all had memories, the difference is that human yorishiros also have feelings.
This makes it even more difficult for them to be destroyed by their owners, and that is precisely why they must be so identical to the originals, so that the owner fulfills his duty, and as it is something or someone that they love so much; they will hardly destroy them without a good motivation, in addition to the fact that they become weaker.
Regarding the feelings and memories of human yorishiros, I don't believe it is artificial, they have the same memories, the point is that they gained new memories over time and new ways of thinking. Think of human yorishiro as clones.
Whether this affects the real Tsukasa, we don't know. It is interesting to note that Tsukasa who travels through the time stream does not have any seal, but he knows everything that is happening.
If you pay attention, you will notice that there is a subtle difference in personality between them, it is very small. About the love and feelings they feel, it's real, it's practically the same person, the difference is that like yorishiro he is eternally linked to his owner until he is destroyed.
Take Mei's case, she found her human version again, who had already died a long time ago, even though she wasn't her yorishiro, the human Shijima Mei was on the border, as a representation of the original, when Mei finally accepted Once she died, she was able to leave.
Tumblr media
It's a representation.
But, it's good to keep in mind that all of this is just a hypothesis, a possibility, there is no certainty so far that the yorishiros are a representation.
But if you want to know, I'd rather they were… Because can you imagine?
Hanako killed his brother, and his soul was forced to return and be eternally linked to Hanako as his yorishiro. It's the real thing, with memories, feelings…. Just to serve as a battery to give strength and energy to the older brother while he is rejected by him, trapped in a lonely and dark place…. To one day be "dead" again.
Painful, isn't it?
In the same way as imagining Tsukasa alone at the border shouting Hanako's name so that he could help him, free him from that place… And Hanako listened to everything without doing anything, without even trying to help his younger brother who was begging for he…
Or, that Hanako had never heard his voice, he never knew that Tsukasa called him.
Which version is the best?
Yeah, sometimes I prefer some situations to work the way I think…. It's less cruel.
Qual versão é a melhor?
É, as vezes eu prefiro que algumas situações funcionem da forma como eu penso…. É menos cruel.

Love for Yashiro Nene ⍣ ೋ
3/6
← →
Sousuke Mitsuba
Yashiro doesn't know about the human Mitsuba who died, but she does know of the person who’s left of him, the second Mitsuba. That Mitsuba and her are not close friends, but they had their moments. In the Hell of Mirror arc, they were pretty comedic. Yashiro tries to show herself off as the cute senpai Mistuba can look up to, whilst he constantly teases her about her ankles. And then into the Picture Perfect arc they were still pretty fine.
Tumblr media
He and Yashiro do overlap often however, more specifically with their relationships wth Kou and Hanako respectively. Both Kou and Hanako have a habit of doing everything themselves, not listening to others and going on impulse. This affects Yashiro and Mitsuba, as they don’t want them to do this and even get hurt in the process, but they just won’t listen. These parallels run even deeper in the coming chapters as Kou becomes more and more like Hanako.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shijima Mei
Shijima Mei, not the supernatural, only has her appearance in the Picture Perfect arc, and that’s all the screen time she gets, but her impact is still pretty significant, it can also extend to Yashiro. Together Yashiro and Mei are an earnest couple. With Yashiro’s silly and extreme self mixed in with Mei’s curious and determined self, they are fun to read.
Mei’s resolve also parallels Yashiro's. All Mei really wants to do is make the most of her life, to experience everything it has to offer. Mei is, by definition, a damsel in distress. A bedridden girl with only her pencil and sketchbook to keep her company. Yet she still wants to live. Her will can align with Yashiro as she also doesn’t have much to live for, but she carries on. Infact, right after Yashiro meets Mei she comes up with this resolution and gives herself purposes outside of romance. When Yashiro asks if she’s scared, she is, but she continues to pursue a bountiful life.
Tumblr media
Mei is significant in the way that she gave Yashiro the idea of turning up her little life not to some evil sea witch or prince, but for herself.
Hyuuga Natsuhiko
At first, Hyuuga Natsuhiko was somebody who Yashiro thought of to be her type, but she was promptly proven wrong as he kidnaps her and gets stuck in a boundary with him. He is also very flirtatious and makes moves on her and on other women despite his infatuation with Sakura. In a way his a counterpart to Teru, they may have been Yashiro’s crush for a while and be popular, but Teru’s a lot more genuine than Natsuhiko. He cares for others and is pretty reliable, not much to say for Natsuhiko though.
Tumblr media
Amane Tsukasa
Amane Tsukasa is the main antagonist of the manga. He is childish, immature, and doesn’t care for the people he hurts. So Yashiro does not like him one bit, in fact, she fears him. Tsukasa has been emphasized to be pure evil, or at least a being that comes from it. He is what it means to be a supernatural, and not care for humans nor supernatural. All he really cares about is granting wishes and his twin brother. They don’t have many interactions, but they are connected in the aspect of Hanako and the Kannagi. Hanako is self explanatory, yet for the Kannagi, Yashiro visits the red house where we see Tsukasa, the little boy who dies, and later the Kannagi.
Tumblr media
Nanamine Sakura
Out of everyone, Nanamine Sakura is more keen on Yashiro Nene. She is the only one Nanamine says she wishes to be friends with. According to Natsuhiko, she doesn’t say her feelings out front most of the time, but she does with Yashiro. She is especially kind to her as well. When she had to drown in the Tea Party arc there’s a chance that she might’ve sent down Natsuhiko with her, not because she’s annoyed with him per say, but she knew he would at least protect her. Together with how in the later chapters, she gives Yashiro information and tries (and fails) to joke around with her. Nanamine also read books about how to get along with her juniors aka Yashiro.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Between Yashiro and Nanamine, there’s also a sort of understanding. They are both working for an Amane twin, and are regarded as priestesses. Their job is hard and tiring so talking to one and another helped make it a little better. Nanamine Sakura spreads harmful rumors to the Seven Wonders, whilst Yashiro Nene makes new and friendly ones. Nanamine has to use a broadcast to change one’s perception of the Seven Wonders aka using rumors. Yashiro also has the ability, except she doesn’t need a broadcast to get the word out.
Tumblr media
Strangely enough the similaires even reach to their designs. Both of them have high stockings, a brooch, bangs, and their hair tied together in the sides of their hair.

Okay so I have some ideas on why amane might have wanted to get the clock working
First I thought he’d want to go to the future to see nene again
Tumblr media
You know since that was his wish
But at this point he only met her once, at the festival, when she met him during the tea party he was in his second year of middle school and had bruises at that point too, and when he was fixing the clock it was his first year and he didn’t have any bruises yet, so he probably didn’t know that nene was from the future
So I don’t think it was to see nene (but idk for sure these are just ideas)
Maybe he knows something about the “god” under the house and tsukasa, and is probably wanting to stop tsukasa from making that wish
Tumblr media
This panel makes me think that a little more, like Tsukasa knows what Amane feels or Amane said something to Tsukasa, especially how amane didn’t respond to that, like he doesn’t see him the same anymore.
And my final idea
Remember the pp arc where where Shijima wanted to kill mei
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Soooooo…..
Maybe it’s similar with Amane, maybe he wanted to kill Tsukasa to kinda protect him from the house “god”
Ik it sounds really weird but hear me out, shijima wanted to protect Mei
Tumblr media
Amane wanted to protect Tsukasa
So maybe it’s similar to Shijima and Mei in wanted one to be protected
Anyway I want Tsuchigomori to be back next chapter I’m going insane, either him or Hanako’s parents and neither are gonna happen 😭

PICTURE PERFECT ARC/FAKE WORLD ARC!
Before I get to that... can we talk about THIS?
Tumblr media
Summer Festival chapters 37-38, this panel is in 38.
And Yashiro decides that THIS was a dream! I mean, it could have been but does anyone of us believe that? No! Plus, let's say it was a dream, why did Yashiro dream of little Hanako/Amane to say "you're my type" while she has multiple times REFUSED that she likes Hanako in that way. I can't...
NEXT!
Tumblr media
Honestly, when this arc started (I had gotten spoiled that this would happen) I thought "oh, Hanako is alive now...", I was confused just as much as Yashiro was and then when I saw Mitsuba is alive as well... something definitely felt off. The fact that only Kou and Yashiro were aware, didn't sit right with me. But it was cute and then...
Tumblr media
This happens, and it's not cute, it's not fun. Though, question. Later on, it is revealed that both Hanako and Mitsuba were aware that this world was fake, Mitsuba knew for sure since he was there when it happened but Hanako obviously wasn't dumb enough to believe that it was real, since he was alive in 1960s not when Yashiro is. Anyway, my question is, why didn't Akane get drugged into this? And if he did, which I don't think so, why wasn't he aware? Another question... where was Teru? Though it wouldn't be wise to have him in that world but still, he said nothing after the fact either. And yes, he hasn't for many events but he said something in the whole Clock Keepers chapters and this seemed just as an important thing to have happened... maybe he didn't notice but I somehow doubt that.
Also! Bc Hanako was aware or I guess, it was the real Hanako in that world the whole time...
Tumblr media
HE DRUGGED THIS OUT OF YASHIRO AND GOD DAMN! This meant something to him. Her saying that she likes him as Amane as well and then later on...
Tumblr media
The moment on the roof where Yashiro again says that she likes Hanako, mind you this is the second time she says it without adding "as a friend" after it.
Anyway though...
Tumblr media
Yashiro learning about her shortened life span, both shocked me but it was also something I was expecting in a way. It's sad really, how even though Hanako pretended to not care if Yashiro dies (in the The Three Clock Keepers chapters), the reason why he didn't reveal himself, the reason why he didn't want to destroy this fake world was for Yashiro. He wants her to live and if this was a loophole, he would take it. Even if he made them, Kou and Yashiro, mad at him. He didn't care.
Tumblr media
But of course, let me quickly introduce the No.4 of the Seven Mysteries, Shijima Mei. Honestly, her story confused me, like, is she dead and that's her dead spirit or is that her imaginary personality that came to life after her death? I got confused, I don't know.
Tumblr media
Well, that's the end, the fake world was destroyed and this is the last panel of it. Honestly, I still have stuff to say but I will have a post solely focused on it, haha.
Next post will be favourite panels, and thank you for reading this, honestly...
Bye! 💖

Please enjoy an essay on why mitsukou has so much fucking potential and why they’re great together
by Elena~
Tumblr media
I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a connection like the one that mitsukou shares. This ship literally has true canon potential. I have hope and believe that we may be victorious in mitsukou becoming canon- I mean god dammit guys they are “SEMI CANON”-
kounene obviously won’t be endgame. In Houkago Shounen Hanako Kun (the spin-off series) they played a game in which the person who pulled a king card was able to get to command a person that was playing the game to do something no matter what. When Kou pulled his card- he literally decided he wanted his brother Teru who was there and Nene to have a romantic connection (hence- him saying and I fucking quote, “This will make senpai happy!”) He could’ve done it to his own benefit- to maybe earn a kiss or do something of his own benefit. But he didn’t, instead choosing to make his senpai happy.
Besides Hananene is basically canon already like what the fuck
As for Mitsuba he’s a gay coded character and hasn’t denied the guys aren’t his type. Some people who deem Mitsuba straight might use the scene where he tells Kou “Is this a love confession? Sorry but lame earrings aren’t really my style.” That still does not confirm that Mitsuba doesn’t swing that way. A really great piece of evidence is the bonus comics at the start and end of a manga- one titled, “Tell Me, Mitsuba Kun,” in which Kou asks if he ever had a crush on other girls- Mitsuba responding that there are simply no other girls cuter than him. In another bonus comic he says the same thing again when he tells Yokoo and Satou he wants to fall in love. When asked to name some girls he thinks are cute, he asks if it's possible that he was the cutest one of all. On the other hand, Kou has stated that he likes someone with a pretty smile (do I have to explain that) which is a pretty open explanation of his type (not denying or confirming he doesn’t like guys). Obviously as a Mitsukou shipper I can point out different actions that I’ll admit looks pretty gay.
It’s not the fact that it’s very common in manga like this that there’s the straight couple and then the other two people in the group are automatically paired together- they are so much more than that. They have a deep connection, and both Kou and Mitsuba are somewhat aware of that themselves. Mitsuba is willing to protect Kou from harm- he’s willing to stop him from getting himself hurt for others because Mitsuba cares, and he knows that he’s too reckless and caring and fearless for others in a way that isn’t healthy?
Kou likes to be everything for everyone and the reader can see in chapter 64 that Mitsuba really did try to talk to him about the behavior. Yes it’s weird to see Mitsuba actually show true concern to people--because it’s his character to be a jerk and an asshole, but that doesn’t mean Mitsuba is incapable of not having true genuine feelings for people he seems as his friends.
Obviously, Mitsuba trying to talk to Kou didn’t happen due to other events that occurred. But I think a lot of people agree that the moment would’ve been so beautifully written and truly played an extremely important part in Kou’s character development.
As for Mitsuba, Kou is generally a sweet guy. It’s stated he will give up his life for anyone, it was what he was taught growing up as an exorcist and a fighter. Those words do not fail his actions, and anyone can see Kou will die for literally anything which is really messed up. He’s 14 for fucks sake.
Someone against Mitsukou could use that as an argument but we see here in the manga that there’s simply something different about this said connection. Kou is first introduced to Mitsuba in chapter 30 something, and he remembers who he is after Yokoo tells him--what happened to Mitsuba that was ultimately the end of his life. Mitsuba does again by his rumor being changed, and being stabbed by Hanako- but it’s the fact he cries and loses sleep and just cannot let him go for anything that moves me. May I point out that he actually decided to process the photos even after Mitsubas death? He didn’t have to do that. Not at all. But he did anyways. It’s seen that Kou wants to find a way to help Mitsuba get away from Tsukasa and help him fit in more- he wants to be a friend. (Note: after he’s reintroduced to Mitsuba; this Mitsuba being a pure apparition with no memories.)
Mitsuba is deeply insecure about himself, and feels he doesn’t fit in. He’s lonely, and doesn’t have friends even as a ghost. But Kou is there. He’s there to be by Mitsubas side.
The deep connection the two of them have is strong and that’s especially shown in the picture perfect arc. At the beginning Kou first sees Mitsuba as a human and obviously it’s freaking him out because-he’s a ghost you know. But once him and Nene meet Shijima Mei, and are told they must kill Hanako (Amane) and Mitsuba, it’s disturbing to them. At this point in the series literally everyone know Hanako and Yashiro share a connection as lovers. I mean- its the couple that the series revolves around. But Kou is deeply disturbed because he doesn’t want to kill Mitsuba. Yet- Mei also reassured them that things will be alright since after all this is a fake world and there’s no need for hesitation. But it’s still affecting Kou and he’s carrying this information on his back as he learns beside Mitsuba in school and has fun with him while cleaning the pool. At night, when the two of them are walking on the school building and watching the stars from the window, Kou confronts Mitsuba about this (note: by now Kou knows that Mitsuba knows). Mitsuba goes on to reveal his true form, and uses his powers to show Kou the past. He tells him about how he learns about his past self. And he states to just feel so… “envious”
Mitsuba grows angry with Kou- because he can see how he’s looking at the true Mitsuba with such a gaze the fake Mitsuba knows he won’t ever get.
Things lead to one another and he smashes the window in fury. (“It’s that Mitsuba you want, right?!” And I dare you to tell me that doesn’t sound like a fucking quote from a bittersweet romance novel.)
Kou insists on getting Mitsuba out of there. And can I please just point out that Mitsuba says: “What are you doing?!” He asks Kou if this isn’t what he wanted- if this isnt the life they want to live from here on out where they can be happy together along with their friends. This reminds me of a direct parallel to Hananene, in which Hanako is confused as to why Nene wouldn’t want to stay here, and Nene tells him that this isn’t what she wants. Kou says the same thing to Mitsuba.
Kou drags out embedded feelings Mitsuba has as they fight, and he says quotes that are really important to their development. Things such as:
“But… who else is there?! Who else could grant my wish?! Even you, Minamoto- Kun!”
“You see… even you don’t care about me. It’s that “Mitsuba,” isn’t it?! I don't even MATTER!!”
“I’m Mitsuba’s fake, but let’s just call it real! This is a world where the “Mitsuba” you were unable to save can live happily! That’s good, isn’t it?”
“Even if it’s only in this world, be my friend, and stay by my side… I’m just thinking scary things. Over there, I’ll be jealous.”
I think the Picture Perfect arc really shows how desperate Mitsuba is to have friends- to fit in with everyone else and to just feel like he belongs and matters. Kou tries to tell him that isn’t true... he’s willing to do everything to let him know that he is so much more than what he deems himself as. He’s so much more than a “fake” of what used to be his original friend, there's so much more to do than wish wishes and hope things will just go the way you want things to go. There’s a better way than to look to evil to bend and defy the laws of existing.
There’s the famous quote Kou says- the “How about I die too. So that we can be together forever.” And how he decided right there this this fake Mitsuba- this apparition who very much will never become human- is worthy. He’s worthy of his life; this is more than the whole “I will die for every life” because Mitsuba is dead- he’s immortal as a ghost. But a human like him... in Mitsubas words someone who will never understand something as ugly and as horrifying as a apparition born from a real persons soul and lesser about to disappear spirits- Kou will give his life up just to know the hell he goes through. Even if it’s just a glimpse- even if it’s just for a second Kou will do anything to just fulfill Mitsubas wish for him to stay by his side. He will do anything for Mitsuba.
I think writing this out also makes me realize they both have their walls up. Kou has his walls up to try and hide his true feelings- his deepest fears and insecurities- feeling as if he isn’t good enough. Mitsuba has his walls up to do the same. He portrays himself as a guy that he deems will get him friends. He hides the ugliness in himself- hides the fact he’s a total fake; doesn’t belong anywhere and his deepest insecurities.
But the two of them together help each other in such a way that it’s unable to truly analyze every single moment they share together.
They help each other but teach the other to bring their walls down. That it’s okay to talk about your feelings and that you don’t have to be everything for everyone. That you don’t have to give up everything you have living- your health and your literal life- for someone. That it’s okay to feel like you don’t fit in. It’s okay to feel like there’s just no other choice of getting what you want and therefore doing the wrong things. That people will love you just for you; what happened in the past put aside.
Mitsuba and Kou are in love.
The end. 💖

JSHK MANGA CHAPTER 49
Rereading Number 4's arc I found this little detail that at first I didn't recognize at all or didn't take it seriously (cause again at first sight didn't pay too much attention...) But anyway, look at these panels really closely:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pretty normal to this point? Right. This is for manga readers, but don't worry, in this part Nene was trying to get outside of the canvas of Number 4 (Aka Ghost Shijima Mei). The only way of escape seems to kill Amane (Aka Hanako kun) and Mitsuba. Because they are the protagonists of this paint, the ones who made the wish. Kou by himself tries to find his own way with Mitsuba and in the other hand, Nene tries to... run away with Hanako. (All 4 have the same and only brain cell.) (AND WHERE IS TERU IN THIS F*CKING ARC? GOD APPEAR FOR YOUR BROTHER, YOU BITC...)
At this point, Number 4 is appearing in everyone's faces. In every place. It doesn't matter how much Yashiro tries to run or to hide. Mei has made it clear that there is no escape from her canvas. Amane/Hanako accompanies Yashiro everywhere to a moment she understand all of this. Hanako/Amane lies to Yashiro, he said he didn't see anything like that. (Just to protect her of course, in his moron way to be...) And then he starts with this monologue in a (really Hanako way) misteryous way. And in the end of this scene, we have this:
Tumblr media
Yes, THAT happened. A paint brush makes his appearence. I might say, the real Shijima Mei saw that. So his soul appeared as the thing she loved to use more, the thing that creates, the brush. She saw her thoughts being reflected in Amane's speech about stoping time, about just living this moment, about just living a lie. "Don't you think it would be good if tomorrow just didn't come?"
That hits hard for a person that... only wanted to live so much. But she couldn't. Is actually her own torture. Her own thinking. Always painting the lie, always wanting to live, always wishing for another day more to keep living like she wanted to. (That's why Tsukasa get in her way.) She had to do something at that point, to stop that, so people don't repeat her own fears (God, I love this manga!) even if that one is number 7, the most scary of the misteries (ha!).
The brush show to both of them, that it is reliable, that they can trust it, until Hanako-kun breaks it to... pieces. And he did the same thing to Yashiro to make her sleeps so she keep quiet and don't go too far again. The same thing his brother did in previous chapters (Aka Mirror Hell arc) Seriously Amane, your Tsukasa is showing.
And with everything said, let's go to the important stuff. The paint brush appeared in front of them and in the process it paints Hanako's face two times. The first time is to make fun of him for saying those... depressing words, pretty normal. But the second one, oh the second one. AidaIro are really famous for doing this kind of things. In every chapter they left a clue that at first sight you may not pay attention because it may seem not important at all. But when you are reading the manga, and come back to read it again, you can see they predict the future of the manga ALL THE TIME. Just as I said in other post with chapter 23, they predict what was going to happen (in like 30 chapters after) in a funny way so you just read it without giving it too much attention. (They are good players...)
The second time the paint brush plays with Hanako's face, it writes something in it (Mei knows some good sh*t here... Maybe all of the old misteries know. Why Tsuchigomori, the one who knows everything that had happened here... doesn't say anything? or do anything? He should appear more, god) and that something is the word BURAKON. This will also make clear the "Antares theory" of this manga that Italiantea* had said before. It also happens in this arc too, like 3 chapters before of it. Scorpius can only be seen in July 7th, the day of Tanabata, the day were Yashiro and Little Amane met...
I think is interesting how Amane keeps repeating his own plan "I'm not going anywhere". And everytime he say it the f*cking moon is on his back. His twin, is on his back. He is not going anywhere because his brother is no more... there?
Why? Is because he is no one without his brother? He can't shine? He can't exist without him? That might be the reason he died in the first place? What is sure is that both of them need to be together. Maybe we will have the answer soon (and then for sure I'll write another long post...).
Oh and btw, the similarities between the brothers of this manga? And by that I mean the Yugi twins and the Minamoto brothers. Amane/Teru. One is older, calm, pretty good at everything he tries to do, reliable in every matter, seems sweet but is actually a psycho... (okay well, maybe only when they are angry, but they are.)
And the other one, (Tsukasa/Kou) small, left behind, a shadow of his brother, not that smart, want his brother to recognize him, childlish but actually brave and dangerous when the situation requires them. (They have the same fangs c'mon!)
God, the brother issues are so strong in this manga...
I'll leave the definition of "Burakon" here, so make your own conclusions.
And thank you for reading!
ブラコン
Burakon Definition NOUN (COMMON) (FUTSUUMEISHI)
Brother complex Unnatural and excesive attachment to one's brother

Ok AidaIro, I know we're still at the whole severance thingy going on but, there's 2 main things I really, really want to happen in the manga If it won't end too soon god I hope it doesn't .
1. More in depth about Sakura and Tsukasa's relationship and interactions, maybe a whole arc about it👀 (I proly ask too much but still). These two are like the second biggest mystery that I don't get about, besides the basic idea of master and assistant. Like how did they meet, why did they meet? What kind of deal they have? And what goals does Sakura have? And so on. (So far I only know that Sakura helped Tsukasa "escape" from his old boundary, hmm 🤔)
2. MORE FRICKIN' SHIJIMA MEI CONTENT!!!!
Everyone forgot about one of the best gurl in the manga!! 😭 She also made a deal with Tsukasa so.... she's still in debt to him, I consider her pretty fucking important still even if everyone seems to have left her behind 😔

The 7 Mysteries Analysis
🚨JSHK SPOILERS!!!🚨
In the Hell of Mirrors arc, Tsuchigomori mentions that each of the 7 mysteries governs a certain aspect of the school:
Tumblr media
Now that we have (kind of) met #6, I thought it would be interesting to examine the 7 mysteries powers and what they control in the school!
The mysteries that are in purple are the ones whose yorishiros have been destroyed, meaning they are technically not part of the 7 mysteries anymore. Pink is pure theory at this point.
Disclaimer: We don't know everything about the 7 mysteries yet so some of this is speculation!
No. 1- Time
Kako- Controls the past, can rewind time for students or the school.
Mirai- Controls the future, can turn time forward for students or the school.
Aoi Akane- Human assistant to the clock keepers, controls the present. He can stop time for up to 15 minutes per day with his watch.
Yorishiro- This one is tricky- do they each have a yorishiro or do they share one?
Boundary- ? Maybe if Hanako-kun wasn't such a perv we would know
Rumor- There are three clock keepers that control the past, present, and future of the school with a big clock. If you touch the clock without their permission, they will steal all your time.
Tumblr media
No. 2- Space
Yako- The stairs in Yako's boundary can take you anywhere in the school-including other mystery's boundaries. She can also bring dolls to 'life'.
Yorishiro- The scissors Misaki gave her
Boundary- The Misaki Stairs
Rumor- If you step on the 4th stair of Staircase B in the old building, you will be taken to the far shore and torn to pieces.
Tumblr media
No. 3- Memories
Bird Guy Mitsuba Souske- He can see anything that has ever happend in the school (if it happend in front of a mirror).
Yorishiro- The ceiling of the boundary (why tho)
Boundary- The Hell of Mirrors, located inside the mirrors of the school
Real Life- Mitsuba Souske died in an accident(?) his second year of middle school. He was in the photography club.
Rumor- If you look into a mirror at the school, it could suck you into The Hell of Mirrors. The hell of mirrors reflects your hearts deepest regrets and darkness, and will use these things to attack you to try to swap places with you on the near shore.
Tumblr media
No. 4- Reality/Fiction(?)
Shijima Mei- The only explanation of what Mei controls is Sakura saying she "creates worlds based on peoples wishes/desires in their heart." That sounds dangerously close to Hanako's territory? Based on the fact that she creates fictional worlds that can trap students, I believe she controls what is real vs not real.
Yorishiro- Sketchbook
Boundary- the art room
Real Life- Shijima Mei was a student at the academy in the 80s. She loved art and her family supported her in pursuing it, but she got sick and had to stay in the hospital for a prolonged time. She continued to work on her art there and submitted her final drawing to a student art show.
Rumor- A girl who loved art but wasn't allowed to pursue it killed herself and now haunts the art room. She can trap you in a fake world that she paints and make you do whatever she wants.
Tumblr media
No. 5- Records
Tsuchigomori- Can read the lives of the students at the school from the time they enter to the time they graduate.
Yorishiro- Amane's moon rock
Boundary- The 4 O'Clock Library (accessed through the library)
Rumor- If you go to the library at 4pm, a special room will open that has books with the names of every student who has ever attended the school in it. The books tell you everything that a student has done or will do at the school. Black books are students that have died, white books are living students, and red ones, the ones that are forbidden to read, tell you the future.
Tumblr media
No. 6- Life/Death
Shinigami- He can kill things or bring them back to life just by touching them.
Yorishiro- Akane Sumire
Boundary- It is unclear how you get to no. 6's boundary, but it is located under the school.
Rumor- If you hear the sound of a flute playing, it means the reaper is coming to collect your soul to sacrafice you to hungry spirits/the gods.
Tumblr media
No. 7- Wishes(?)
Hanako (Yugi Amane)- Hanako grants wishes for humans in exchange for a price (but I think he does more than just that). He is also the leader of the 7 mysteries. He can only be summoned by people with supernatural powers or people who are close to the far shore. He is the third Hanako Kamome Academy has had.
Yorishiro- based on Sumire being no. 6's human yorishiro with a black/red seal, I think it is safe to assume at this point that Hanako's yorishiro is Tsukasa.
Boundary- Hanako's boundary either is the 3rd floor girl's bathroom in the old building or you reach it through the bathroom.
Real Life- We dont know much about Amane's life yet other than he went to Kamome Academy, died his second year of middle school in 1969, and killed his younger twin brother.
Rumor- Hanako-san of the toilet is the ghost of a girl who haunts the girls bathroom. If you go to the old building's third floor bathroom and knock on the door of the third stall 3 times, a girl with a bob haircut and red skirt will grant one of your wishes in exchange for something you care about.
Tumblr media
No. 8
OKAY OKAY OKAY- i know theres no OFFICAL no. 8 yet, but I think Yashiro will still die and Hanako will make her no. 8 to keep her on the near shore or Tsukasa will grant her wish to stay at the school. She may come back to life with the help of the 7 mysteries powers, but there are just too many clues that point to this- her name having the kanji for '8' in it, the first season OP mentioning an 8th mystery, the fact that she is fated to die, her skull brooch, etc. If this does happen, I hope she gets to control love/romance, I think our girl would enjoy that at least. 🥺

this was totally something no one asked for but... alternative scenario to that one scene in the pp arc! let's do this ─=≡Σ(╯°□°)╯︵┻┻
also I wrote this in a sleep induced state so I apologize for any errors lmao
"Dear Hanako-san, Hanako-san... Won't you please grant me my wish?"
Small hands gripped his own tightly, yet lovingly, and ruby eyes looked back at him in a way that made him swear he felt his heart beat back to life a little. Her form illuminated by the shine of the moon, smiling right at him.
She simply looked so... beautiful.
"Um... Is that no good?" Nene meekly asked. He continued to stare right at her with wide eyes, looking at their hands together, and then back at her.
"You know..." He began, his own voice taking a softer tone. "It's hard for me to say no... if you... ask like that."
It was never easy to turn you down in the first place, anyway.
"I guess... It can't be helped."
A gentle smile, his eyes looking right at her with adoration.
"Okay, then."
Only for you.
"Hanako-kun!" She could only exclaim with a wide smile. He gave a little chuckle in return.
He was willing to even cooperate with his brother just to give Nene a chance to live without the worry of death, but now...
"How can you just tell someone... they're going to die?"
"I don't get what you're thinking at all..."
She had cried, and it was at that time he thought he would never be able to brush away her tears like he always did.
It didn't feel right.
"Alright then, Yashiro." He placed both his hands on her shoulders, surprising her. "Close your eyes."
"Huh? O-okay..." She muttered. Her heart began to race when she saw him leaning closer towards her.
Wait... Is he...!!
Her eyes fluttered shut, and she tried her best to steady her erratic heartbeat. She could feel his hands trembling a bit, his breath getting nearer.
If somewhere around the past, Nene had always anticipated a kiss that felt like something out of a fairytale, it would have been a fantasy she would be ecstatic to look forward to.
Right now, however, this one felt much more better than a fairytale kiss.
He pulled away, and the two of them looked at each other, dazed. Without even missing a beat, they both returned for a second kiss, more longer than the first.
It felt like time went on a standstill for a mere second.
Finally, they pulled away once more, although a bit hesitant. Nene blinked a few times, while Hanako just stared at her, trying to catch his own breath.
"Yashiro..." He quietly mumbled her name, pressing his forehead against hers, taking in the sight in front of him. She shyly smiled, the red slowly creeping up her cheeks.
Simply gorgeous.
"Now then," Hanako cleared his throat, picking themselves back up to their feet. "You ready?"
Nene nodded. "Of course!"
He lightly chuckled once more, looking over her shoulder down below. The flying carriage Kou, Mitsuba and Shijima were on came into view, just in the right spot.
"I'll see you soon, Yashiro." Were the last words he whispered to her before completely letting his grip go loose from Nene.
She'd probably try to nag on him again when this was all over, but he found himself not really minding that one bit.
"Only for you."

I was tagged by @tiucozionale Thank you, Sweetie!!
Rules: Pick three fandoms, answer the questions and tag 10 people
My Chosen Fandoms:
-Persona
-Devil Survivor
-Tales Of (I’ve only played Zestiria and Abyss, so I’ll include both of them)
The First Character You Loved:
-Yosuke Hanamura, despite Persona 3 being the first game I played in the series, Yosuke was the first character that I completely adored. I don’t really wanna go into details, so I’ll just say that I wasn’t exactly doing great when I first played Persona 4 and Yosuke is a very special character for me.
-Atsuro Kihara, chances are, when I play a game, I will completely fall in love with the best friend character, aaaaand yep, the same can be said for Atsuro! I love this lil dork.
-Sorey & Mikleo, I’m sorry I’ve gotta put both. If I’m being completely honest, the main reason I chose Zestiria as my first Tales of game is because I saw so many people talking about Sorey and Mikleo, and I wanted to see why they were so popular. The moment I started playing, I understood why.
The Character You Never Expected To Love So Much:
-Goro Akechi, I think the main reason I didn’t expect to like him was ‘cause he was called the ‘detective prince’ and in my mind at the time, I was like ‘There’s only one detective prince, and their name is Naoto Shirogane, thank you very much’ but then I played more and I just ended up liking him more and more. I love how complex he is, and he’s just so overdramatic, I love it, especially his all out attack.
-Joe, when he first appeared he just seemed like some random, slightly creepy guy... Turned out he was one of the funniest characters in the entire game, plus his final few Fate Events actually made me cry. So, it was nice to have a comedic character that had quite a bit of depth.
-Luke Fon Fabre, I actually despised him at the beginning of the game, he was just really bratty, stupid, naive and just plain rude, then it got to Akzeriuth which finally made him realise his faults, and then, throughout the rest of game, he had some of the best character development I have ever seen, and by the end of the game, I adored him.
The Character You Relate To The Most:
-Yosuke Hanamura, it’s mostly the stuff his shadow said that I relate to, but it’s also how he’s a goofy character but he also has quite a few problems that he keeps to himself.
-Daichi Shijima, yeah, for Daichi, it’s basically for the exact same reasons as Yosuke (And I’d just like to throw it out there that I adore Daichi)
-Edna, the main reason I relate to Edna is ‘cause of her sarcasm. Like, the comments she makes whenever anything happens and how she treats Meebo ‘cause it reminds me of my relationship with one of my friends.
The Character You’d Slap:
-Nyarthlotep, however the fuck you spell his name, I don’t care, he did everything wrong and made every single character I love suffer
-Yamato Hotsuin, the dude really needs to chill out, I’m just sayin’
-Van Grants, he knows what he did
Three Favourite Characters (In Order Of Preference):
-Yosuke Hanamura, Yusuke Kitagawa, Jun Kurosu
-Daichi Shijima, Atsuro Kihara, Jungo Torii
-Luke Fon Fabre, Sorey&Mikleo, Guy Cecil
A Character You Liked At First, But Don’t Anymore:
-Makoto Niijima, I think the main reason I liked her at first was ‘cause my friend was constantly telling me how much they love Makoto and how much I’d love her, but during my second playthrough, I realised that I found her kinda boring? Plus, I didn’t enjoy her Confidant at all... Also, the arc where she joins the group is probably my least favourite... But, I will definitely admit that she is ridiculously useful in battle.
-Airi Ban, I found her really cute at first, but as the game continued her tsundere moments just became less cute and more annoying, plus she was just really rude to some of the other characters
-Anise Tatlin, Kinda like Airi, she started off cute but became kinda annoying to me... And, I know there’s a good reason for it, but her ‘I want lots of money’ schtick got really old after a while...
Three OTPs:
-Yu/Yosuke (What a shock), Ren/Yusuke, Tatsuya/Jun
-Kazuya/Atsuro, Hibiki/Daichi, Jungo/Airi
-Sorey/Mikleo, Luke/Tear, Alisha/Rose
I tag: @blazeturbo102 @grgwshngturnt @ren-amamiyaa
Yeah, I can’t really think of anyone else to tag, soooo, yeah. If you don’t wanna do it, you don’t have to.
