Who am I?

I'm 23. Cool with she/her and they/them pronouns. Ace. Bi/aromantic. Currently in the US but really I wish I weren't. I love to edit - videos, photos, anything - and I love analyzing fiction. Um ... yeah, I think that's all you need to know about me, so onto the good stuff!

I let anyone repost, reuse, or remake any of my edits on any platform just as long as you credit me (@alegacyofmonsters on everything except Twitter who thinks my username is ungodly long) and don't crop or edit out my watermark.

My favorite characters are Lizzie Saltzman, Whitney Chase, Calliope Burns, Abby Littman, Hope Mikaelson, Leighton Murray, Wednesday Addams, and Tabby Haworthe.

There's not much on I don't ship but I very much enjoy Calliette, Hizzie, Avatrice, Stellatrix, Wenclair, Leightum, Handon, Nace, and Posie.

The only ships I don't feel comfortable with being portrayed in a romantic/positive light are ships like Hosie/Weyler, Sizzie/Homan, any Teacher x Student, or any incest ships. If that's your cup of tea, all I ask is that you don't bring it here!

What am I anti?

I am strongly anti-ableism. In the show, under my posts, anywhere. If you're being purposely ableist, it's gonna be a problem.

I'm anti-homophobia. That includes bi/panphobia and, yes, includes against fictional characters and people you don't like. It also includes calling ships "homophobic" just because you don't ship it. It also includes calling canon sapphic ships "just best friends" or "sisters." Don't do it.

AUs/Fics:

And I think it goes without saying, but if you bring racism, sexism, fatphobia (or any body-shaming), romanticizing abuse, or aporophobia here, it's also gonna be a problem.

I'm not sharing any endgames or spoilers for AUs, so if you're reading solely for your endgame ship, please don't read. My stories are always more plot than ship, so those seeking only romance will find themselves disappointed!

You can find my AUs as fics on Ao3 and Wattpad (same username as here). They're usually under the same title and with a similar plot (with the exception of Villain Hope who got upgraded to "Dark Side" and has a remodeled story). I also have some free standing fics over there.

Legacies Opinions 2x14: The Many Faces of Jo

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!

Hello, my lovely readers!

Well, right now we’re in the middle of a pandemic, so I hope this gives you something else to think about for a couple of minutes.

In this edition of Legacies Opinions we present some thoughts of filler episode (not always a bad things) ships and the future of the season...

First off, I want to say that for me this was a filler episode for the most part. It gave us a really good FanFic AU version of Leg which I thought was a lot of fun and it was really nice to finally see MG get some freakin’ air time this season! Yay! He deserves it.

In this epi. we saw Dr. Vardemus’ Box of Build Your Own Narratives. (Don’t we all wish we owned one? And on one make that into a dirty joke! *Finger wag*) This box led us and the characters: Emma, Hope, Josie, Lizzie, MG, Rafael, Jade and Dr. V into a film noir AU. While the costumes might have had a certain re-mix with current fashions I still think they managed to make us feel like we were seeing a genuine film noir spoof. Yes, I said spoof! Come on, you can’t take any of this seriously, even when the characters are getting poisoned and shot. Ah, they’re dropping like flies while MG tries to figure out who the killer is which anyone who watched the clips for this epi, already knew it was Jo...but which one!

Yes, there are two Jos! Or are there four! Or is there only one, pretending to be two people! Agh, doppelgangers and we thought that was done in TO. As if turns out there are multiple Jos. There is Jo in the “real” world. There is Good Jo in the film noir land. There is Dark Jo in film noir land. And Dark Jo is a real ruthless B. I mean, she shot Good Jo! Spoiler! And she also poisoned a bunch of other people, just not Raf. He got a pass because he’s been AWOL for so long...maybe. Everyone else, well, you’re screaming at the TV “Don’t take that drink, you fool! She’s on the side of the wall! She’s pointing a gun at you, Lizzie! Never mind, you can see that! What am I screaming!”

And in the middle of all this chaos, we have possible love stories erupting.

Jasie: I suppose you could call them canon at this point. Sorry. I’m still not shipping them. But I will not anti-them either. I just miss Penelope! Blah! *Weeping in a corner!* Anyway, Jade admitted she’s into Jo in the “real” world, but with Dark Jo rising, literally, not sure where they’re going with that. Dark Jo does not seem to be into anyone.

Mizzie: Mizzie shippers finally had a good night. While I’m sad that we got to see anything to do with Mizzie because of Sebastian’s sudden exit, I was happy to finally see Mizzie in action, again, even if it was very friendship-y, rather than ship-ship-y. They have a lot of great moments in the film noir world and in the “real” world.

Handon: As I said before, fellow Handon fans, I think we’re facing stormy weather and roller coaster and a million other metaphors for rocky relationship status. We’ll just have to tune in to find out what happens there.

Haphael: Haphael rises again, although, like Mizzie, it was mostly friendship. Possibly all friendship. And we really don’t know what’s going on with Raf with his finding The Necromancer taunting him in the film noir world.

Hizzie: Again, Hizzie fans have something to celebrate when Hope chose Lizzie over Jo, depending on how you read the film noir. If nothing else, Hope saved Lizzie over running off to find Landon.

Emma and Ric: It seems that anyone who was shipping Emma and Ric can watch Emma ride off into the sunset with Dorian and we may not see Emma again, or Dorian. Hopefully, we will...

So, we’ve got a billion things that are going to happen before the end of the season which looks like it might really be twenty epis...or more...wishful thinking...
