soft hums to a familiar tune accompanied the busy woman who was going about chopping away at the vegetable and meats she needed for her stew tonight. cooking wasn't something she often did with how busy the both of them have gotten with the semesters. usually finals period meant mugging in the library till late hours with cheap instant meals from convenient stores but she thought she needed this for both of their sanity. she had seen the dark circles and eye bags growing under wesley's eyes and to say that they have been a concern of hers was an understatement. gentle hands picked up the ingredients, placing them one by one into the pot of water as it continued to boil. the femme keeping a close watch on the stove as it did while the rice cooker let out a soft 'ding!' to let her know that it was done, just in time too as she heard the sound of their apartment door opening. "i made dinner. do you want to grab a bite before we head back to the library?" she asked, taking a small sip to make sure everything was well seasoned. "i could leave some for tomorrow morning too if you like? i know you have a paper in the morning." she offers the male a smile. hands switching the stove off before she wrapped the other in a tight embrace, only pulling away when she had to. "breakfast helps the brain. i promise."
