Emily Watches ‘Pretty Little Liars’: S03E07 Crazy
In this episode shady Nate is back to bother Emily, shady Jason is causing drama between Spenser & Toby and Aria & Hanna find out Mona may actually be trying to help them, lets dive in!
This episode we’re introduced to the creepy Ally double, she looks so similar I was so close to Googling to make sure it wasn’t but it isn’t, I think. I can’t say I like her, but I also don’t like Allison’s personality and this girl is the embodiment of that so it’s not surprising at all. She does a not great thing with the Jenna/Nate so now Emily feels bad and I feel ??? I still think he’s up to something because inevitably they all are. Emily’s plot line has been mostly solo from the others so far this season, I don’t know how I feel about that.  Shady Nate however did something worse than be sad and/or super shady this episode, he honestly said to a lesbian (although we apparently can’t use the word, c’mon show, you can do this) he wouldn’t be going on a date with another girl if she was into men. Are you serious Nate? At no point has any of this been anything but platonic and he knew about this already, what a weird thing to say. I’ve not only got my eye on him, I’ve got my fist if need be.
Ella goes on a date and the second she said it I knew it was with the pastor guy, I promise it’s written down in my notes which again, this show’s small things come out within the episode so I never look clever and I’ll never guess who A is, that’s a case for the FBI or Spencer, not me. So anyone the date goes “fine” which to me says nope, don’t go back there. Not that I think she will, just so we’re clear. Ted is making his way around the women of Rosewood so I’m thinking he’s a serial killer because this is a no trust zone.  But we’re going to need to talk about the new guy she ended up on a date with, now I know this is previous bias but he was on another TV show I watch called The 100 and he was fired... for being super racist on Twitter so I can’t ship it and I can’t even really look at him to be fair. I know this was before The 100 and before everything came out but eugh no thank you. Plus IMDb tells me he’s in more episodes so I have that to look forward to. I’ll be calling him not-Wick or racist-twitter-guy just so we’re clear. In my notes I called this The Worst Thing which I think is fair, along with Nate being rude to Emily earlier.
Spencer doesn’t have the most interesting plot line going on this episode, I honestly though Toby was going to break up with her again at one point. I’m actually surprised any of them have relationships to be fair. She is however a very good detective and I’m signing her up for the FBI first chance I get, for real. If Stiles gets to then why can’t Spencer? I wonder what Spencer wants to do when she “grows up”? Maybe just live a quiet life.
And finally, would you like to play a game? Mona is jigsaw, confirmed. But for real, the whole scene with Hanna and Aria in the mental asylum with Mona running about loose was kinda terrifying. I like how she managed to slip away when they were having an intense storytelling session, as if you’d stare at your friend whilst recounting a story like that, I don’t think that’s a thing. Once Mona gets downstairs, and I don’t know why she even goes down there if she’s being recorded via a doll, she starts her secret messages which are actually super helpful? I’m shocked. Mona is helping us out now? What a treat. I could have sworn she said another riddle than the ones they worked out so I went back and she did...
Quote of the episode goes to Mona “Miss Aria, you’re a killer, not Ezra’s wife.” whoa.
On to the next episode!
