Have a captain’s saloon. From Wavertree, that operated as a merchant vessel from 1885-1910.
#on a merchant vessel…always decidedly cushier than whalers#every time I go into the focsle on a merchant ship I’m like U GUYS GOT A TABLE??#when I used to teach kids here I’d spend all this time talking about the work and the living condition in the focsle for the sailors#and then I’d take them back here to get them all riled up about class
