Many people are unaware that some chickens, when exposed to direct sunlight, become puddles:
There is no reason to be alarmed, as this process is 100% reversible. Indeed, most chickens will return to their solid form within a few minutes of melting, without any external assistance.
Don't worry if you were unaware of this. Even chickens who are not currently puddles are often confused by these encounters:
2 week old olive egger (Olive) saying hello to my (about) 2 month old turkeys and barred rocks. Hopefully next week the olive eggers are big enough to not slip out of our dog crate so they can start getting to know one another safely, hoping to house them together eventually. It'll also be nice for my barred rock hens to have 4 more ladies instead of just the 3 with of them with their spunky rooster
Your Pumpkin looks just like a chicken I had when I was a kid called Porridge!! What breeds is she, if I may ask? I know she’s half silkie, but what’s the other half? We never knew what Porridge was made up of so I’d be really interested to know!
(This is porridge for reference btw)
She is so beautiful!!! What a good lookin chimkin! Pumpkin is half silkie half Easter egger. This is her mom and dad.
