OK KO deserved so much more then the disrespect it got over the years. A great show that was taken before it’s time and the company can care less about it and the feelings of us the fans. I still think about what could have been with the plan Hue Troop spin-off.

My mind can't even begin to comprehend the epicness we would have received if Hue Troop got to happen. Something in me would be altered, even if slightly, if I got the chance to experience this series and that's one of the things I hate about situations like this. It creates so many "what if" and "never will be" scenarios. We'll never know what this could have been and we'll never know what this could have inspired. Dreams and ideas just constantly cut short.

one of the things iv noticed about ok ko that i love a lot is how u get the feeling that the world is so so so rich and full of stories, like every character has their own adventure to go on and their own lives to live... like, everything from the RMS and brandon episode to the fact that there are canonically (possibly thousands of) alien planets full of unique creatures... shy ninja and vormulax, colewort and potato, the danger zone, KO's classmates, combo breaker, the wide variety different heroes on the pow cards- hell, if we take the crossover episodes as canon both sonic the hedgehog and captain planet exist in the ok ko universe doing their own thing seperate from the main characters, equally important... everything just has so much detail that really gives the idea that every character is the main character of their own individual story, and their world is rich with so much potential

and each of the side stories has its own tone like how rms and brandon is a rom-com and red action & the hue troop is a futuristic superhero drama. i love it

here’s a little art dump from my last sketchbook :)

the first one is my lil persona dude, me with a snake tale (my kin hahahah), fangs and pointy ears. that day in particular i was so tired i was falling asleep while standing in chorus (something my instructor makes fun of her brother for doing.)

the next one’s my main oc Nova with her wand, just kinda vibing.

then there’s a venomous. i drew him since i haven’t in a second and i wanted to try out sassier poses. needless to say i’m still proud like the lEGS

then there’s the hue troop mahou shojō team! the text says “All the Colors Combined!: The Hue Troop!” i had a good few days of my life where i drew the hue troop as anime characters (hence my last art post) and i’m still proud of all my green guts art from those solid couple of days fhjsisl

then there’s a voxman drawing! I was really inspired by aceh0lez and tartsy on insta to draw cartoony yet shaded and thus it was b i r t h e d ! i’m not the proudest of venomous, but i’m very proud of the sparkles!

then the venomous. this was a shading and lighting practice, and i wanted to draw a realistically proportioned bust with cartoony features and thus it was created. i’m still proud of him :]

then some more Nova! this time promo art!! i was very inspired by old anime stills (minky momo’s ED is a very big inspo for this piece in particular.) the text says “Magical Galactic Princess Nova” and the little creature i concerted in maths! I am VERY unskilled at drawing any non-humanoid other than ponies so i’m vERY PROUD

and finally the last pic. i used OC and color generators for her. the prompt is at the top of the drawing :)
