Arati watches “The Princess Switch: Switched Again”

Okay this is high anticipation because we are obsessed with Netflix Christmas movies and we watched princess switch last year while I was flu ridden and I genuinely can’t wait for this next set of shenanigans

I genuinely cannot stand when “cute lil kids” are trying to get two adults together. Like hello infant you do not understand the complexities of adult relationships and breakups so perhaps your cute ideas about how we should be left alone to make hot chocolate together is not as clever and useful as you think it is.

Okay quite frankly I am so proud of Vanessa Hudgens, she has truly found her nice and it is cheesy Netflix Christmas romcoms and LOOK at her playing THREE roles in this!! Casual and kind Stacy, stately and fun Margaret, fabulous and trashy Fiona!!

Like Vanessa-Hudgens-as-Stacy still reminds me of HSM, Vanessa-Hudgens-as-Margaret is hot, but Vanessa-Hudgens-as-Fiona is doing it ™ for me!! I’m feeling masc tonight and this bratty high femme is my type??

Okay please explain why they decided to include a literal 10 year old child in their big switcharoo plans but not Prince Edward, the literal prince and also the literal husband of one of the people doing the switching??? I do love the trope of some useless henchppl and Reggie and Mindy are fulfilling it perfectly.

Oh thank GOD Margaret has come clean to Edward. Finally some transparency in this convolution! I’m actually secretly thrilled here becuase honest communication seems to be literally something a Netflix movie exec has never fucking heard of. I’m genuinely impressed that most people in the movie’s cast know what’s going on already at this point in the film.

“Off with their heads!!!!” Vanessa Hudgens is having the time of her life playing this insane triple role and I say good for her! Eat ur heart out Zac Efron.

I’m a little annoyed that Antonio is the one to figure her out; he’s like the human version of a swimming pool noodle. Oh of COURSE he wants to be part of the scheme. I never trusted this man! This why is we should never go after white boys ladies gaydies and theydies!

Okay this is the coolest Stacy has eeeeverrrr been and also somehow this movie turned into a James Bond thriller? Good 4 them. Minus this cheesy terrible fake punch that Edward just landed on Reggie? Please friends, this was scene was going so well.

Yesssss gooodddd please reassure Edward he has been having the worst night of his life.

Folks! This movie is about feminism! Margaret is confident and believes in herself and is ready to rule ˘◡˘ I’m honestly so proud. Even Fiona is proud! Oh it’s a movie about Christmas and family too.

Oh Frank, falling for this. “Poor poor girl” he says about Fiona. I get it, Frank! I too am swayed by hot ladies!

It’s feminism when the girl chases the guy to the airport and then is the one to propose.

Every couple is having good normal healthy convos! Wow. Someone on the writing staff went to relationship counseling between this and the last movie!

Oh! A lil cameo from The Royal Wedding!

Wow this movie really thought about Representation. I saw a lil gay couple dancing and a Black woman with literally four lines total and one (1) indian woman in a sari at the coronation. Honestly social justice is over folks, this movie ended oppression.

Omg fuck yah there’s gonna be a Princess Switch 3 coming out next year! Death to the monarchy and all that, see y’all next time xoxo.
