I’m calling it The Cluster or just Cluster. It’s a humanoid creature that wanders near geodes and exists. It’s neutral and only becomes aggressive when someone harvests the amethyst growths on its body. It’s aggressive until the amethyst clusters have regrown. It speeds up the crystal growth by “consuming” other life forms.

It’s believed to be the unfortunate bodies of victims who fell to the crystal curse and now roam the caves until the clusters get so big they just stop moving and turn into giant statues.

When they walk, they sound like chimes, and their whispers are like bells in the wind, haunting and ringing. Is it the last remnants of the host trying to speak or is the amethyst crystals themselves sentient?
