So I decided to draw Tanner a bit older. Also revamped another Monster High oc, Liam O'Neil, into someone different. The character is now a transwoman instead and her name is gonna be Lydia O'Neil.

So, I'd actually toyed with the idea of Lydia being able to breath Pandora air. In my idea, it would happen at the tree of souls, where the root fibers went into Graces brain. Instead, they go into the lungs and biology stuff happens lol it would be a long and slow process of acclimation and biological altering, but yeah

I remember your post about this a while ago but if you ever did plan on having WMITS expand toward the plot of Avatar 2: Way of Water, how would your version of Ronal react to Lydia?

Personality I can see them becoming somewhat besties with the anger toward Jake if Ronal can ever ignore Lydia being a sky person. 💀

I have definitely thought about writing a sequel-thing to WMITS following A2! 

I know for a fact that if Ronal reacted that negatively to Jake’s kids having “demon” blood, I can’t see her reacting well to Lydia. I think after maybe a long time of actually being around Lydia and seeing how Lydia cares for her family, she might be more willing to give her a chance.

When I watched A2 and Jake was saying the Metkayina needed to tell the Tulkun to leave instead of trying to find a way to stop it, and Ronal got mad at him, I think Lydia would be too (like suggesting the Tulkun also leave bc /that/ worked so well for you Jake). 

Also lbr seeing Ronal be rude to Neytiri would be such a major turn off for Lydia. Maybe one day they could get along, but it would take a very, very long time. 

what things did you imagine happening with lydia in the second movie?? i would love to know !

Sorry this took so long to answer, there’s....a lot.

Firstly, I can’t stop thinking about the connection Lydia would have to Kiri, due to them being cousins. I think Lydia would want to raise Kiri herself, which would be a massive canon divergence, but it’s not like I’m not doing that in WMITS...

I honestly don’t really know how I would incorporate Lydia and Tsu’tey into the Metkayina story line. I mean there’s ideas but I think Tsu’tey would be even less likely to want to leave the Omatikaya than Neytiri was. (However what a power duo he and Tonowari would be).

Lydia would be extremely curious, but she’d also be in her 40′s so she’d be way more reserved. I can’t imagine there wouldn’t be some issue with her being there, given the way Ronal initially treats the family.

So interesting lil detail. Realized a woman in the Bible, Lydia, was known for being a fabric-maker/dyer, so it's kinda interesting I made Lydia in my fic work with the weavers a lot

Can I tell you how much I love your fanfic? All the Na'Vi ones I read always seem to give the OC an avatar/dreamwalker body. As soon as I read your fanfic and saw Lydia is learning with only her real body, my brain just latched onto it.

Oh wow thank you sm!!! When I was first considering writing, my main inspiration was having a character that didn’t have an avatar, because I really wanted to explore what it would be like to live on Pandora as just a human! Plus, what if aliens showed up here and instead of just showing as themselves, they started building cloned bodies of us for them to use remotely, but the bodies just never....looked right? Too many fingers, or too few, hair in weird places, weirdly proportioned faces...I think I would much rather interact with them as they are, not while they’re piloting a pretend version of a human. 

So I’m definitely glad it’s had the impact that it has, it means a lot that people feel the same way about the idea that I do!!

And lmao sameee. In this chapter, while she won’t be hitting him (probably), she is really gonna tear into him verbally. And she doesn’t have any plans to immediately forgive him in future chapters either. 

Ahhh! Can we get a little insight of what tsu’tey was thinking when he first met Lydia?

Oohh yes! Here's what happened:

He'd spotted evidence of someone running through the forest and had decided to follow to see what had happened, since as he remarks, she left a clear trail (bc she thought she was running for her life lol).

So he comes across her when she's climbing the tree, and while he initially thinks of shooting her, he decides to just sort of watch this disaster unfold. He was still thinking of what exactly to do when the atokirina appeared, and her curiosity and fascination towards them made his decision.

Appearance wise, he admittedly thought she was a little pathetic. She could barely climb, was clearly lost, and a human where she wasn't supposed to be. He didn't even begin to find her attractive until much later.

He basically was thinking he'd found a walking disaster that he now had to babysit. She was a burden until she wasn't and he actually found her presence enjoyable.

I think at the very beginning it was "I should've left you on that corner where you were standing" "butcha DIDNT"

Yes, she can! She enjoys drawing things on Pandora. It’s therapeutic for her, and it helps her absorb information. That, and she thinks it’s important to record how things look to her! She knows her observations and opinions could always be read as biased in some way, so recording how she sees things will aid in forming an understanding of Pandoran life :] 

🌠  if they could make any wish with no repercussions, what wish would they make? (Makoto)

She would wish for the full return of the Amazon rainforest. It was a haven for so many species, and she could’ve devoted her life to studying the insects and arachnids in it. Studying the bugs of Pandora is an amazing opportunity, but she’ll always wish for what she can’t have, and for what was lost. 

💗 if they have a crush, is it noticable? what changes when they're in love? (Tsu’tey) (I’m including him bc I can) 

When Tsu’tey has a crush, it’s not super noticeable...at least he thinks. It starts with a lot stolen glances, then spending time with them (he doesn’t usually have a lot of free time, so his time to spend with the person he cares about is precious) When he’s in love, he smiles more. He’s more willing to laugh and have fun; he’s also incredibly protective. He doesn’t want to lose someone he loves again. (He may also show the rare ~emotional vulnerability~)
