my dealer: got some straight gas 😛🔥🔥 this one is called "snow day" 😳 you'll be zonked out of your gourd 💯💯💯
me: yeah whatever man I don't feel shit
my girl: since you’re a novice, and have obviously never before tasted the sweet delights of nature’s most mischievous plant, we are going to do something a bit different
me: I am horrified at the prospect of playing these games with you, to be perfectly honest, Colonel

for the writing ask: crash and burn!! 💎, 🎁, 😛 (the whole dialogue between drake and lp about crashing and not being good at crashing)
💎 -  What was your favorite part?
This story took me back! Almost two years old now 😭
The inherent hilarity and ✨feels✨ of a story where Drake hides in a closet on his wedding day was the entire impetus for this fic being written! I really enjoyed exploring the future of Drake’s relationships; Fenton is a close friend (Gizmoduck and all), Gosalyn is his daughter and knows him all too well, and LP being confident in himself and their relationship.
🎁 -  Any writing advice for people who want to write something like this?
I don’t often write wedding related fic, and to my memory this is still the only one I’ve done! I think it just depends on what you want to focus on, apart of or including the wedding itself. I focused on the idea of pre-wedding jitters, and between DW and LP, the former is more likely to experience them. Weddings are often highly emotional events, so I think it’s a matter of balancing that inherent drama with keeping the characters in-character!
😛 -  “Well,” Launchpad begins, and there’s tenderness of boundless depth beneath his words. “I happen to know a thing or two about crashing.”
Launchpad is adept as ever at coaxing a smile onto Drake’s face. “Oh yeah?” he replies.  “And how’s this novice doing?”
I’ve mentioned before how much I genuinely respect and admire DT17′s version of Drake and Launchpad’s relationship, and this story was partly dedicated to that. There’s an equality to their relationship that DW91 really lacked, and it still kind of takes by breath away to see. Drake and Launchpad are each other’s strength, and when things are hard for one of them the other will be there to prop them up.
Launchpad’s silliness often lacks substance, or is considered a joke. I wanted to write a scene where that silliness is what gets through to Drake, and really serves as a vehicle for a more serious, important conversation. Basically, strengthening LP’s emotional intelligence
You can check out the fic here if you haven’t read it before! 😄

I have been wanting to go for a trek for quite some time now, but most of these plans ended up being just plans. I mentioned this to an office colleague who informed me that some of our office colleagues are avid trekkers. I took my chances and requested them to include me in the next trip and they agreed.
What I had expected was a mediocre trek as I am new to it, but they chose Harihar Fort. This 16th Century Maratha fort took my breath away, the difficulty of the trek for me was hard (Others don’t agree!! 😛 ..)
Being a novice I simply followed instructions of my friend Nakusa. (She appeared to have good trek experience, so not True!) We planned to leave first thing in the morning. We had our breakfast on the way.
Tumblr media
One thing I have always realized when big groups are involved you are bound to get late we should attempt to leave as soon as possible and assign group leaders for people coming from the same area.
I was ready at 6:00 and we moved by 7:00 our leader Pandu was running a bit late. If you are  traveling from different parts of  Mumbai this fort is very close to a very important holy place in India, Trimbakeshwar one of the Jyotirlingas in Nashik. The travel to reach this place on good traffic conditions is around 3 hours.
The best time to do this is the monsoon all the weather is pleasant most of this time but Sahayadri gets heavy rains which may increase the difficulty of the trek from medium to really hard. Nature has reclaimed a huge section of this fort hence it really difficult to locate it from the image shown below
Tumblr media
There is a small village close by, where you can leave your car, my suggestion avoid carrying any valuables with you as you will be leaving most of the stuff in your car. Also carrying lighter food items like chocolates, nuts and chips along with water helps as the trek will drain your energy.
Tumblr media
So we started walking towards the main trek we were welcomed by a spring that was flowing the waterfalls created by the recent monsoon drizzle. We crossed this small spring and the trek was officially started.
Tumblr media
I would also like to give a quick thanks to Kaustubh, Mandar and Vinod. Without Kaustubh I doubt I would have been able to climb a steep set of rocks and without Mandar and Vinod’s effort I don’t think I would have ever climbed down.
Tumblr media
From the base camp to the summit lies a flight of really steep stairs that gave me creeps the moment I saw them. I knew I am not coming back from that, so I decided to wait for everyone at the base camp and not take the trip up. I do regret not completing the trek, may be next time! I think 😛
Tumblr media
The next part is based on, as explained by Nakusa once we climb the stairs there is a pathway cut into the side of the hill for another 20 meters followed by another set of stairs that has the cliff on one side and the valley on another side (Phew! I am glad I did not continue my journey just from hearing this). You reach the summit once you climb this second set of stairs.

The pathway would be an amazing place to be in when it’s raining, almost like seeing a waterfall from a cave behind it or the peak when clouds pass through them.

Also, it would be good to carry a sports camera to capture the beauty of the trek and everything that comes with it. I really did like the images of the summit and the fort.

All I can do now is imagine walking through this landscape to see the world from the edge.
Let me know if this was helpful and hit like or re-share also, leave a comment if you plan to go to Harihar fort next time it rains.
