Cravings
You two found each other in UA, you were eating something sweet next to Tamaki, who was eating something salty. You noticed that what the other was eating fit into what you were tasting. You then tried something of Tamaki’s salty food and he immediately tasted it himself.
This was a few years ago
At this point, you two were already married and even expecting a baby!
Both of you were thrilled and Tamaki had already babyproofed the whole house. He even went to every doctors appointment with you and was extremely happy that everything was going smoothly so far.
The only thing he didn’t really like were your cravings.
Because of you two being soulmates he also tasted everything you ate so when you’re craving banana yogurt with pickles, he’ll know. And he doesn’t like it.
He was on a patrol with FatGum and kirishima when he noticed your weird cravings again.
He stopped for a second, trying to get used to whatever you’re eating now and shook his head
”something wrong Suneater?“ FatGum looked at him with a raised eyebrow
”(y/n) is eating something strange again...“
”what Are they eating this time?“ kirishima questioned, always curious about your weird cravings.
Tamaki closed his eyes for a second, focusing on the different tastes. When he opened his eyes again he just bluntly said ”pickles and strawberries... and, wait- what the hell-”
Confused, he pulled his phone out of his pocket and opened your chat
’Are you eating wood?‘
Not even 5 seconds later you answered with ’guilty ( ・∇・)‘
”they’re eating wood-”
”Wood?! They’re eating wood?!“ FatGum was as surprised as Tamaki, sure your cravings always were something else but wood? Wood isn’t even edible!
Tamaki texted you again
’why wood‘
’I don’t know. I just felt like chewing on woodchips today (￣▽￣)‘
”oh so you’re just casually chewing on woodchips... I didn’t even know we had those at home...“ Tamaki uttered, not noticing he said his thoughts out loud.
’Anyways I’d be happy if you’d eat something salty later ( ^ω^ )‘
”and now you want me to- god this is so weird...“
”what’s wrong Suneater?“ FatGum smirked, having listened to Tamaki’s mumbling
With a sigh, Tamaki responded ”pregnancies are scary...“
’Tama stop biting your lip you’re bleeding‘
”h-huh-”
Touching his lip, he noticed that he was really bleeding
’sorry I didn’t notice I was doing that-’
”I’m surprised you two aren’t mocking each other with weird food, me and my soulmate are doing that“ kirishima stated while shrugging, bringing Tamaki out of his thoughts
”i think they were doing that before we found each other... that would at least explain why they were always eating something of the exact opposite of what I was eating...“
In reality, neither of you were trying to mock the other. It was just a coincidence that you were always eating something sweet when he was eating something salty or the other way around.

It was a bit weird that you always knew what nervous tick he had
But it was good that you were reminding him to stop
Even though it was freaking him out a bit.

Running in the hallways
There was this unspoken rule not to run in the hallways. It was just everyone’s silent agreement not to run to make sure students don’t accidentally hurt each other by running into each other.
It was also a unspoken rule not to listen to Musik on both ears while being in the hallway.
Some people thought it was rude, others feared that someone wouldn’t notice something important.
Well, in class you always had your headphones around your neck, focusing on the lesson or quietly humming the melody of the song you listened to earlier.
Outside of class you either talked to your friends or listened to music, ignoring that ���rule‘.
Today was one of those days where you were listening to music in the hallways. Ignoring the fact that you’re a bit late for class and just swaying to your music.
Tamaki on the other hand was slightly panicking. He didn’t want to be late to class, that would be humiliating, right?
He was running in the hallway, clutching his bag to his chest and trying to dodge the few students that were left in the halls.
He ran past a few students, not seeing you silently dancing to your music. Once he noticed you in his way, it was too late.
His bag went flying, both of you were thrown off of your feet and onto the floor. Your headphones were lost somewhere behind you near his bag, having yanked your phone with them.
Tamaki was on top of you, eyes closed and keeping himself up with shakey arms, his knee between your legs and face dangerously close to yours.
’oh god I ran into someone I’m so sorry I should have looked where I was going-‘
His thoughts stopped when he opened his eyes and saw not only you staring at him, but also words forming on his wrist.
’oh wow he is really cute‘
His eyes widened, face and ears reddening. He immediately moved to get up, trying to ignore the loud pounding of his heart.
He wanted to apologise for running into you, hoping you wouldn’t be mad at him. But he was only able to stare at his wrist where those six words had formed.
You moved to sit up, holding your head and looking at your wrist.
Written there was ’oh god I ran into someone I’m so sorry I should have looked where I was going-‘ making you laugh slightly
”guess that’s one way to meet your soulmate huh“
Your voice startled Tamaki. He immediately began staring at you, realising that he not only ran into someone, but he ran into his soulmate.
”I-I’m so sorry I should have looked where I was going!“
”hey don’t worry about it! It’s not the way I imagined meeting my soulmate but it’s better than nothing“ you joked, shrugging.
When you two got up again, you moved to get your phone and headphones which went flying along with Tamaki’s bag when he ran into you.
You handed him his bag and put your headphones back around your neck, smiling warmly at him.
”I’m (l/n) (y/n). And you?“
”...A-Amajiki Tamaki...“
”well Tamaki, if you want to avoid being late to your class you should hurry“ you smirked when you saw his eyes widening, a small squeal leaving him
”I-I’ll see you after class, okay?“ with that said, he ran off again, rushing to his class and this time not running into someone.

Liar
You and Tamaki got to know each other when he transferred to your school. You and mirio had the same idea of going up to him and talk to him and you three have been inseparable since then.
You actually felt more close to Tamaki than to Mirio.
And when you started planning a surprise birthday party for Tamaki and had to lie to him, you found out why.
Tamaki noticed words appearing on his wrist when you said ”nothing is wrong, don’t worry about it“ to him.
Those exact words were on his wrist for a few hours, you didn’t notice though since he didn’t tell you about it.
The party was still surprising to him and he was really glad that you only had lied to him because of something like that.
You on the other hand noticed it when Tamaki caught a cold one day and lied to you about it.
He was visibly feeling unwell and after you had asked him how he was feeling since he was really pale, the words ‘I’m fine...‘ appeared on your wrist after he said them.
Your eyes widened at that, showing him your wrist and startling him. He das forgotten you were soulmates.
You two started dating shortly after that.
Both of you weren’t really fans of lying. It had no use anyway since the other would know if it was a lie. You two were open with each other.
But recently, Tamaki was keeping a secret from you.
Whenever you asked him about it he would dodge the question, change the topic or walk away from you, finding an excuse as to why he’s leaving. Those excuses mainly being something like ”I’ll go cook dinner” or ”I wanted to call Mirio...“
You were scared that he wanted to break up with you. Being soulmates didn’t mean you had to be together.
So you decided to corner him when he got home from work.
”Tamaki please talk to me...“ he noticed the desperate tone in your voice, averting his eyes to avoid looking at you in fear of telling you what was wrong.
He didn’t want to tell you, at least not yet.
Sighing, you stepped away from him.
”I guess it’s no use then huh...“
Tamaki looked at you, trying his best to keep quiet.
”please just... if you want to break up with me just tell me! Don’t try to ignore the problem and make it worse!“
Break up with you?
Tamaki’s eyes widened, realising that him keeping this secret made you think he wanted to break up.
”(y/n)-” he tried to talk to you now, but you were too far gone in that idea that you didn’t hear him.
”come on! Do it! If that would make you happier I wouldn’t mind!“
Those last words slowly appeared on his wrist.
”(y/n) please stop!“
”why should I if you’re too scared to tell me what’s wrong?!“
”because I’m trying to tell you-“ now his voice was getting desperate, but it fell on deaf ears.
”Tell me what?! That you want to break up? That I’m too clingy? That you found someone better? That you’re maybe cheating?!“
”NO! I’m trying to tell you to shut up!“ startled by his loud voice, you shut up, unable to look at him.
”(y/n)... please look at me...“ slowly, you complied.
What you saw made you tear up.
He had a small box in his hands, in this box was a ring with a (f/c) gem
”I... planned on doing this in a few days. I wanted to go out with you and then do this but... I don’t want our relationship to break over me not telling you what I’m planning...“ his hands were slightly shaking.
”(y/n) please, you know im not lying to you. I love you and... I’d like to take the next step if you’ll allow me to...“
When he got down on one knee in front of you, your eyes widened and you teared up even more, tears now spilling from your eyes.
”will you marry me?“
You nodded, immediately hugging him and saying ”yes“ over and over again.
After you had calmed down a bit, you immediately apologised for your behaviour earlier. Tamaki forgave you of course, the words on his wrist slowly disappearing again.
During the whole confrontation your wrist stayed normal, no words appearing and assuring you that he told you the truth the whole time.

Team
You and Tamaki had learned that you’re soulmates during a 2 vs 2 training fight in class
Both of you had immediately noticed that your quirks were way stronger that normal, making the fight really easy for both of you.
So after you graduated from UA, you and Tamaki always worked as a team.
Sure, there were missions were you two were separated. But otherwise you always tried to take the same shifts, making hero work really easy for both of you.
Today was another shift together with Tamaki, FatGum and Red Riot.
It was a slow night. Good for the city, boring for hero work.
When suddenly, you got notice of four different robberies nearby.
”we’ll split up. Take care of the situation and meet back up with the rest here. See you later!“ instructed FatGum and ran off to one of the robberies.
You other three immediately followed his order, splitting up and each running in a different direction.
’something is off... this has to be planned...‘
The villain at your location wasn’t really strong. Even without Tamaki nearby to strengthen your quirk you had no problems to defeat the villain, handing him over to the police shortly after.
With your job done, you went back to the place fat told you to meet up again, meeting fatgum and red riot.
”where’s Tamaki?“ you questioned, grabbing FatGum’s attention
”looks like his villain was a bit stronger that the other ones...“
”I’ll go look for him.“ with that, you ran off again.
You found Tamaki right when he crashed into a building.
‘Jesus Christ!‘
You ran up to him, hoping that he’s alright
Tamaki groaned, getting up while holding his head. Then he saw you and smiled slightly
”hi bunny...“
”come on Suneater! Finish our sweet little fight!“ a voice shouted, making Tamaki groan even more
You looked in the direction the voice came from only to see two people standing next to each other looking smug.
”they’re soulmates... that would explain at least why their quirks are so strong...“ Tamaki said to you, getting ready to continue the fight even though his head was throbbing from the crash into the building.
”well, we’re also soulmates. And we’re experienced heroes. We can do this.“ you smiled at him, laying a hand on his shoulder.
Together you used your quirks, barely stronger than the two villains.
One of them had a wind quirk, throwing you two around and trying to crash both of you into nearby buildings and sometimes succeeding.
The other one had a strength quirk, enhancing their strength and making it easier for both of them to crash you and Tamaki into the nearby buildings.
You felt your head throbbing, losing focus and really hoping that this stupid fight would end one way or another. Really not caring anymore and just wanting this headache to end.
”(h/n)! Boost!“ Tamaki yelled in your direction, grabbing your attention.
With boost, Tamaki meant a special team move you two had. You would run up to Tamaki and he would throw you up in the air. You then would use your quirk and, thanks to the boost from Tamaki, crash down on the opponent and hopefully win the fight.
Nodding, you ran in his direction, ignoring your throbbing head. Tamaki got ready to boost you, bending slightly down and holding his hands out for you to step on before he would throw you.
When you stepped in his hands he threw you up high, after that he fell onto the floor, his head killing him. Internally hoping you two would win the fight and could get home and take some painkillers against this stupid headache.
Using your quirk and Tamaki’s boost, you crashed down on the villains, successfully knocking them out and thanking whoever was listening for the fight to finally be over.
You walked up to Tamaki and sat down next to him, leaning your head on his shoulder.
”can we please go home...“ you mumbled. Tamaki only agreed and when the police took care of those villains, you texted fatgum that you’ll be going home now and then left.
Some painkillers and lots of cuddles helped both of you.

”hey lovely! I’m talking to you!“
Ignoring the voice, you kept on walking, trying to find your new class.
It was always the same, random people trying to get your soulmate number in hopes of being your soulmate.
’if they would at least stop using pet names or cat calling me I would tell them my number...‘
Someone grabbed your wrist, forcing you to stop. You turned around and saw the boy who had been calling you.
”I think I lost my number, can I have yours?“ the boy smirked, thinking he used the ultimate pick up line on you
In reality, you heard this one at least 100 times already.
”no. Now let me go please.“
”aw come on honey. You should be glad that I’m even asking you, you’re not even that pretty.“
’oh wow. A NiceGuy™‘
”i don’t care.“
When his grip on your wrist loosened, you moved away, continuing your search for your classroom.
You had seen his wrist while he was holding you, his number being 547.
’thank got that wasn’t my soulmate...‘
You finally found your new class, 1-a, and took a seat.
Looking around you noticed there were only two more people in the classroom. A tall blonde standing in front of a indigo haired boy.
The blonde gesturing wildly while talking about a game he thought the indigo haired boy would like, both not noticing they were no longer alone in the classroom.
”just come over and try it! And if you like it you can buy it yourself!“
The indigo haired boy only nodded, looking a bit sceptical about the game the blonde talked about.
Then the blonde boy noticed you, smiling brightly
”hey! Do you know (favourite game)?“
”oh yeah! That’s my favourite game!“ you walked over to the two boys, suddenly very interested in their conversation.
”my friend here won’t believe me that it’s really good! Maybe you can help me to convince him to try it?“
You began talking about the game, getting really into it and goofing around about small details and Easter eggs you found in the game, surprising both boys with your knowledge and at the same time avoiding spoilers for the indigo haired boy.
When class started, you went back to your seat. During your conversation you had learned that the blonde boy’s name is Togata Mirio and the indigo haired boy’s name is Amajiki Tamaki.
You soon became friends with both of them, hanging around between classes and walking home together. In classes like foundational hero studies you three trained together if you could.
You three were in a class together now for 3 months. After a few days a girl whose name is Hado Nejire introduced herself to you and joined your group. She was a really bubbly person and fit into your group.
You had a slight feeling that you liked amajiki more than a friend. You hadn’t asked any of them about their soulmate number yet and also didn’t plan to, not wanting to think about a way to ask them.
”hey (l/n)!“ Mirio’s cheery voice brought you out of your thoughts, making you look up at him from your desk and stopping you from packing up your things
”Care to join Tamaki, Hado and I at the beach tomorrow?“
”sounds good! Count me in!“
The next day, Mirio, Nejire and Tamaki picked you up at your house. Together the four of you went to the beach where Mirio almost immediately suggested you four play a round of beach volleyball.
You four split up into teams of two, Mirio and Nejire being one team and you and Tamaki the other.
Thanks to Nejire wearing a bikini and Mirio not wearing a shirt, you had seen their numbers.
Nejire’s number was 692, And Mirio‘s number was 529.
You looked at your wrist, covered up by a bracelet was your number. 359.
”ready?“ you looked at Tamaki, who just nodded. Mirio started the game and to your surprise, Tamaki was extremely good at this.
Together, you two were a perfect team. Easily winning against Mirio and Nejire.
During your game, your bracelet fell off of your wrist, exposing your number. You then noticed that Tamaki’s wrists were also exposed.
Looking at his wrist, you saw that his number was 359. The same as yours...
Tamaki scored another point for your team.
”Hey, uhm, can we take a break?“ you voice was barely loud enough for Mirio and Nejire to hear but they understood and were glad, both being out of breath from having to go against you and Tamaki.
Tamaki looked at you confused, wondering if something was up for you to suddenly needing a break.
You walked up to him, softly laying a hand on his shoulder
”can we talk?“
Now he was even more confused, slightly scared that he did something that could have upset you.
The two of you walked away from the others, when you were sure that the others couldn’t hear you anymore, you looked Tamaki in the eyes, startling him.
You slowly took his wrist with his number with the hand where your number was. You turned you hands around so that he was able to see both of your numbers.
Both were 359.
His eyes widened. He tried to say something, but was only able to stutter something that didn’t make sense.
He closed his eyes, took a deep breath and looked at you
”h-hello soulmate...“ his voice was trembling, but at the same time he sounded glad.
Smiling at him, you moved to hug him.
”hello soulmate...“
”hey you seeing that?“ Mirio pointed in the direction you and Tamaki went.
”Awww looks like they are soulmates!“
Nejire snapped a picture of you both, already planning on printing it and giving one to each of you. Not planning to let anyone of you forget this moment.

Tics
It always happened at the worst times.
Sure, you also had some nervous tics, like bouncing your leg or tapping your chin, pulling your earlobe, playing with the shell of your ear.
The list was long.
If you’re being honest though, you didn’t know which tics were yours and which were your soulmates.
Your connection having you two have the same tics at the same time.
There was one tic you were sure you only had because of your soulmate.
Sometimes while holding a presentation, you just turn around and face the wall without context.
Just like now.
”are you alright (l/n)?“ your teacher asked, surprised by your sudden action.
”yeah sorry, must be my soulmate...“
In a different classroom, Amajiki Tamaki was also facing the wall, anxious because of all the new people in this class.
He just had to introduce himself to the first years, no big deal, right?
Wrong.
The poor boy had tried to imagine them all as potatoes, only managing to view their heads as potatoes. He got anxious, talked something about not being able to say anything and then turned to face the wall, internally apologising to his soulmate who now had the same tic as him.
When you turned around again you finished your presentation and sat back down, trying to focus on the other presentations in class.
It was boring and you wanted to know your grade, the latter making you quite nervous.
So you started pulling your earlobe.
On the walk to the gym to let Mirio show class 1-a his strength Tamaki began pulling his earlobe.
”you alright there Tamaki?“ Mirio questioned. He hadn’t seen that one before.
”N-Not really...“
”hey hey! Is that pulling on your ear a new tic from you or is it your soulmate?“ Nejire’s bubbly voice asked, startling Tamaki.
Tamaki thought for a second. He always refrained from touching his ears since they are really sensitive.
”I-I think it’s my soulmate...“
In a different class, both of you were bouncing your legs. A tic you both had so it wasn’t sure who was at fault this time.
Then in lunch break both of you were tapping your fingers on a table, in your case distracting (b/f), in Tamaki’s case grabbing the attention of Mirio.
Then both of you started to bite your fingernails, this one coming from Tamaki. (b/f) ripped your hand away from your lips, not wanting you to catch a new habit.
”that’s it. You’ll search for your soulmate now. No buts.“ they said, getting up and pulling you with them by your hands.
”and how am I supposed to do that?“
”pull your ear, tap your Chin, I don’t know just do some things.“
Sighing, you started to feel a bit nervous about finding your soulmate so you instinctively began pulling on your earlobe, Tamaki nearby doing the same.
(B/f) pulled you around the room, searching for people who were pulling their earlobe.
Your hand crept back to your lips, this time you just started to pull at your bottom lip, Tamaki was feeling nervous because of the ear thing.
Then you saw him, sitting with two other people, pulling at his earlobe and lower lip. He was even bouncing his leg and you felt the sudden urge to do the same.
You walked up to him and pointed at the free seat in front of him, next to a girl who was actively talking about something.
”hey, can I sit here?“
The talking girl looked at you, nodded while smiling brightly and continued talking.
When you sat down you started to bounce your leg, now having the exact same tics like the boy in front of you again.
You slowly took his hand which had moved from his lip to the table, tapping his fingers on the table.
”h-Hey I think were soulmates...“ you said quietly, hoping only the boy in front of you would hear.
But the blonde next to him also heard
”oh! You’re sure? Hmmm... have you been leaning against a wall today in first class?“ the blonde asked smiling at you
You nodded, the pulling on your and Tamaki’s ear stopping.
”I-I’m sorry about that...“ the indigo haired boy said, scratching his hand which made you scratch your own
”don’t worry about it. Some of these are mine after all...“
”oh! Like the ear pulling! Amajiki doesn’t do that normally ‘cause his ears are sensitive!“ the bubbly girl said a bit too loud for your liking, making you and Tamaki flinch
”I’m sorry about the ear thing... I’ll try to stop doing that“ you smiled at him, noticing how the leg bouncing stopped.
”I’m (l/n) (y/n)! Nice to meet you soulmate!“
”A-Amajiki T-Tamaki...“

[The reader has a quirk that allows them to manipulate sand and the costume has a big bottle with sand on their back. Aaaaaand we have the big 4 instead of big 3]
You and Tamaki already knew you were soulmates, with both of you training together and working for FatGum it was only a matter of time for one of you to get hurt. And thanks to you two being soulmates, the injury started to heal when you were next to each other, telling you you were soulmates
When the mission to save the girl Eri started, you all ran into the hideout of the shie hassakai. You had fixed your costume, (f/c) shirt and Jeans and simple boots combined with a black cloak, and ran next to Tamaki.
At the front door members of them ran out and forced a few hero’s and policemen to stay out there and keep them busy.
The first room of the giant labyrinth that was their hideout was empty, nighteye was at the front of the group leading the way.
You all soon entered the basement, which then started to change because of the quirk of one of the shie hassakai members.
While trying to keep your balance, you noticed how Tamaki was starting to panic, thinking about the worst possible outcome of this.
You stumbled over to him and laid a hand on his shoulder. You didn’t know what exactly he was thinking about but you just said ”Tamaki! That won’t happen! You can do this Suneater!“
Then mirio came to you, telling the group that as long as the direction is clear, he’ll go.
With that, he ran through the changing walls and made his way to chisaki.
A few seconds later the floor opened and almost everyone fell through it. Right into a room with three villains with masks.
The heroes, including you, were getting ready to fight them, until Tamaki stepped in.
”they want as many of us here as possible. We need to save the pros quirks especially Eraserhead’s! FatGum, I can handle these three on my own!“
Nodding, fatgum announced to everyone that we’ll go, leaving Tamaki here to take care of those villains.
”mirio is sure to do something rash, please take care of him for me! And (y/n)!“
You turned to look at him
”be careful! Please!“
You nodded, responding with ”you too!“ and left, following the other heroes.
Kirishima questioned FatGum if it was okay to leave Tamaki there and rocklock only agreed, saying he also wasn’t sure but trusted fat on this.
”he’s stronger than anyone here!“ FatGum started
”his only weakness is self confidence! The pressure to do things perfectly sometimes leaves him feeling crushed breaking his spirit! And yet, he has risen to become one of UA‘s big four under that conditions! If someone like him says he’s enough we have to trust him!“ you finished, knowing how strong Tamaki is
The group was able to run further into the basement for a few minutes, until a member of the shie hassakai with a fire quirk sent fire your way, forcing the heroes at the front to stop.
You ran to the front, using your sand to protect everyone from the flames.
”keep going! I’ll stay here!“ you announced, not looking at the others in your group.
”(l/n), don’t get burned!“ FatGum said while continuing to run with the rest of the group.
You sighed and wrapped the villain in your sand, trying to keep him still until the others were out of his range.
But it wasn’t that easy.
Your sand fell to the floor, some particles of it turned into glass and the villain smirked at you.
”you don’t think sand is gonna stop me huh?“ he laughed, coming closer to you
’dang it, how hot is his fire?!‘
You used your sand to block his fire, trying to keep him busy until he was tired or made a mistake. Unfortunately, he thought of himself as trash and was ready to die for his boss.
He burned your right arm and leg and smirked at you.
”not being able to kill me sure is a disadvantage for you hero, huh?“
He send more fire your way, you were barely able to block it with your sand.
”even if you defeat me you’ll all get arrested soon! It’s better if you just give up!“ you tried to reason, hoping to get through to him. Or to at least make some time to prepare an attack.
The villain laughed again, looking you straight in the eyes. ”to be fair, I don’t care. The boss has picked me, society’s trash, and asked me to join him. I’d do everything for him even if it kills me.“
Smirking, he send more fire your way. Your try to dodge it forced you against a wall, your sand barely enough to block it and allowing him to burn your left cheek, forcing your eye shut.
”give up hero! Or I’ll have to kill you.“
Now it was your turn to smirk.
The whole time you were either dodging his attacks or getting burned, you used the majority of your sand to grind through the floor behind him, trying to make more sand for you to use.
And now it was ready.
Like a giant wave, the sand build itself up behind the villain and crashed down.
His tries to use his fire to get free again we’re useless, the sand being too much this time.
You hardened some sand around the villains hands and feet, letting the rest come back to the big bottle on your back and effectively tying him up.
Because of the lack of oxygen he had while being buried in your sand, he was unconscious.
Sighing, you tried to catch up with the rest of the group, stumbling for a few steps and then falling to the floor, loosing consciousness.
When you woke up again, policemen were taking care of the villain, one of them trying to help you but making your burns worse.
You got up and one of the policemen informed you that the fight was over and we saved the girl.
You thanked him and immediately rushed to get out there again, hoping that Tamaki was alright.
Outside of the building, you saw many injured people and destroyed buildings.
You saw FatGum in his thin form and kirishima unconscious on a stretcher.
Then you saw mirio injured and unconscious on another stretcher, followed by nighteye who was in an even worse condition.
Then you saw Tamaki. Right eye closed and arms injured. His costume was torn and it was obvious that his fight against those three villains was harder than he expected it to be.
You ran up to him, ignoring your burns which told you to stop and get help. If someone could help you it was the presence of your soulmate, Tamaki.
”Tamaki!“ you said, getting his attention on you.
His eye widened, lips parted and happy to see you. Then he realised you were injured and walked up to you, immediately hugging you to get as close as possible.
”I’m so glad you’re okay...“ you mumbled against his shoulder.
You felt your injuries healing on their own. When you looked at Tamaki you saw that his injuries were also healing.
You two were just standing there hugging and healing. Thankful for your soulmate connection.
When the rest of your injuries healed, you kissed him and smiled.
”I love you“

Rescue mission
Working in an office building wasn’t as interesting as working as a hero, but someone had to do it.
Your job was mainly finishing up mountains of paperwork. You’d get files at the start of your week and had to finish them until the end.
It wasn’t hard, it was just a bit boring at times, your co workers making the job a bit more durable.
But a few days ago something appeared on your arm.
It was a small description. When you saw it you knew what it was.
It was the description of how you would meet your soulmate.
The problem with it was the way it described your first meeting.
It was really vague and sounded like someone really couldn’t bother to explain this.
Written on your arm was ’a loud crashing followed by screams and dust. A heroic presence.‘
Sighing, you mumbled ”what’s that even supposed to mean...“
It gave you an uneasy feeling. Something told you your first meeting with your soulmate would either go bad, or happen right after something bad.
Typing away at your computer, you didn’t notice how late it got. Focusing on finishing the last files before going home.
A coworker came into your office, reminding you of the time and that you also should go home soon.
”hm? Oh yeah right, thank you. I’ll just finish this up and then go home“ you replied, smiling at them.
They sighed, wished you a good night and then left.
’why am I feeling so uneasy...‘
You tried to ignore that feeling, finishing up the last files and getting ready to leave when you heard a loud crashing. Followed by screams from outside of the building.
Outside of the building, Tamaki Amajiki aka Suneater was on a patrol. It was a slow night, not many villains were outside so he only really was walking around
Until he heard a loud crashing and civilians screaming. Then he saw dust coming from an office building.
’t-the building collapsed!-‘
He used his tentacles to pull the civilians away, trying to keep them away from harm.
’there shouldn’t be any people in there at this time...‘
”Please! My coworker is still in there! You have to help them please!“
Tamaki’s eyes widened, someone was still in there?
Without really thinking about it, he ran to the collapsed building, trying to move as many broken parts as possible to find the one person left in there.
Then he suddenly remembered the description on his arm that showed up a few days ago.
’a loud crashing followed by screams and dust. A quick ending‘
’a-a quick ending...?“
After some more minutes of moving debris he finally found you. Lying in the dust, injured and barely conscious.
Tamaki carefully picked you up bridal style. Your right leg looked like it was broken and you were bleeding.
Then, both of your eyes widened. The two of you realising that you’re soulmates.
Tamaki started to panick when your eyes closed and your body went limp. You lost consciousness.
He immediately brought you to an ambulance, asking to come with you to the hospital while at the same time texting FatGum to take over his shift.
’p-please be okay...‘
His description showing ’a quick ending‘ was scaring him to no end. He was hoping that you’ll be okay.
When you woke up two days later, your body feeling sore and your leg in a cast.
You looked around and saw the young hero who had saved you from the debris of your collapsed workplace.
And at the same time, he was your soulmate.
When he noticed you were awake, his eyes widened and his lips curled up in a soft smile.
”oh thank god you’re alive! I-I was so scared because of my description...“
When you looked at him in confusion, he rolled up his sleeve and showed you his description.
It looked like yours, only the last part was different.
While yours talked about a heroic presence, meaning Tamaki who worked as a hero, his talked about a quick ending, probably meaning you passing out after you met.
You smiled at him and carefully moved to hug him. Both of you immediately melting into the hug.

Happy birthday
One problem with the whole soulmate system is that it only works when both soulmates are at the required age.
In our world, where at your 17th birthday your right eye changes to the colour of your soulmates right eye, that means both have to be at least 17.
The problem is, there are also people without soulmates.
So many people think they don’t have a soulmate, even though their soulmate is just younger than them.
”Ready to find out who your soulmate is (y/n)?!“ Nejire‘s cheerful voice filled the almost empty classroom, making you flinch because of how loud she was.
”I hope I’ll find out, I could also be older or don’t have one you know.“
”Oh wow you sound like Tamaki right before his birthday.“ Mirio slightly patted your head, meanwhile Tamaki laid his head on his desk, not wanting to get reminded of his last birthday.
”and I was right with what I said...“ Tamaki mumbled with his head still on his desk
The poor boy still had his normal eyes. At his birthday Mirio forced him to close his eyes until midnight, where the eyes should change. But when he opened them again he still had his normal indigo ones.
You hoped that Tamaki was just the older one, it’s always devastating to find out you don’t have a soulmate.
”so anyways (y/n), got something planned for tonight?“ questioned Mirio, looking you straight in your (e/c) eyes.
”the usual, just a day earlier,” you started to clarify, ”food at my place, depending on your wishes a movie or some games. Good thing it’s Friday so we can stay up late with no consequences“
”Oh! Oh! Remember that we’ll count down to midnight and you’ll have to close your eyes!“ Nejire commented in her excited and loud voice.
Shrugging, you just nodded your head and left to go to your assigned seat, your teacher entering the classroom.
You sometimes noticed Tamaki staring at you, but when you looked in his direction he immediately averted his eyes and tried to focus on the lesson, getting red in the face.
Every time he stared at you, he was wondering if your eye colour will change. Or if you’ll be met with the same disappointment as him.
The possibility that you two could be soulmates never crossed his mind, being too negative to accept that his soulmate could be the one person he trusts the most besides Mirio.
When your classes finished and your last teacher dismissed the class into the weekend, you immediately walked up to Tamaki, who stood up and waited with you for Mirio and Nejire to get ready to leave.
The four of you walked to your house, joking around and laughing, forgetting that you’ll soon find something out about your soulmate.
When midnight was nearing, Mirio and Nejire were getting excited, you and Tamaki on the other hand were getting anxious and curious at the same time.
”(y/n)-Chan! Put this on and take it off when it’s midnight!“ Nejire beamed, handing you a black eye mask.
When you put it over your eyes, Mirio and Nejire started loudly counting down the seconds till midnight.
With each passing second you could feel yourself getting more nervous, fearing that you will take off the mask and find out that nothing changed, just like what happened to Tamaki.

Then you noticed something about him

”YOU TWO ARE SOULMATES!“
Have they practiced this? How are they so in sync.
Staring at Tamaki, slowly realising that his eye now looked exactly like yours, you jumped up and ran off to the bathroom, scaring Tamaki.
Did you not like him being your soulmate?
When you entered the bathroom, you stared in the mirror at your eye which was now an intense indigo colour.
‘Thank god...‘
When you re-entered the living room where you and your friends were staying in, you noticed that only Tamaki was there, looking scared and... sad
”I’m sorry...“
His voice was quiet, barely above a whisper but loud enough for you to hear.
”why are you sorry?“
”I’m sorry that we’re soulmates... you just seemed like you didn’t like it...“
Without saying a word, you hugged him, seemingly chasing his fears away.
He slowly laid his hands around your hips, hugging you back and burying his face in your neck
”I don’t like it, i love it. I just wanted to make sure I’m not dreaming... sorry for running off like that Tamaki...“ your voice was soft, calming him even more and showing him that you were probably the best person to be his soulmate.
”I guess that explains why my eyes stayed the same at my birthday huh...“

I know them!
No one knew how this whole soulmate system worked. Or why everyone had their soulmates name written on their wrist.
When he was alone, you could find Tamaki staring at his wrist, wishing he had the courage to find his soulmate.
But his anxiety told him not to try it.
Whenever he saw the name on his wrist, written in a beautiful way and in a strong black, his anxiety would skyrocket and tell him his soulmate wouldn’t like him, they would think he’s weird, they would find someone else and be happy with them.
So when he started going to UA and still hadn’t found out who his soulmate was, he started to wear bracelets to cover the name up.
It was normal for people to cover up the name.
Maybe they had a dangerous life and wanted to protect their soulmate? Or maybe they didn’t want to get dragged into something their soulmate did?
The list for reasons was long, and one of the reasons was Tamaki’s reason.
Anxiety.
Tamaki had managed to keep the name covered up for the first two years of UA and when people asked him about it he would find excuses to leave.
But on one day in his third year, he forgot to wear the bracelet he always wore.
He first noticed it when he already was in his class.
”T-This is bad...“ he mumbled under his breath.
He had chosen to leave his uniform jacket at home, it was warm enough to just wear the short-sleeved shirt with his tie, so now his wrist with his soulmates name was exposed.
His anxiety reached higher levels the longer he thought about what could happen, forcing him to sit down at his desk in hopes he could calm down soon.
”I-It’s just one day... I-I can do this... t-this is not the e-end of the world...“
Mirio saw his best friend sitting there with signs of an upcoming anxiety attack and walked to him.
”Tamaki? Are you alright? Do you need something?“ Mirio’s voice was calm, trying not to scare Tamaki.
Tamaki just shook his head and focused on his breathing, trying his best to calm down again.
This isn’t the end right? It’s just one day. There is no way he will meet his soulmate today just because he forgot his bracelet.
When Nejire entered the classroom, she saw her two friends at Tamaki’s desk.
Walking up to them she said in her cheerful voice ”good morning!“ and smiled brightly at them.
Then she saw the name on Tamaki’s wrist.
”hm? Oh Amajiki! Is that your soulmates name? (L/N) (Y/N)? Oh i know them!“
Tamaki was as white as a wall, realising that, in fact, one day without him covering up his soulmates name would be the end for him.
While he was in class he tried to cover up the name as best as he could, considering he was wearing short sleeves and forgot his bracelet.
But what Nejire said wouldn’t leave him alone.
”you guys go without me! I have to go somewhere first!“
With that, Nejire ran off in the opposite direction of the mess hall, where they would usually eat in their breaks.
When Nejire later joined the boys in the mess hall, she wasn’t alone.
With her was someone Tamaki didn’t recognise.
”guys, this is (L/N) (Y/N)!“
Tamaki’s eyes widened
”(L/N), these are Togata Mirio and Amajiki Tamaki!“
Mirio realised what Nejire was doing and stood up, smiling brightly.
He always wanted that Tamaki stops hiding and starts searching for his soulmate.
”I forgot mr. Aizawa wanted to talk to Nejire and I, we’ll see you in class later Tamaki!“
And with that, Tamaki and (Y/N) were alone
Tamaki was able to hear his heart beating fast, his hands were sweaty and he was staring at his food
’this is it‘ he thought, ’this is my end‘
”Amajiki-kun?“
’now they will tell me that they are not interested in me and are sorry we are soulmates...‘
”so you’re my soulmate huh... I’m glad...“
His head snapped up.
He was expecting everything, but not this.
”y-you’re glad?“ he couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
”yeah. Why shouldn’t I be? I finally found my soulmate!“
When you sat down next to him and softly laid a hand on his shoulder, he felt how his anxiety melted away.
”w-were you searching f-for me...?“
”kind of. I knew your name but not who exactly you are and was scared you wouldn’t like me...“ his ears perked up at your sentence, surprised that you two were in the same situation.
”I-I had the exact same fear... but I also covered up the name...“
You two continued talking for the rest of your break and promised each other to meet up at the gate after school.
With each minute you were with him, Tamaki realised how much he loved you and how happy he was for forgetting his bracelet that day.
He never covered your name up again.
And no one was surprised when you two started dating a month later, or when he proposed to you one year after you graduated from UA.

The waiting game
The small timer counted down, telling you when you will meet your soulmate.
When you were 6 years old, you were incredibly hyped to meet your soulmate. The timer showing you that you’ll have to wait for 10 more years making you go crazy.

With each passing year you got more hyped, at least until you were 14.
The timer showed you had 2 more years until you would meet your soulmate.
You weren’t really thinking about it anymore, focusing more and more on your graduation from middle school and your goal to go to UA after that.
Everyone wants to become a hero these days, but not everyone can really be one. And to make sure that you will be accepted at UA and can become a great hero, you had trained almost every day after school, focusing on physical exercise and your quirk.
”Today is the day, today is the entrance exam...“
It was interesting to hear Present Mic talk about the exam.
There are 4 robots, each worth a different amount of points.
1 point, 2 points and 3 points.
The fourth robot wasn’t mentioned until someone with a loud and cheery voice asked about it.
The last robot is worth nothing and is just a distraction. Present mic said it’s better to avoid it and keep destroying robots that are worth some points.
After the explanation you went to area C, where you’re supposed to take the exam.
You were wearing (f/c) pants and a (f/c) shirt.
While stretching, you saw the timer again

”BEGIN!“ present mic‘s loud voice interrupted your thoughts, reminding you of the exam and making you run into the fake city.
The start was rough, lots of people were faster than you and were able to destroy robots before you got there.
'Gotta think fast... I didn’t see anyone run this way!‘
You ran into a different street, ignoring the fighting around you until you found many robots without people near.
'If I get all of them I’ll be at 25 points...‘
Using your quirk the best way you could, you were able to score the full 25 points you were able to get here, making you run to the next street to get even more points.

Destroying more and more robots and gaining more and more points, you forgot about your timer, having pushed the thought of meeting your soulmate so soon to the back of your mind.

”h-help!“ Even though it was quiet, you were able to hear the small cry for help clearly. You spun around, trying to find the person who needed help.
Until you heard and felt something gigantic coming near you

You finally found the person who needed help, a boy with messy indigo hair trapped under robot parts, staring up at the gigantic 0-pointer.
You tried moving the broken robot parts, trying to help the boy to get away from that robot approaching.
”ugh it’s no use, I can’t move this fast enough. The robot will be here before we’re gone!“
The next step of the giant robot seemed to switch something in your head, making you run towards it without thinking about getting hurt.
‘What am i doing? My body started to move before I could think!‘
When you were near enough, you used almost all of your remaining strength and stamina, using your quirk to destroy the giant 0-pointer.
Running back to the boy, both of you looked each other in the eyes.
You felt a small shock at your wrist where your timer was, immediately looking at it

The boy also looked at his wrist, staring at his timer in shock. It showed the same thing yours did.
”don’t say anything, let’s get you out of there first...“
Trying again to lift the broken parts, this time with help from the boy who seemed to be your soulmate, you were able to get him out of there, smiling at him
”so... we’re soulmates huh?“ you took his hand, smiling and at the same time checking him for injuries.
”... y-yeah... I-I’m Amajiki Tamaki... n-nice to meet you...“
’he’s so shy... it’s really cute‘
”nice to meet you Tamaki, I’m (l/n) (y/n)!“
”(y/n)...“ he whispered, trying out your name and smiling slightly.
You two just looked at each other for a few minutes, forgetting about the exam.
”hey Tamaki?“
”hm?“
”how about we get some more points? Let’s try and get into UA together!“ his eyes widened a bit. Oh right, we’re here to get into UA!
You two stayed together and destroyed robots, gaining more points until present mic announced that the exam is over.
After leaving the fake city, hand in hand, a blonde boy ran towards you and Tamaki
”Hey Tamaki! How did it go! And- oh! Who are you?“ The tall blonde smiled brightly at you, then he saw that you and Tamaki were holding hands and his smile grew into a smirk.
”I-it went great Mirio... u-until I got stuck under robot parts...“ Tamaki stated, looking away
”I’m (l/n) (y/n)! I helped Tamaki and then we found out we’re soulmates!“ you squeezed Tamaki’s hand slightly while smiling at the blonde, whose name seemed to be Mirio
”HA! I TOLD you it wouldn’t go bad when you meet your soulmate! Now we just have to hope that we’ll all get into UA together!“
A few days later you got your letter, telling you that you got accepted into UA. Tamaki and Mirio also got accepted and, together with a girl whose name is Nejire, you all soon got called the big 4 of UA, the 4 top students.

Tied together
Whenever Tamaki saw the red string on his pinky appear, he moved a few steps away so that it will disappear again.
Sometimes he thought about coming closer, searching for his soulmate and hopefully finding them.
But his anxiety told him not to.
So thanks to that, he developed the habit to step away until the string disappears again
While talking to mirio, Tamaki felt the familiar pulling on his pinky. He didn’t really think of anything when he laid his hands on mirio’s shoulders and moved to the side until the string disappeared.
”why did you do that?“ Mirio asked with a confused look on his face
”do what?“
”That stepping aside right now?“
Tamaki’s hands dropped back to his sides, realising what he did
”I-I- u-uhm...“ he was stuttering nonsense and trying to find an excuse, his mind running a mile a minute.
”wait don’t tell me-” Mirio started, staring at Tamaki, ”are you avoiding your soulmate?“
Tamaki just nodded, avoiding eye contact and mentally preparing for Mirio to scold him.
”I-I just don’t think they’ll like me...“
”nonsense Tamaki! You’re soulmates! Why shouldn’t they like you?“
Tamaki wanted to answer his best friend, counting off things he doesn’t like about himself, things that he thought would make his soulmate not like him
But instead, he felt another slight pull on his pinky, immediately staring at the bright red string attached to it
Mirio noticed Tamaki staring at his pinky and put his hands on his friends shoulders, forcing him to stay there and the string to stay visible for Tamaki and his soulmate.
”M-Mirio let me go please-”
Tamaki felt the pulling getting stronger, his soulmate was getting nearer to him, but mirio only shook his head
”dude you’re soulmates! Of course they will like you! You should stop listening to your anxiety for once and allow things to happen Tamaki!
Tamaki kept staring at his pinky, not daring to move out of Mirio’s hold.
He knew Mirio was right. He knew he should ignore his anxiety and find his soulmate.
But whenever he saw the red string connecting him to his soulmate he froze and his fight or flight response kicked in, always ending in flight.
Tamaki saw the string getting shorter, telling him that his soulmate is coming nearer and nearer.
He was just standing in a hallway with Mirio, his soulmate doesn’t even have to be near him to see him, the string showing them who they are looking for in this almost empty hallway.
Tamaki felt his heartbeat getting faster when he felt another pull on his pinky.
And then, he slapped mirio’s hands away and ran in the direction of a nearby empty classroom, closing the door and sliding down the wall until he sat on the floor.
'I-I can’t... I just can’t...‘
Mirio stood there, confused because of Tamaki’s sudden reaction. Being slightly scared that he went too far by holding him there.
”excuse me?“ a soft voice called into the hallway
Mirio turned to look at you, a student from class 3-b with (h/c) hair
The student noticed that their pinky wasn’t tied to Mirio’s pinky, being slightly disappointed that their soulmate was probably hiding somewhere.
”you don’t know by chance if someone’s in that classroom over there?“ pointing in the direction where your string was telling you your soulmate was, and at the same time in the direction where Tamaki ran.
”yup! My friend is in there hiding from his soulmate! That has to be you, right?“ mirio was happy for Tamaki, you seemed like a nice person.
”y-yeah it looks so... Thanks for the help“ you gave mirio a genuine smile before walking up to the classroom door
”oh before you go in there! My friend has anxiety and is really scared of meeting you! Please don’t be mad at him for hiding.“ you gave mirio a nod and slowly opened the door.
The classroom was empty, the only thing in there besides desks and chairs was the indigo haired boy sitting at the wall, shaking and on the verge of an anxiety attack.
’oh my-‘
You slowly walked up to him and crouched down to his height. You saw the red string connecting your pinkies and smiled slightly.
”hey...“ you tried to talk as softly as possible, not wanting the boy to freak out even more.
His shaking increased, realising that you found him and he was a shaking mess on the floor.
His reaction to your voice scared you a bit and you did the first thing that came to mind.
Sitting down in front of him, you slowly pulled him towards you and into a hug, rubbing soothing circles on his back and whispering ”it’s okay“
Tamaki felt himself calming down, it wasn’t just because someone was helping him with his panic, to him it felt like you, his soulmate, were the sole reason he was calming down.
It felt great, something about you was incredibly calming to him and he was mad at himself for running away for so long, regretting not meeting you sooner.
”I-I think I-I’m better now... thank you...“ tamakis voice was still a bit shakey, or it was his normal stutter, either way he had calmed down enough to look at you, now really regretting hiding from you.
The way you looked at him was so soft he thought his heart would melt at the sight
”well I should probably introduce myself...“ you started, trying to hold eye contact and slowly moving your hand to intertwine your fingers with his.
”I’m (l/n) (y/n), since we’re soulmate you can call me (y/n) or whatever you’d like to call me“ you gave Tamaki a genuine smile
”I-I’m Amajiki Tamaki... y-you can call me Tamaki... if you’d like...“ he took your hand and smiled at you, the string connecting you two giving a slight pull.
”c-can I... do something?“ Tamaki started to tremble slightly, hoping you’d let him and won’t be mad at him.
”sure Tamaki“
Tamaki moved his hand to cup your cheek, leaning in until you were only inches apart
His eyes fluttered shut, yours doing the same.
He closed the small distance between you two and kissed you for the first, but not last time.

But because of private things and writers block I think I’ll try to work on it when I can and post when I’m done with the Oneshots
