It somehow completely escaped my notice until now that in Triple Zero Green Watch was composed of Niner and Scorch.
NINER and SCORCH.
This changes everything.
#republic commando#clonecumber rereads repcomm#scorch#niner#no wonder Scorch gravitated toward Niner in ImpCom like he belonged there lol#and Niner wasn't surprised at all#and even tolerated it really well considering he mentioned a few times that he was too emotionally exhausted#to care about or connect to anyone who wasn't HIS brother(s) anymore#he took Scorch popping up at his shoulder abd orbiting him restlessly like it was one of his own squad lol#they became FRIENDS#Now I'm ravenously curious what happened during their watch shifts that made Scorch take to Niner and vice versa lol#Boss and Darman probably sat in companionable silence most of the time when they weren't amiably bullshitting about making things blow up#Atin and Fixer were probably interesting but they're both geeks at heart so I figure there was probably tense professionalism interspersed#with moments of intense bonding against their will lol#Sev and Fi have whole FICS#but Niner and Scorch???#guys what HAPPENED#unlikely buddies ❤️#anyway this made me laugh I love it#best relationship in the series for the ebxt five minutes
