That, plus the tail and his possession of the Anacondrai staff, leads me to believe that back during the production and airing of Season 1, he may have been meant to be the sole General of the Anacondrai before Season 4 made it canon that the Anacondrai had not one, but multiple generals.

Meet Syzygy/Etza, a halfling of Fangpyre and Constrictai.

Contrary to Sunspot Etza didn't get any kind of abilities for being a halfling, the venom is weak and barely makes the target feel funny and while a bit stronger than your average Fangpyre is considerable weaker than your regular Constrictai. Her favourite hobby is crocheting.

Elemental Serpentine AU Fangpyre venom post!

Fangpyre venom is capable of transforming any living thing by giving them serpentine-like characteristics, such as scales, fangs, claws, and a tail. Most of the victim's original physical traits are not lost, though some may be altered, such as their tongue becoming long and forked. Despite the presence of fangs, the victims do not develop their own venom.

The transformation usually occurs over a period of ~24 hours. While the transformation itself is not known to be painful, it can cause great emotional distress. A fully transformed victim may experience personality changes, often becoming less social and more timid, or even aggressive.

Other physical symptoms include difficulty regulating temperature (in previously warm-blooded victims), suppressed appetite, and depending on environment, brumation.

Even once the transformation is fully complete, it can be reversed by administering antivenom, though some physical changes may remain.

I'm keeping the original post intact- mostly to avoid confusion from having two very similar versions of the same post floating around, and because while the above image is no longer canon to my AU, it is far too adorable to delete.

In Ninja vs. Fangpyre there’s a small comic

Venomoid!Acronix, displaying multiple signs of extreme distress, including a flared hood and bleeding from the eyes and mouth (autohaemorraging). While blood from the mouth is a normal sign of distress in fangpyre, actual tears of blood aren't normal- that is a sign of damage to the spectacle(the clear scale over a snake's eyes).

Fangpyre Bite Complications

Reversal Syndrome: a condition were a seemingly full and finalized transformation begins to reverse on its own, sometimes years or decades later. Turned with this condition can also be reverted to human form with fangpyre anti venom. This condition is caused by a mutation in the liver that changes how fangpyre venom is metabolized in the human body, preventing the chemical that aids in finalizing the transformation from being produced. It is unknown if every turned with this mutation will develop reversal syndrome.

Half Turned: A half turned is the result of a low venom dose or a weak batch, and happens when the transformation stops early, often, this condition is irreversible, and warning signs such as a slow transformation must be monitored for so the cure can be applied before it's too late. This condition can have many root causes, all related to the fangpyre, ranging from a poor diet, insomnia or a recent cold the fangpyre isn't fully over or has yet to develop symptoms of. It is substantially more common in accidental envenomation events, as panicked fangpyre won't always inject enough venom for a full transformation.

Mutant Venom Syndrome: a condition were the venom fails to mutate the turned correctly, and instead forms teratomas throughout the patients body, almost invariably resulting in death of allowed to run it's course, although fortunately for the rare survivors, the teratomas are generally benign. Most cases are caught early and quickly reversed. Root causes include a couple different viral infections that can afflict either party, deformity or tumors in the venom glands, or the presence of a malignant tumor in the turned patient.

I’m very much late on World Snake Day but I gotta post this one. I don’t have much bio on my other Serpentine OCs but more like simple explanations.

So you’ve seen him around here and there on my blog before if you’ve been around long enough.

Here is Nidhogg, a Fangpyre warrior who took up archery during the Serpentine War and he was taught by Belladonna in his teens. (Take note, I made this AU before the timeline had been confirmed and the Serpentine War lasted quite a bit and happened ten years before something we would consider canon. Again, my AU, I’m throwing canon right out the door because the writers can go f—)

Anyways, he was basically taught by Belladonna and in turn he was taught about her more peaceful ideals by her as well. He didn’t understand her beliefs because he was still a Serpentine teen chasing after his people’s approval, but he did know enough when it came time to protect others which would eventually lead him to betray his own tribe in present day, much like Belladonna had during the late stages of the first serpentine war.

He’d also eventually meet Belladonna’s teen son, Vasuki when the Fangpyre met the Hypnobrai which would led to some interesting conversations.

(Does the Fangpyre venom have to puncture skin to enter a person's bloodstream? Or does it only have to hit the skin? Because I would think the first option would be true, but that would make it so that Jay didn't care at all that the fang punctured through his skin to make him start bleeding. Which could possibly make sense with Jay's character, but I also feel like Jay would be the type of person to make a big deal out of a small puncture wound, which is understandable. So in that case the second would possibly make more sense? Maybe?)
