To add onto a post I did a few days ago:

The Albert in my mind was childhood best friends with the Delancey brothers.

When he ran away from home, he never saw them again.

He and Race got sent to the refuge about a year before the strike, and he reunited with “Os and Mo”. He refused to call them the Delancey brothers, but quickly got angrier and angrier when the brothers wouldn’t talk to him and just treated him like any other kid there.

While Albert was angry, he was rebellious and fought to protect other boys in the refuge.

That’s when the brothers got word from higher ups to permanently silence Al. And while they beat him up they hit a part of his head that messed up his hearing for that ear.

Albert was way more emotionally hurt than physically, but from that day on he called them the Delancey brothers.
