Island Peak Climbing
Island Peak, also known as Imja Tse, is a popular 6,189 meter (20,305 ft) peak in the Khumbu region of Nepal. It is a relatively easy climb, making it a good option for first-time mountaineers. The peak is located in the Chhukung Valley, surrounded by other high peaks, including Lhotse, Nuptse, and Makalu.
Island Peak is a challenging climb, but it is also very rewarding. The views from the summit are spectacular, and the experience of climbing a Himalayan peak is unforgettable.
A typical Island Peak climbing itinerary is 16 days long. The first few days are spent trekking to Base Camp, which is located at 5,600 meters (18,373 ft).
